Chapter 1037: Chapter 0614: Tribulation Thunder Baptism_1 Chapter 1037: Chapter 0614: Tribulation Thunder Baptism_1 Chapter 0614: Tribulation Thunder Overwhelming

Emperor Chaoyang’s Treasure Pavilion covered an area of merely three to four hundred square meters, standing three stories tall. Emperor Chaoyang had restricted the puppet wolf to only move around the vicinity of the Treasure Pavilion, which meant that the puppet wolf’s range of movement was extremely limited. In a one-on-one situation, a few hundred square meters was sufficient for the puppet wolf, but Qi Tian had too many methods to deal with the puppet wolf, consequently making the puppet wolf’s space evidently insufficient.

Initially, there was only a Transporting Whirlwind trailing behind the puppet wolf, carrying the flying sword of a Nascent Soul Master, pursuing it relentlessly. The puppet wolf relied on the advantage of striking first, speeding up or slowing down, darting left or right, leaving the flying sword trailing in its wake to bite the dust. Under such circumstances, the flying sword stood no chance of catching up to the puppet wolf.

Qi Tian had already realized this situation and couldn’t let it continue indefinitely. He deliberately controlled several Transporting Whirlwinds to encompass the Tribulation Fire and Tribulation Wind.

Before the promotion of the Heavenly Dao Engine, the power of the Transporting Whirlwind was somewhat weak. Not a single Transporting Whirlwind, even if all of them were dispatched together, could control a single Tribulation Thunder or Tribulation Fire. But now, things were different. After the promotion of the Heavenly Dao Engine, the strength of each individual Transporting Whirlwind had dramatically increased. Although a single Transporting Whirlwind was still insufficient to control a single Tribulation Wind or a mass of Tribulation Fire, if several Transporting Whirlwinds acted together, they could control the Tribulation Wind or Tribulation Fire and make them move in accordance with Qi Tian’s wishes.

Under Qi Tian’s manipulation, the Tribulation Fire and Tribulation Wind, seized by the Transporting Whirlwinds, were forced to change their direction of advance. According to Qi Tian’s intention, they split left and right, directing their assault towards the puppet wolf.

The puppet wolf had a flying sword pursuing it from behind and the Tribulation Wind and Tribulation Fire encroaching from the front, surrounding it from all sides, instantly trapped in a hopeless situation with no escape to heaven or entry into the earth. The puppet wolf, extremely unwilling to surrender, opened its wide jaws, and a force rapidly condensed within its maw before being expelled out. The puppet wolf hoped to use this method to carve out a path forward.

How could Qi Tian let the puppet wolf get its way? Under his control, more Tribulation Wind and Tribulation Fire had their directions forcibly changed, attacking the puppet wolf in a concentrated barrage.

The individual strength of the puppet wolf was formidable, but it could only launch an attack one at a time, and each attack required a considerable amount of time to gather strength before releasing it.

Thus, the force expelled by the puppet wolf was quickly nullified by a Tribulation Wind, and soon after, more Tribulation Fire and Tribulation Wind converged, rapidly engulfing the puppet wolf.

The physical form of the puppet wolf could only withstand an attack of Half-step Nascent Soul level, and each of these Tribulation Wind and Tribulation Fire possessed the ultimate power of that level. When they came together and launched an attack simultaneously, the puppet wolf quickly became overwhelmed. In a blink of an eye, it was blasted into pieces by the Tribulation Fire, and the Tribulation Wind took the opportunity to shred the remnants of the puppet wolf even further.

The Transporting Whirlwinds fulfilled their mission of controlling the Tribulation Wind and Tribulation Fire. They then scooped up the remains of the puppet wolf and returned to Qi Tian’s side before delivering all the remains into the storage chamber of the Heavenly Dao Engine.

The entire process lasted a very short time, from beginning to end, not even ten seconds passed.

During this time, the Transporting Whirlwinds that Qi Tian had initially released had already tightly entangled the Tribulation Demon. Regardless of the Tribulation Demon’s roars and struggles, they dragged it mercilessly into the Heavenly Dao Engine’s storage chamber. In an instant, the Divine Sense of the Tribulation Demon was completely erased by the Heavenly Dao Engine, leaving only a pure and mighty energy, waiting for the Heavenly Dao Engine to absorb.

After finishing with the Tribulation Wind and Tribulation Fire, there was still some left over. Qi Tian had no use for keeping them, so he manipulated the Transporting Whirlwinds to change their direction and let them fall upon several palaces within the Chaoyang Palace. Without exception, all these palaces were reduced to ruins.

Qi Tian looked up for quite some time, but the Tribulation Clouds had not yet dispersed, and the ninth wave of Heavenly Tribulation was not yet over. By rights, nine Tribulation Thunders should have descended by now, but they were delayed in their arrival. Qi Tian could clearly feel that the pressure suffusing his body not only hadn’t dissipated but was growing stronger, signaling to Qi Tian a fact: the Heavenly Tribulation was brewing a powerful move.

Qi Tian swiftly grasped the flying sword in his hands, channeling his mana into the flying sword with all his might while controlling all the Transporting Whirlwinds to act together, entwining around the Treasure Pavilion in front of his eyes. Qi Tian hoped to uproot the entire Treasure Pavilion before the appearance of the Tribulation Thunder, then collect it. Despite its size, Qi Tian was confident he could store the pavilion in the storage chamber of the Heavenly Dao Engine. This sort of feat was something Qi Tian had done before with the nest of the Locust Thief Bees, which, although not as large as the Treasure Pavilion, wasn’t much smaller, yet had remained in the Heavenly Dao Engine’s storage chamber for many years.

The number of Transporting Whirlwinds now was quite considerable, reaching over a dozen. Some twisted around the pavilion’s pillars, some around the eaves of the Treasure Pavilion. Under Qi Tian’s command, they all exerted their force together, attempting to uproot the Treasure Pavilion. Despite their efforts, the Treasure Pavilion stood firm as if its roots were entrenched deep in the ground, unmovable.
