Chapter 1304: Chapter 0746: I Wasn’t Bragging, Was I?_2 Chapter 1304: Chapter 0746: I Wasn’t Bragging, Was I?_2 This Teleportation Array was the main means of communication between the cultivators of Chaoyang Palace and Xidu, North Capital. Assistance to Chaoyang Palace from Xidu and North Capital mainly came through here. No matter what, this Teleportation Array had to be destroyed.

For Emperor Jianwu and his allies, destroying this Teleportation Array was very troublesome and the chances of success were not great, but for Qi Tian, simple methods were plentiful. Qi Tian originally wanted to handle this matter personally; during his time at the Saint’s Tomb, despite the good outcome, he felt a considerable amount of pent-up anger and had found no means to vent it. Charging into Chaoyang Palace with the Yonghe Stick and fiercely battling the cultivators gathered there would surely allow him to release the anger in his heart.

However, this thought was just a fleeting one in Qi Tian’s mind. He did not wish to waste too much time at Chaoyang Palace. Moreover, despite the intense battle at the Chaoyang Palace, with thousands of cultivators fighting back and forth, there were few truly valuable targets worthy of Qi Tian’s effort. Setting aside the others and focusing on figures at the Prince level, none from Xidu or Zhongdu, aside from Emperor Jianwu and his companions, had come. If Qi Tian were to rush into Chaoyang Palace now and wreak havoc, his fierce reputation would surely reach the ears of the Princes in Xidu and Zhongdu, potentially scaring them off from coming. This was not the outcome Qi Tian wished to see.

Therefore, Qi Tian had to forcibly restrain his urge to act, merely allowing more glimmering sand particles to fly into Chaoyang Palace to provide support, while he continued to stand outside, quietly being an onlooker, watching as the bloodshed and slaughter unfolded within Chaoyang Palace.

With the aid of the glimmering sand particles, Emperor Jianwu and his group first stabilized their retreat and then shifted from defense to offense, starting to push back the foreign cultivators in Chaoyang Palace.

The subsequent battle went smoothly. The foreign cultivators entrenched in Chaoyang Palace began to taste casualties, and as time passed, more and more of them sustained injuries or died, gradually showing signs of faltering. At this point, some quick thinkers realized something was amiss. Instead of intensifying their offense or defense, they prepared to retreat toward the Teleportation Array, ready to escape from Chaoyang Palace and Eastern Capital City to a safer place if the situation deteriorated further.

Qi Tian knew that keeping the Teleportation Array intact was no longer valuable. He hadn’t rushed to destroy it in the beginning because there were still people who needed to use the Teleportation Array to get to Chaoyang Palace. But now, with the situation changing rapidly and people starting to leave through the Teleportation Array, delaying any longer would allow more and more cultivators to escape from Chaoyang Palace, which would lessen the triumph of their victory.

There was no need to perform two tasks when one would suffice, therefore Qi Tian did not call for additional manpower or methods. He dispatched another glimmering sand particle, and this time, it was at the Nascent Soul Stage. Qi Tian didn’t instruct it to kill, but rather to swiftly breach the defenses of Chaoyang Palace, locate the Teleportation Array, and destroy it—that was its only objective, it was not to harm any other cultivators.

The glimmering sand particle was promptly sent on its mission. Upon entering Chaoyang Palace, it moved as if in an uninhabited land, with no cultivator able to stop it—most did not even notice its presence. In no time at all, the particle reached the Teleportation Array, which had been heavily guarded. Tiny in size, it went unnoticed as it weaved through the gaps between people and soon arrived at the Teleportation Array. Following Qi Tian’s orders, the particle commenced the destruction of the Teleportation Array.

For a being at the Nascent Soul Stage, destroying a Teleportation Array was all too easy. The cultivators guarding the Teleportation Array did not even realize what had happened before it was already destroyed.

The cultivators guarding the Teleportation Array were instantly thrown into chaos; some clamored to apprehend the culprit behind the Teleportation Array’s destruction while others rushed towards the Array, hoping to see if they could use technical means to repair it in a short time.

The groups were in disarray, lacking someone to step forward and take unified command. They hailed from Xidu and North Capital—during easy battles, they could discuss and cooperate in an emergency, but now, with the Teleportation Array destroyed and their retreat cut off, their fragile alliance was severely tested.

The relentless sands of the desert, however, did not stop their destruction because the cultivators had reacted; they continued to bombard the Teleportation Array several more times, shattering it beyond simple repair. It would require a complete professional redesign and construction to create a brand-new Teleportation Array. And that was only possible given the designs, to begin with. Without them, a Teleportation Array wasn’t something that could just be cobbled together; it required an Array Master skilled in such arrays, and moreover, this Array Master would need to be familiar with the original location the Array linked to, and must acquire the willingness of the corresponding side to connect with the new Array, along with some necessary information. Only then could the Array be rebuilt and linked up.

But clearly, none of these conditions were met at the moment. Thus, the invaders—once the aggressors—had lost all avenues of retreat. Escaping was no longer an option for them; the recent fierce combat had terrified them to their core. To turn around and continue clashing with Emperor Jianwu and his forces—they simply didn’t have the courage anymore.

At this moment, the situation on the battlefield underwent a fundamental reversal. Emperor Jianwu and his allies, having gained the upper hand, could clearly sense their enemies’ morale weakening, while their own side grew increasingly adept in combat. The scales of victory were swiftly tilting in their favor.

Several Princes shouted excitedly, rallying their troops’ courage, urging them to fight fearlessly, to battle and chop off the heads of the cultivators who dared to invade Eastern Capital City.

Seeing this, Qi Tian knew he didn’t need to make a move anymore; Emperor Jianwu and his men could win the battle on their own. Therefore, Qi Tian ordered the Lucent Sands to retrieve all of the yellow grit, and after that, he didn’t make another move, simply staying and watching as an onlooker.

Just as Qi Tian had predicted, in half a day, Emperor Jianwu and his allies achieved an overwhelming victory. More than half of the cultivators from Xidu and North Capital who had occupied Chaoyang Palace were slain. Of those who remained, except for a very few who escaped, the rest were captured by Emperor Jianwu and his men. With an indisputable advantage, they secured Chaoyang Palace and expelled the invasive cultivators from Eastern Capital City, regaining firm control over it.

As the battle neared its end, Emperor Jianwu, Huoyang Emperor, and the other four Princes came to Qi Tian, expressing their sincere thanks. They knew that despite being overall weaker than the invaders of Chaoyang Palace, they could only attribute such a result to one reason: Qi Tian must have intervened substantially. Otherwise, they would not have turned the tide so quickly.

Qi Tian chuckled and said, “I told you, didn’t I? Taking Chaoyang Palace wouldn’t take much effort at all. How about that? I wasn’t boasting, right?”
