Could it be that his position as the ruler of ten thousand heavens was not secure anymore? The Jade Emperor’s hand trembled as he clenched a cup until it turned to dust.

"Your Majesty, I have just visited Laozi," the Queen Mother said somberly as she sought the Jade Emperor.

"What did he say?" asked the Jade Emperor.

"Laozi said that the calamity of Yuan is imminent. The conflicts between heaven and earth are escalating. It’s a pity for the people who die. It would be better to ascend to the Deification Platform to preserve some combat strength. He said that he doesn’t mean to trouble us and won’t involve those ascending to the platform in any conflicts of the Earth Immortal Realm. He said we must comply with the Heavenly Dao," the Queen Mother reported.

She had sacrificed seven or eight nine-thousand-year peaches in order to obtain this information from Laozi, but she was not too upset about it, given her substantial wealth and influence.

"Comply with the Heavenly Dao, huh? How many Daluo Golden Immortals and Taiyi Golden Immortals can we create in a thousand years?" the Jade Emperor murmured to himself.

After pondering deeply, the Queen Mother said, "If we invest all our resources, we can create three hundred Daluo and a thousand Taiyi."

The Jade Emperor’s face darkened as he said, "Then let us not hold back. Now that the Deification Platform has been established, those saints must have schemed something anew! Invest fully, spare no expense to attract masters within the Heavenly Court, and use our resources to create even more Daluo Golden Immortals and Taiyi Golden Immortals!"

The Jade Emperor planned to use rare treasures of heaven and earth to create a host of Golden Immortals! Although, the strength of these hastily created Golden Immortals was not very remarkable.

He knew that in the Western Heaven, there were three thousand Buddhas, countless Bodhisattvas, eight hundred Arhats, and so forth. The number of Daluo Golden Immortals was probably no less than a thousand, and that of Taiyi Golden Immortals might even count in the tens of thousands! If the Heavenly Court did not act now, it might be too late. There were still eight thousand years until the calamity of Yuan. To create so many Golden Immortals in a thousand years was not too shabby; there were still seven thousand years to accumulate even more Golden Immortals, by then, they would have some power to contend with.

"I will handle it," said the Queen Mother as she nodded her head.

The Jade Emperor sighed heavily and said no more.

Once the Deification Platform was raised, all the different powers started to move, and even the silent and stagnant Northern Region’s Demon Abyss stirred.

"Six-Eared," Luo Hou said coldly, seated atop the Twelve-Rank World-Ending Black Lotus.

"Your disciple is here," the Six-Eared Macaque quickly prostrated in front of the Ancestral Demon.

"Black Wind," Luo Hou called again.

The Black Bear Demon also hurriedly prostrated in front of Luo Hou, and the tightening bands on their heads were surprisingly removed!

This was not because Luo Hou’s magical power was greater than Laozi’s, but because Luo Hou was the type who feared neither heaven nor earth. You should conform to the inevitable fate, resolve this karma, go to Water Curtain Cave to find Wukong, and together take Guanyin’s life."

Luo Hou had no specific enmity against Xuan Ming, and dared not secretly harm Wukong, for fear that Xuan Ming would discover it and cause a colossal fight! The thought of being able to kill that despicable Guanyin made the Six-Eared Macaque and the Black Bear Demon’s blood boil with excitement.

However, Guanyin’s mana is inferior compared to Tathagata, and she was once a disciple of Lord of Primordial Beginning, having defied him by leaving the Jade Void Palace to join Buddhism. Lord of Primordial Beginning seemed indifferent, but in reality, he was quite dissatisfied with these defectors. Hence, using the Seven-Arrow Book with Fixed Tips, Guanyin had severed her own life energy. Lord of Primordial Beginning and Luo Hou secretly reached an understanding to have Six-Eared Macaque, Black Bear Spirit, and Sun Wukong join forces to assassinate Guanyin, resolving the karma.

The tacit understanding among the saints did not need to be spoken aloud, but rather, it unfolded step by step within their calculations. Establishing the Deification Platform thus meant that Guanyin was doomed to die. Luo Hou seized this opportunity to curate favor under fortuitous circumstances and sent Six-Eared and the Black Wind to invite Wukong to join in the assassination.

It seems with the emergence of the Divine Platform, quite a few people will inevitably have to resolve their karma, forced to face their tribulations, and this corner of Heaven and Earth will become even more chaotic; a great battle is about to commence.

