However, because he had vowed not to leave Hell empty and not return to the Western Heavenly Buddha Land to become a Buddha Ancestor, he had not yet become a fully realized Buddha. Ksitigarbha King nodded slightly and said, "The Five Elements Buddha is too polite."

Upon becoming a Buddha, Kong Xuan named himself after the Five Elements because he was adept at using the Five-Colored Divine Light, which was refined from the Innate Five Elements Spirit Root. Hence, he was called the Five Elements Buddha.

Kong Xuan asked Ksitigarbha King, "Ksitigarbha King Bodhisattva has realized the Buddhist Dao, why not become a Buddha?"

Ksitigarbha King laughed and said, "Even if I became a Buddha now, what use would it be? The Western Heavenly Buddha Land is still occupied by a group of false Buddhas. After Victorious Fighting Buddha leads us to ascend to Western Heaven and eliminate the false Buddhists, it will not be too late to become a Buddha. Becoming a Buddha now would be meaningless."

Kong Xuan nodded and said, "Bodhisattva’s words make sense."

Kong Xuan achieved sudden enlightenment and became a Buddha on the spot, unlike Ksitigarbha King, who had long harbored the heart of a Buddha and had plans in place. When he became a Buddha, he couldn’t control it himself.

Victorious Fighting Buddha said, "Before long, we will ascend to Spiritual Mount, and the day Ksitigarbha King Bodhisattva becomes a Buddha is not far off."

Ksitigarbha King smiled and said, "Amitabha Buddha, compassionate."

After Ksitigarbha King, Victorious Fighting Buddha gained another follower, the former Peacock Great Bright King Bodhisattva, now the Five Elements Buddha, Kong Xuan! "Allowing this monkey to take the Eastern Emperor Bell has inevitably led to a disaster. Although supported by Nether River Patriarch, it still feels somewhat risky." Initially, with the assistance of Nether River Patriarch, the protector thought killing Wukong would be easy, but having seen Wukong’s combat ability and the power of the Eastern Emperor Bell, he had to reconsider. It seemed not so easy to kill Wukong after all.

The protector returned to the Mahavira Hall, where a novice monk greeted him and said, "Disciple pays respect to the protector."

The protector asked the novice monk, "Where are the Buddha Ancestors?"

The novice monk replied, "The Buddha Ancestors have gone to the Glazed Light World of Medicine Buddha to discuss important matters."

The protector’s mind stirred. Hearing that Tathagata was recently refining the Turning Wheel Sage King Great Seal, and now in the domain of Medicine Buddha, he feared it was to forge the seal. He had long heard of the renowned name of Turning Wheel Sage King Great Seal and wondered about its power. He decided to go there and see for himself. Without another word to the novice monk, he immediately used an escape technique, heading towards the eastern Glazed Light World.

No sooner had he arrived at the outskirts of the Glazed Light World than someone noticed him. A great seal came crashing down directly.

The protector felt as if the seal were overturning Heaven and Earth itself, unable to move, he shouted, "I am the protector of mosquitoes!"

The Great Seal suddenly stopped, and just then, Tathagata and the others walked out from within the Glazed Pure Light World, their hands joined in prayer, "It turns out to be Protector Mosquito arriving; we didn’t report beforehand. We thought it was a demon from the Demon Tribe committing evil here, and we have offended greatly."

Protector Mosquito repeatedly said, "It’s fine, no harm." Then he turned his eyes to the Great Seal hanging in the air, only to see that the Great Seal was engraved with a Wrathful Vajra. This person resembling the Wrathful Vajra must be the Turning Wheel Sage King, surrounded by four Dharma Wheels, extremely formidable, "This must be the Turning Wheel Sage King Great Seal, right?"

Tathagata nodded and said, "Protector Mosquito is indeed perceptive. This is the Turning Wheel Sage King Great Seal, forged jointly by our various Buddhas. It gathers the Eight Treasures Merit accumulated by our Buddhist Sect over tens of thousands of years, as well as the essence of our lifelong profound understandings of Buddhist enigmas. This Great Seal is by no means something that Sun Wukong’s Great Revolution Seal could withstand."

Protector Mosquito was sweating profusely and asked, "What about the Eastern Emperor Bell then?"

Tathagata’s expression changed slightly and said, "If it’s the Eastern Emperor Bell, then there would indeed be a fight. However, the Eastern Emperor Bell is an Innate Supreme Treasure and extremely difficult to control. It’s not easy to refine it either. Only when one reaches the Heavenly Dao Saint Realm, can one use this Magical Treasure smoothly and completely harness its power. If we encounter the Eastern Emperor Bell, we can indeed fight. After all, our Turning Wheel Sage King Great Seal can now exert its greatest power, while the Eastern Emperor Bell, sealed away for tens of thousands of years, is not so easy to wield with full power."

