Chapter 1172 - 1172 0681 Triple Headshots_2

Chapter 1172: Chapter 0681: Triple Headshots_2 Chapter 1172: Chapter 0681: Triple Headshots_2 Qi Tian looked at Zhou Ping diving down toward him, his face impassive. He now felt an impulse that overshadowed everything else, to careen forward, grab the Yonghe Stick he had just acquired, and have a proper fight with Zhou Ping.

Ever since advancing to the Third Level of the Gold Core Realm, Qi Tian hadn’t sparred with an opponent of equal strength. Zhou Ping was at the Eighth Level of the Gold Core stage, which made him a decent candidate for Qi Tian. If he let this opportunity slip away, who knew when the next would arise?

Qi Tian’s urge was strong, but it wasn’t the time for rashness, to engage in a one-on-one match, as it would be too time-consuming. Moreover, Qi Tian hadn’t recovered to his optimum state. Sparring with Zhou Ping meant taking significant risks, especially since Zhou Ping was also a high-level Talisman Master. The most important task in battling him would be to figure out how to break his talismans, which wouldn’t significantly enhance Qi Tian’s combat experience.

Qi Tian didn’t want to waste his time and the magical power he had so painstakingly restored on Zhou Ping. Even if he could defeat Zhou Ping, it would surely exhaust him, and then he would have to face Pan and Ma Deru. He would have to resort to some of his ultimate moves. Rather than waste time on Zhou Ping, it was better from the start to take on all three at once and wipe them out.

As Zhou Ping was about to close in on him, a faint smile played on Qi Tian’s lips. He touched his Spirit Beast Bracelet, and following his summon, the Glazed Sand emerged from the bracelet and hovered above Qi Tian’s shoulder.

Pointing at Zhou Ping and then at Pan and Ma Deru, who were watching the spectacle from afar, Qi Tian said, “Take them down. Leave no survivors, and if possible, try to preserve the integrity of their belongings.”

Upon receiving Qi Tian’s command, the Glazed Sand sprang into action. As a Spirit Pet of Qi Tian, it was bound to execute Qi Tian’s orders without any reservation or discount.

The fine grains of sand swirling around him stirred into motion. The distance between Glazed Sand and Zhou Ping was now negligible. Under Glazed Sand’s control, several grains suddenly broke free from its sandy nimbus and shot out like bullets, targeting straight for Zhou Ping’s forehead.

The grains were as fast as lightning, leaving Zhou Ping no time to react.

Zhou Ping was quite fast and had promptly erected several protective barriers in front of himself after seeing the Glazed Sand appear on Qi Tian’s shoulder.

However, Zhou Ping was too confident. As he performed these actions, he didn’t slow down but maintained his original speed and continued hurtling toward Qi Tian.

Zhou Ping’s eyes glinted with a bloodthirsty light, eagerly anticipating the despair that would dawn upon Qi Tian’s face after his talismans had destroyed everything Qi Tian had. The sight of fear and despair on someone else’s face was Zhou Ping’s greatest delight.

But just as Zhou Ping reached what he considered the optimal striking distance, the grains of sand shot by the Glazed Sand reached him first.

Zhou Ping hardly regarded the grains of sand with much concern—the grains were not even as big as soybeans. What kind of attack power could they have? He reckoned that even if the grains piled up together, they wouldn’t have the might to break even one of his hastily erected protective barriers. As a skilled Talisman Master, he was confident in his defenses.

However, Zhou Ping quickly regretted his oversight. In the next moment, the sand grains collided with the protective barriers he had set up. The first grain, carrying extreme force, pierced through all of Zhou Ping’s barriers in the blink of an eye.

All these shields had not shattered, but atop each one was now a small hole, a hole pierced by the very first grain of yellow sand.

By this time, the strength carried by this grain of yellow sand had diminished considerably, yet it didn’t stop, continuing to surge forward in its original direction.

Zhou Ping still hadn’t reacted, but he was wearing armor of a quality above the Half-step Nascent Soul level. The array on the armor, sensing the danger Zhou Ping was in, activated on its own, forming a new protective layer between the yellow sand and Zhou Ping.

This protection provided by the layer was extremely robust, not something that could easily be penetrated.

At this point, Zhou Ping, experiencing the most dangerous attack of his life, found his back drenched in cold sweat. He couldn’t afford to attend to these shields and instead stretched his hand toward his Storage Bag. He intended to retrieve several jade talismans with powerful defensive capabilities from his Storage Bag to add several more layers of protection for himself.

However, just as Zhou Ping’s hand touched the Storage Bag, and he was about to command the talismans within to fly out with his mind, the first grain of yellow sand struck the defensive layer provided by his armor.

The first grain of yellow sand did not penetrate this layer, but it still made a very deep hole in the protection.

Zhou Ping broke out in a cold sweat. He swiftly locked onto the jade talismans in his Storage Bag, which he was about to take out, when the second grain of yellow sand, following closely behind the first, struck precisely at the hole left by the previous grain.

Then, in less than the blink of an eye, the hole was penetrated by the second grain of yellow sand. By then, the strength of the second grain had almost completely depleted, causing no direct harm to Zhou Ping. But hot on its heels came the third grain of yellow sand, with speed and force not inferior to the first two grains, driving straight into Zhou Ping’s forehead and burrowing into his head, exploding it instantly.

In an instant, Zhou Ping became a headless corpse, falling from the sky without even a chance to scream, crashing heavily to the ground.

Pan and Ma Deru were shocked and dismayed, unable to comprehend how, in less than a few seconds, Zhou Ping, whose strength they believed to be almost equal to their own, died in such a confused manner. They had watched clearly as the incredibly strong Zhou Ping was taken down by three grains of yellow sand. They wouldn’t have believed it had they not seen it with their own eyes, but now, they dared not hesitate a moment longer. They hastily utilized all their protective armor and Protection Talismans; only then did they feel a shred of safety.

The Colored Glass Sand, having killed Zhou Ping, did not feel its mission for Qi Tian was complete—it set its next targets on Pan and Ma Deru. The Colored Glass Sand noticed they had fortified themselves with extra defenses, but it didn’t care in the slightest. The yellow sand swirling around it began to spin rapidly, and in an instant, the Colored Glass Sand transformed into a miniature sandstorm.

Then the miniature sandstorm took off from Qi Tian’s shoulder, sweeping toward Pan and Ma Deru in the sky.

Pan and Ma Deru exchanged looks, unsure how to deal with the oncoming miniature sandstorm, but one thing was certain: it was decidedly not harmless. If touched by it, they feared their chances would be slim.

Now, two paths lay before them: one was to retreat and report everything they had seen and heard to Manager Chen, following his orders on what to do next. The other was to disregard the potential danger posed by the miniature sandstorm and continue to stay behind, carrying out Manager Chen’s orders to the end.
