Heaven-Defying Rebel Sage
Chapter 321 - 303: Refining the Great Slaughter War Spear

Chapter 321: Chapter 303: Refining the Great Slaughter War Spear

Time passes differently when in deep meditation; Xuan Ming sat in seclusion for a full one hundred and eighty years!

In those one hundred and eighty years, Xuan Ming finally condensed her Primordial Spirit Thoughts. The king of these thoughts transformed into a Nine-Layered Pagoda, symbolizing the ultimate in Taoist Magic, and then was surrounded and guarded by the rest of the Primordial Spirit Thoughts, placed at the very center.

This king of thoughts was crystal clear, with the power of Yin Yang Divine Light circulating within it, the force of the Six Paths of Reincarnation bursting forth, and the aura of Slaughter Profound Ice True Qi permeating around; it was extremely terrifying and could be used as a Magical Treasure to Suppress everything!

During these one hundred and eighty years, Wukong also reaped some benefits, extracting strands of the Power of Creation from the Creation Jade Butterfly, which he then swallowed and refined using the Grand Yin Yang Technique, the Great Reincarnation Technique, and the Great Creation Technique. He activated these three Dao Techniques one by one.

"Good, very good! I’ve absorbed at least ten strands of this Power of Creation, and my Mana has greatly increased. Now, I can reach the level of the Immortal Yang Mei, who can pierce through endless light-years with a single glance and injure a Primordial Golden Immortal!" Wukong was overjoyed. This Power of Creation was truly formidable; absorbing just over a dozen strands had already made him this powerful.

In total, it was eighteen strands, refining one every ten years.

Xuan Ming suddenly opened her eyes, and the strange phenomena around her shattered with cracks and pops. She stood up, rising like Mount Tai, piercing the skies! A profound aura spread out, accompanied by an infinite chill. The Great Dao roared, and the Heavenly Dao trembled.

"Excellent! I have finally become a Great Dao Sage! I shall use the Great Creation Technique to conceal the Great Dao Principles. Be it the calamities of Yuan or those four Demon Gods, I must make them suffer a great loss!" Wukong laughed out loud, hugging Xuan Ming’s waist and twirling her around in his arms.

After being put down, Xuan Ming’s cheeks were slightly red. She tidied her hair and asked, "Where is that strand of turbid Qi I refined?"

Wukong flipped his palm and held the turbid Qi in his hand, saying, "Wait a moment, I’ll help you refine it into a War Spear!"

This strip of turbid Qi weighed billions of pounds; Pangu was truly a peak being who tried to prove the Dao with strength, a single strip of turbid Qi weighed so much.

"Whoosh!"

"Inhale!"

With a deep breath, Wukong’s inhalation generated infinite Yin Yang energies, the Law of Reincarnation began to spin, and the Power of Creation surged tumultuously. "I’ll forge this turbid Qi into a War Spear, then infuse it with the Power of Creation, forcefully elevating it to the level of a Great Dao Divine Artifact! With that, you will be invincible among the Great Dao Sages."

Great Dao Divine Artifacts are treasures difficult to come by. After Splitting Heaven and Earth, even the Pangu Axe broke, transforming into the Innate Magical Treasures like the Slaying Immortal Four Swords, the Pangu Banner, the Eastern Emperor Bell, and the Profound Yellow Exquisite Pagoda, among others.

The physical body of Pangu came infinitely close to that of a Great Dao Sage, but unfortunately, proving the Dao through strength proved to be a difficult path to tread, ultimately leading to his vitality draining away, damaging his physical body, resulting in failure. Even the Great Dao Divine Artifact, the Pangu Axe, shattered along with him. A Heavenly Dao Saint must not use a Great Dao Divine Artifact; otherwise, they risk backlash from the Great Dao, and Pangu was a case in point.

This Great Dao Divine Artifact was nurtured by the Chaotic Green Lotus, born together with Pangu, thus named the Pangu Axe, not created by Pangu himself.

