Although a relatively unanimous decision had been reached, the princes did not dare to actually give the order to open the gate of the Saint’s Tomb. Before doing so, they had many preparatory tasks to accomplish.

First, they began to deploy personnel, starting the construction of a new array before the gate of the Saint’s Tomb and laying out new prohibitions. The array they initially set up around the tomb, if it had seemed sufficient at the beginning, now felt dangerously unreliable. Not to mention the potential encounter with beings at the Nascent Soul Stage after entering the Saint’s Tomb, the very thought that Manager Chen could attack them at any moment was enough to make a new array seem necessary.

Next, it was necessary to consult with Qi Tian. Emperor Jianwu had the other princes lead everyone in setting up the array, while he went to report to Qi Tian and seek his instructions, to see if Qi Tian agreed with their decision to open the tomb’s gate now.

Qi Tian was hastily recovering, and upon learning that Emperor Jianwu sought an audience with him, he had to temporarily stop his recovery process. After understanding the emperor’s intention, Qi Tian immediately nodded, indicating that once they were ready, they could open the gate of the Saint’s Tomb.

After Qi Tian had eradicated the ghostly face above the gate, he had used the sensing function of the Heavenly Dao Engine to scan the gate and the area behind it. He had clarified that there wasn’t anything too dangerous beyond the gate, and that Emperor Jianwu and his party should be able to hold on for quite some time. As for the further areas, Qi Tian could not afford to explore them.

Having received Qi Tian’s permission, Emperor Jianwu did not leave right away. He glanced around and saw that no one, including the other princes, was watching him, then he hastily used the technique of transmitting messages to whisper to Qi Tian, “Master Qi, there is something for which I must seek your forgiveness.”

Qi Tian was unaware of why Emperor Jianwu would need to transmit a message to him but assumed it must be something important. He asked, “What matter requires you to seek forgiveness in such a manner?”

Emperor Jianwu replied, “Just now, in my panic, I lost my composure and forgot a very important matter. After you destroyed the ghostly face, my anxious heart finally settled down, then I remembered.”

Qi Tian impatiently said, “Speak plainly, what’s the matter? Don’t beat around the bush. Can’t you see I am still very weak and eager to recover?”

Emperor Jianwu quickly sought forgiveness, “Master Qi, please don’t be anxious, I’m about to tell you. Just now, weren’t you about to order us to retreat together? As a result, the scouts we sent out found that Manager Chen had sealed our escape route, forcing you to stand up to the ghostly face on the tomb gate with us. At that time, including myself, we all thought that was the only choice we had, the only way out. But now, Master Qi, I must seek your forgiveness, for I’ve just remembered that actually, there is a second option we could have chosen.”

Qi Tian quickly asked, “What other option could we have chosen?”

Emperor Jianwu said, “The seclusion space, didn’t you find one and took it with you? If you can refine that space, then you can control our entry and exit from this small space. If you gather all of us into the space and then hide within it, unless someone outside possesses divine insight to detect the seclusion space, they wouldn’t be able to find us. This means, if we could hide in the small space indefinitely, Manager Chen and his people are very likely to never find us, which would mean they can’t pose a threat to us and we’d avoid any casualties. Wouldn’t this solve the dilemma of being caught between a rock and a hard place?”

Upon hearing this, Qi Tian opened his mouth but couldn’t say a word. With Emperor Jianwu’s reminder, he too recalled that such a simple solution had been in front of him. Yet, he had failed to think of it, choosing the most difficult solution instead. Heavens be pitied, he had succeeded, otherwise, it would’ve been like starving to death while holding a golden rice bowl.

Seeing Qi Tian’s expression, Emperor Jianwu also looked embarrassed as he said, “Master Qi, it was only just now that I remembered this solution and then rushed to seek your forgiveness. Please be magnanimous and don’t hold me to account for this later. As you know, with my frail body, I definitely wouldn’t survive if you cut me down with your flying sword.”

Qi Tian sighed and said, “What’s done is done, what use would punishing you be now? Now that you’ve told me about this method, it doesn’t entirely mean hindsight. Perhaps we could use this approach to ensure our safety while we explore the Saint’s Tomb.”

Emperor Jianwu breathed a sigh of relief and then said, “Master Qi, I advise that it’s best not to make use of this method. Even though a seclusion space can be used for hiding and eluding others’ searches, it’s not without a price, and the cost is significant. Each seclusion space has a limited number of movements. As far as I know, at most, it’s three to five times, and at the least, just once or twice. If your space can be moved only once, then its final position is sealed once you refine it. We could hide inside it, but once we exit, you wouldn’t be able to move it again; it would be abandoned there. Unless you are willing to live around the space forever, you should give it careful consideration before deciding to refine the seclusion space.”