Having said this, Luo Hou took out a black Sarira and passed it to the Six-Eared Macaque.

Luo Hou said, "This is a Sarira left behind by the Many Treasures Taoist during his Nirvana transformation into Buddha Tathagata, tainted by karmic force and turned into sin, dropping into the Demon Abyss of the Northern Region, and obtained by me. I have refined it into a magical treasure. You may take this and sacrifice it at the foot of Mount Putuo, ensuring that even if you kill Guanyin, no one will notice."

The Six-Eared Macaque bowed in gratitude, "Thank you, Ancestral Demon!"

The Black Bear Spirit also bowed, "Thank you, Ancestral Demon!"

Luo Hou then said, "You may go now."

The Six-Eared Macaque and Black Bear Spirit then left the great hall of the Ancestral Demon, discussing how to go to Water Curtain Cave to find Sun Wukong, and then join together to kill Guanyin.

The King of Monkey Spirits had been waiting outside for a long time, and when he saw the Six-Eared Macaque emerge, he said, "You finally came out!"

The Six-Eared Macaque smiled and said, "Sorry to have kept you waiting."

The King of Monkey Spirits asked, "What did the Ancestral Demon summon you for?"

The Six-Eared Macaque replied, "He sent me to find Sun Wukong, and then together we are to kill Guanyin. Guanyin’s life energy has ended, and she should face her tribulation."

The King of Monkey Spirits exclaimed in shock, "Absolutely not! Sun Wukong is fierce and vengeful; he seeks retribution for every offense. If you go, aren’t you afraid you’ll be captured by the whole group at Water Curtain Cave?"

The Six-Eared Macaque sighed and said, "The Ancestral Demon’s decree, how could I defy it? Moreover, the Ancestral Demon mentioned that Sun Wukong has become enlightened, no longer the belligerent fighter of old. I believe he also understands that both of us are controlled by Buddhism, unable to act freely, and he won’t make things difficult for me."

The King of Monkey Spirits responded, "Then I’ll accompany you there!"

The Six-Eared Macaque replied, "No need, your mana is still weak, having only entered the Taiyi Golden Immortal Realm. You better stay and cultivate on your own, don’t wander around."

The Demon Abyss of the Northern Region is extremely chaotic, divided into nine layers. The ninth layer is where the Ancestral Demon Luo Hou resides, with the remaining eight occupied by masters of the Demon Path. One must be very careful when moving around; otherwise, entering another’s domain might lead to being torn to shreds in an instant.

The King of Monkey Spirits said, "Then you must be careful on your journey, do not act rashly. If you cannot kill Guanyin, flee immediately."

The Six-Eared Macaque nodded, "I am aware, you better cultivate well here. I and my brother Black Wind are going."

The Black Bear Spirit gave a formal bow to the King of Monkey Spirits, "Do not worry, Great Sister, the Ancestral Demon has ordered us, and we will not fail."

The King of Monkey Spirits then said, "Be careful on the road!"

The Six-Eared Macaque and Black Bear Spirit grabbed a handful of earth, scattered it into the air, and used the Earth Escape technique to leave the Demon Abyss of the Northern Region.

They were extremely cautious along the way, taking detours and never daring to carelessly enter another’s territory. These places were dominated by fearless demons who might let you pass if in a good mood, but if not, they might seize you to eat.

The Black Bear Spirit said, "Let me go up Water Curtain Cave. After all, you have some enmity with Sun Wukong. If he acts impulsively when heated, it could turn bad."

The Six-Eared Macaque laughed and responded, "Then I’ll trouble you, Brother Black Wind."

The Black Bear Spirit chuckled mischievously, "No trouble at all, no trouble at all! It’s all worth it to kill that wretched Guanyin."

A cold light flickered in the eyes of the Six-Eared Macaque. In his first two years in the Demon Abyss of the Northern Region, he and the Black Bear Spirit were tormented daily by the Tightening-Crown Spell, apparently Guanyin was not willing to let them off easily. Later, thanks to the Ancestral Demon Luo Hou intervening, they were able to remove their headbands and destroy them.

"This time Guanyin’s life energy has completely ended, we must kill her! Let her also ascend the Deification Platform, heh heh!" said the Six-Eared Macaque.