"Go find the Taoist Patriarch Hong Jun and borrow his Qiankun Cauldron. Only by refining with Yin Yang True Fire can we forge a Great Dao Divine Artifact," said Wukong.

"Yes, very good! Then let us go now. Once the Great Dao Divine Artifact is refined, we won’t have to fear that troublesome Immortal Yang Mei anymore," Xuan Ming spoke indifferently. Even as a Great Dao Sage, her demeanor remained as calm and undisturbed as still water.

"Haha, HAHAHA! You should really thank that ignorant Quan Zhilong for completing your Great Dao Sage destiny," Wukong said.

"It’s only because he was blind to the situation, so arrogant and deluded as to seek possession. He truly courted death! He deserved the torment of the Eighteen Levels of Hell," Xuan Ming said slowly, "A Great Dao Sage with such a mindset, I have no idea how he cultivated to that level. Truly a foolish pig."

Wukong responded, "All the better for us. If he hadn’t been foolish, how would you have had the chance to achieve the status of a Great Dao Sage?"

Shortly after, the two of them found Hong Jun, who was acting as a protector for Yuan Shi, the Supreme, and Fuxi. After one hundred and eighty years, so many of the Great Dao Principles hadn’t yet been absorbed; there were still many left! Xuan Ming had already finished absorbing them since she was a peak Heavenly Dao Saint already probing the path to becoming a Great Dao Sage and had Wukong’s protection, which naturally made her progress swift.

"Taoist Patriarch, I’d like to borrow your Qiankun Cauldron to refine a Magical Treasure," Wukong requested.

This Qiankun Cauldron was an extremely formidable Creation Divine Artifact. In the previous Age of Creation, Nuwa had used it to forge Sky-mending Stones, and Hong Jun had forged the Mountain and Rivers Sheji Map from it.

"Take it." With a wave of his great sleeve, Hong Jun sent the Qiankun Cauldron flying towards Wukong, who caught it with one hand.

Wukong nodded and said, "Good! Xuan Ming, let’s head into Chaos to forge this Great Dao Divine Artifact. Chaos embodies the very form of the Dao, representing Primordial beginnings. From there comes life and Yin Yang, merging into all things. With the Chaos as the backdrop, the Yin Yang True Fire will unleash its full power."

Hong Jun warned, "Be careful while you are in Chaos, lest you run into that Yang Mei and face danger to your lives."

Wukong replied, "No worries. Now, my power is not below Yang Mei’s, and if we encounter each other, it’s uncertain who will win or lose!"

Wukong used the Great Reincarnation Technique to shroud Xuan Ming, entirely concealing the aura of a Great Dao Sage, making it appear to be just the presence of an ordinary Heavenly Dao Saint. Over these past 180 years, Wukong had thoroughly mastered three Dao Techniques: the Great Reincarnation Technique, the Grand Yin Yang Technique, and the Great Creation Technique, to such a degree that they could deceive the scrutiny of the Great Dao Principles. But he could only conceal one person with this method; it would be impossible to deceive the entire Posa Greater World.

"Hmm, I’ll follow your lead," Xuan Ming said.

Wukong withdrew the Heavenly Dao laws and then flew out of the Posa Greater World with Xuan Ming. In an instant, they were engulfed by the boundless Chaos Qi.

"Let’s move a little farther away. If we truly encounter something and start a fight, I’m afraid we might shatter the Posa Greater World," Xuan Ming expressed with meticulous consideration.

Wukong had concealed his Great Dao aura, appearing merely as a Heavenly Dao Saint. This was to deceive the Great Dao Principles, to prevent them from creating one or two Great Dao Demon Gods during the onset of Yuan’s Calamity, as that would be somewhat troublesome. Although Wukong was now incredibly capable, the Great Dao was unpredictable, and who knew if it would also enhance the combat power of the four demon gods!

The two of them used Escape Techniques and flew for a million light-years before stopping. Then they sat cross-legged amidst the Chaos, beginning their artifact forging.