After listening, Protector Mosquito felt slightly reassured.

Tathagata seemed puzzled, calculated with his fingers, and his face drastically changed as he said, "Did Sun Wukong end up possessing the Eastern Emperor Bell in his hands?"

Protector Mosquito sighed and said, "Exactly, today on a whim, I calculated and foresaw that the Demon Tribe intended to take the Eastern Emperor Bell. Thinking secretly, I couldn’t let this demon monkey take away the Eastern Emperor Bell. Thus, I headed towards Mount Buzhou. At that moment, Peacock Great Bright King Bodhisattva came looking for me, and seeing me leave, he followed along. When we arrived at Mount Buzhou, that monkey tricked me leading to my defeat. Peacock Great Bright King Bodhisattva intervened to help me escape, but it appears he was captured by a combination of forces from the Demon Tribe."

Protector Mosquito made his explanation sound good, suggesting that it was not due to his own incompetence but rather Wukong’s trickery that led to his defeat; the fault was not his.

After hearing this, Tathagata could not help but stamp his foot and said, "Alas! Protector Mosquito, you were careless. That monkey is no ordinary being; how could you so rashly go and intervene? Now our Buddhist Sect’s power is much weaker than before, and now we’ve also lost a Peacock Great Bright King Bodhisattva, truly adding frost to the snow. I was thinking that with this Turning Wheel Sage King Great Seal in hand, if that monkey attacked, and with Nether River aiding us, we would naturally capture him effortlessly. Yet, he managed to take the Eastern Emperor Bell! If Protector Mosquito had discussed his intentions with me beforehand, we wouldn’t have feared his acquiring the Eastern Emperor Bell."

Protector Mosquito cursed inwardly, "Damn it all, I went into retreat to absorb the Eight Treasures Merit. You were then refining the Great Seal, I looked towards the Mahavira Hall and saw no one; my heart was extremely anxious, unable to delay, I just left directly. And now you blame me."

Tathagata sighed and said, "Protector Mosquito, don’t be angry, I was just momentarily agitated."

Protector Mosquito’s expression eased slightly.

Medicine Buddha also had a grave expression, saying, "This monkey is quite formidable, managing to take the Eastern Emperor Bell, showing his skills. This battle between Buddhists and demons might turn even more dangerous. Although we have the aid of the Nether River Patriarch, we still need to be cautious."

Protector Mosquito, recalling the power of the Eastern Emperor Bell, couldn’t help feeling secretly alarmed, and said, "That Eastern Emperor Bell is truly formidable. The sound of the bell alone causes disarray in one’s Three Flowers and Five Qi, and the Primordial Spirit to feel drowsy. If it were not for Kong Xuan’s timely intervention, I might also have suffered severely under the Eastern Emperor Bell!"

Birupaksa had a cold expression and said, "The Eastern Emperor Bell was formerly the Magical Treasure of the Demon Emperor Taiyi. He obtained this Magical Treasure, cultivated the secret rune methods on it, and attained the Primordial Dao Fruit. With such a Magical Treasure, even the Three Pure Ones could not singly match him. Only after the Twelve Ancestral Witches formed a great formation and severely injured him, with Zhun Ti Buddha Ancestor and Amitabha Buddha jointly intervening, did he possibly die." She looked around at everyone, "However, it’s good that Sun Wukong won’t easily attain the Primordial Dao Fruit. His grand aspiration is unfulfilled, preventing him from becoming a Saint. In normal circumstances, he would certainly seize this chance to retreat and comprehend the mysteries of the Eastern Emperor Bell to achieve the Heavenly Dao Saint Realm. If he just became a saint, he could disregard the dictum that a saint must not strike, and eliminate us, claiming ignorance afterwards. By then, even Hong Jun Taoist Patriarch might have nothing to say."

The crowd couldn’t help being secretly alarmed. If someone with talents like Eastern Emperor Taiyi obtained the Eastern Emperor Bell, they would surely retreat to comprehend the Heavenly Dao Saint Realm, as Birupaksa suggested, representing a true calamity. And Wukong, bound by his grand aspiration, must fulfill it before becoming a saint.

Protector Mosquito nodded and said, "What Birupaksa Bodhisattva said is indeed so. Now, our urgent priority is to refine this Great Seal well; otherwise, we won’t be able to cope with that Eastern Emperor Bell. When the time comes, we will suffer a lot. With the profound power of the Nether River Patriarch and the support from a group of experts from the Asura Blood Sea, we need not fear him."

In truth, as Birupaksa had mentioned, Hong Jun indeed had such plans. If Wukong became a saint first and annihilated the Buddhist Sect, he would naturally watch on passively, feigning ignorance, then later issue a decree to rebuke Wukong.
