Chapter 1000 - 1000 0595 Fulfilling the Promise_2

Chapter 1000: Chapter 0595: Fulfilling the Promise_2 Chapter 1000: Chapter 0595: Fulfilling the Promise_2 Qi Tian exerted much effort, and only with great difficulty did he manage to cleanse a small segment of Emperor Wu’s meridians of the poison. Qi Tian realized that this method was extremely inefficient, not only it was a waste of time, but it also took a toll on him. If he were to continue at this pace, it might take three to five months to bring the level of poison in Emperor Wu’s meridians under control.

The timeframe was simply too long. Qi Tian didn’t have so much time to waste, and to put it bluntly, although Emperor Wu had become his Immortal Slave, he couldn’t be like Gao Jinmei or Zhao Haiying, who followed him around all the time. Emperor Wu was the sort of Immortal Slave who was useful only for a short period; after which, when Qi Tian agreed to leave Emperor Wu and the Imperial Family Secret Territory, Emperor Wu would be of no use to him. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, it really wasn’t necessary for him to spend so much time on Emperor Wu, nor was it necessary to help Emperor Wu secure the opportunity to advance to Half-step Nascent Soul or even the Nascent Soul Stage.

Qi Tian soon decided that he needed to improve his efficiency, and the method to achieve this was extremely simple and straightforward.

Qi Tian said to Emperor Wu, “Prince, as you can see, the efficiency is just too low. I don’t think you’d like to be immobilized for several months, so I plan to switch to a different method. This method might be somewhat unpleasant for you in the short term, but the discomfort is relative, and afterward, you can recover.”

Emperor Wu asked, “What method? Will it harm my foundation?”

Qi Tian replied, “It’s very simple. The toxins in your meridians have already mixed with your True Essence, just like sesame seeds mixed into rice porridge. Trying to pick out the seeds one by one is certainly very troublesome. But we could approach it from another angle. Why pick out the sesame seeds one by one? We could just discard the rice porridge along with the sesame seeds. For you, this means drawing out both the toxins and the True Essence from your meridians, leaving them dry, devoid of any True Essence, but also free of toxins.”

Emperor Wu was momentarily incredulous; he had never thought of such a method. If it were viable, he would have used it long ago. He had many ways to force out True Essence from his meridians, but each time he did so, he would only expel True Essence, not a speck of poison—those toxins had taken root in his meridians, making it impossible for them to flow out with the True Essence.

Emperor Wu was tempted to reject Qi Tian’s idea; he didn’t believe it would work at all. However, he found himself unable to utter a refusal. The reason was simple: Qi Tian had implanted a Servant Pact in him; he was essentially Qi Tian’s Immortal Slave, and had no right to refuse, even though he always referred to himself as “I” and tried to behave as if he were superior to Qi Tian. But these were mere pretenses, and once it came to the substance of the issue, the Servant Pact would take effect, preventing him from defying any orders issued by Qi Tian.

Qi Tian was not polite with Emperor Wu. The reason he had planted the Servant Pact inside Emperor Wu and continued to maintain verbal respect and seeming negotiation was out of habit, and to prevent exposing the true nature of their master-servant relationship before others. This did not mean he harbored any genuine respect for Emperor Wu in his heart.

Grasping Emperor Wu’s hand, Transporting Whirlwind was deployed once more, entering his meridians again. This time, Transporting Whirlwind was not as cautious as before, avoiding Emperor Wu’s True Essence and only targeting the poison. Instead, it indiscreetly removed everything filled with Spirit Force from Emperor Wu’s meridians.

Doing so, the efficiency increased manifold. In just a few short minutes, that meridian was completely cleansed by Transporting Whirlwind. Everything that had previously filled the meridian disappeared without a trace, and then Qi Tian directed Transporting Whirlwind into another of Emperor Wu’s meridians to start the cleansing process there. The efficiency was equally tremendous, and it took only a few minutes to clean that meridian as well.

Having cleared one meridian, Qi Tian continuously moved on to clean another without rest, utilising the time efficiently. In just about half a day, he had cleared most of Emperor Jianwu’s meridians. The remaining sections that were not tended to were those where the poison had seeped deep, melding thoroughly with the meridians.

To cleanse these areas, with the means Qi Tian currently possessed, there was only one way: to let the Transporting Whirlwind consume both these meridians and the True Essence poison within them. However, this would result in significant damage to Emperor Jianwu’s meridians and cause him great harm. Therefore, Qi Tian had no intention of dealing with these few meridians from the beginning.

Even without the cleansing of these few meridians, the impact on Emperor Jianwu was not significant. After all, most of Emperor Jianwu’s meridians had been cleared. With these restored meridians, his future cultivation would not exactly be smooth sailing, yet it would certainly be much more trouble-free than before. Reaching the Gold Core Realm Late Stage would not pose any problem, and with that, Emperor Jianwu’s strength would be restored. His lifespan would also be extended to some degree, living an additional twenty to thirty years should be no problem.

Qi Tian withdrew the Transporting Whirlwind from Emperor Jianwu’s meridians and promptly sealed the wound on his wrist. Then he said, “Prince, your meridians have been cleared, and you should be able to move now. However, your True Essence is almost entirely depleted due to my cleansing. It’s best if you cultivate to restore your True Essence before anything else.”

Emperor Jianwu hurriedly released his Divine Sense that had been shrunk within his sea of consciousness, sweeping through his body in an instant. Silently sensing, he found that indeed, as Qi Tian had said, the True Essence in his meridians had almost entirely vanished, leaving next to nothing. Meanwhile, a large part of the poison in his meridians had been removed. The long-standing problem that had hindered his cultivation was largely resolved; the remaining poison was not in large quantities. Although it would still have some impact, the problem was no longer significant.

Emperor Jianwu was overjoyed beyond expectation. He had held little hope for the method Qi Tian proposed. He truly hadn’t expected that Qi Tian could achieve such a feat, that he could clear a majority of the poison from his meridians in such a short span of time. This method was unheard of, unseen, and could be called a divine skill.

Emperor Jianwu hurriedly expressed his gratitude to Qi Tian, “Qi Tian, thank you for helping me remove such a great hidden danger. I don’t know how to thank you properly.”

Qi Tian smiled and said, “Prince, now that your meridians are largely restored, I think continuing your cultivation and making a breakthrough in your realm should not be a big problem. You should be able to leave this confined space.”

Emperor Jianwu nodded repeatedly, feeling that he now indeed had the possibility of stepping out of this confined space.

Qi Tian added, “You should focus on cultivating now and restore your True Essence first. I can wait for you here.”

Emperor Jianwu promptly said, “Then I won’t delay.”