"Qiankun Cauldron, unify heaven and earth, Suppress the four directions!" Wukong called up the Qiankun Cauldron, activating the Power of Creation within himself, which significantly enhanced the cauldron’s power, suppressing all regions and realms.

"Pangu’s Turbid Qi, proving the Dao with strength! Slaughter Profound Ice, annihilating all existence!" Xuan Ming also executed a spell, summoning forth the Slaughter Profound Ice True Qi.

Wukong held Supreme Yin in his left hand and Supreme Yang in his right, employing the Grand Yin Yang Technique. He unleashed bursts of Great Yin Yang True Fire, feeding it directly into the Qiankun Cauldron. Then he grasped a strand of Pangu’s Turbid Qi and sent it into the cauldron as well, after Xuan Ming had already melted the Slaughter Profound Ice True Qi into it.

As the Ancestral Witch Xuan Ming, she reigned over Slaughter!

After achieving the Dao, she felt the Slaughter Qi within her body seemingly stirring, as if it wanted to condense into a massive talisman, yet it always fell one step short! Suddenly, she had an epiphany. This must be a "great" Dao Technique, likely the Great Slaughter Technique!

The Great Slaughter Technique was incredibly brutal. A single thought of slaughter could lead to the silence of all living beings and the ruin of all things. Beneath its slaughter, no creature would remain.

"Good, having assimilated such a potent Slaughter Qi, we can forge it into a Great Slaughter War Spear!" Wukong exclaimed with great joy. Xuan Ming then spat out a light halo, which was the Mountain and Rivers Sheji Map that Wukong had refined for her.

Wukong grabbed it, shattered it into pieces with a squeeze, and the fragments fell into the Qiankun Cauldron, where they were forged with the Yin Yang True Fire and merged with the Pangu’s Turbid Qi.

"Great Revolution Seal, sickle and axe, sickle and hammer!" With a thought from Wukong, the axe transformed into a hammer.

The hammer and axe are actually two sides of the same coin. When Wukong had forged the Great Revolution Seal, he had considered this, but felt that since Pangu used an axe to Split Heaven and Earth, and the working masses lived by the axe, he decided on the axe shape.

Now that he was forging the Great Slaughter War Spear, naturally a hammer was required, and so he turned the axe into a hammer.

The hammer too was a symbol of the proletariat, representing the working masses, and under the activation of the Great Dao laws, it could freely transform between the two shapes.

"A sky of blue and white by day, red soil beneath, the banner of blue and white in the great sky!" Wukong breathed out a vast blue and white banner, suppressing the eight desolations.

This blue and white banner was conceived during the great battle of Yuan’s Calamity, when all beings responded to the calamity, uniting as one with resolute wills, their thoughts piercing the heavens. Wukong felt this banner was more formidable than combining the five directional banners, dense in sentiment and embodying the will of the living beings, heavy with significance.

"Blue sky and white sun, protect our homeland; sickle and hammer, forge the divine artifact! Upon the artifact’s completion, slay demon gods; souls of ancestors, aid me in refinement." With a soft call from Wukong, the blue and white banner fluttered in the wind, and ancestral souls manifested within it, representing the collective will of all beings.

"Boom!"

All were infused into the Qiankun Cauldron. At that moment, the cauldron vibrated continuously as the hammer fiercely hammered the several-billion-pound Turbid Qi.

"Clang clang clang! Clank clank clank!"

The sound of forging spread far and wide, as if pervading the entire Chaotic World. Fortunately, the Chaotic World was boundless, and not even the Creation Supreme could find its limits. Also, the Chaotic Aura permeated destructive power, hence the Chaotic World was a realm forsaken by Creation.

Such tremendous forging sounds, how many tens of thousands of light-years might they travel? But as Wukong swept his Divine Sense, he found that within these tens of thousands of light-years there was nothing but Chaos, and so he let go of concern and continued his work.

Time drifted away day by day. Forging a Great Dao Divine Artifact was no small matter, even for a Great Dao Sage who must be cautious, and the process was exhausting, with Mana from the Primordial Spirit depleting severely.
