Chapter 100: Grand Witch Essence and Qi Gives Birth to Kuafu

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Grand Witch Essence and Qi Gives Birth to Kuafu

It was said that two hundred million souls dragged the formation toward the sun above, the path marked by howling cold wind, obscuring the sky, casting the entire world into darkness.

The common folk were so frightened they closed their doors and did not venture out, sacrificing chickens and dogs, scattering their blood on the thresholds to ward off evil spirits.

The souls finally reached above the sun and merged into the formation, casting a shadow directly overhead. Instantly, the sun flickered and dimmed, pulled by the formation, it slowly descended toward the western direction.

People throughout the world were alarmed. Was the sun really sinking? Where was it being pulled?

Deep within the Celestial Realm.

A Taoist in white robes sat cross-legged, before him was a shattered void brimming with Chaos, as if Heaven and Earth had yet to form.

This Taoist had hair as white as a crane and the youthful face of a child, his skin rosily translucent like that of an infant.

He hung a painting in the void, sealing a vast space and stabilizing the broken void to prevent it from further shattering and being obliterated. The Taoist appeared as light as a feather, but inside him surged a torrential Mana, yet this Mana was as endless as the ocean—everlasting and inexhaustible.

"The sun should not set, and Di Jun should not die... If the sun were to forever sink into the boundless swamps of Yu Valley, who knows how many creatures between Heaven and Earth would die, how many cultivators would be hindered in their progress? This General has really outdone himself, after lying dormant for tens of thousands of years, to conjure such a grand spectacle now. Had I known earlier when he had a chance, I should have completely killed him," sighed the Taoist in white, calculating meticulously.

Having said that, with a flick of his sleeve, a pile of bones appeared on the ground. These bones emitted radiant glows, belonging to many Grand Witches killed during the ancient wars between witches and demons, including Hou Yi, Chi You, Xing Tian, among others... The Taoist in white had people collect them, and today they were finally put to significant use.

The Taoist in white then spat out a Golden Core, stabilizing the painting in front of him, stood up, and began arranging some Magical Treasures for the formation.

He tossed these scattered bones into the formation, alternating between Samadhi True Fire and the true essence of the sun to refine them. After a moment, he also used Innate True Fire for the refinement, the void cracking and popping as if it were about to explode like firecrackers.

After a short while, these bones transformed into a murky Qi, this essence distinctly characteristic of the Witch Clan, the essence of Pangu.

The Taoist in white flipped his hand, and with a palm strike, the murky Qi swiftly condensed into a human form while the True Fire continued to refine his body. Soon, the body solidified further, and its features became distinctly visible.

The Taoist in white shouted loudly, "Kua Fu the Grand Witch, if not now, then when!"

He then withdrew the three kinds of True Fire, and from the formation emerged a giant, standing nine hundred and fifty feet tall, with green snakes hanging from his ears and yellow pythons coiled around his arms, holding a staff three hundred feet long. As soon as he appeared, he inhaled deeply, sucking in the surrounding air into his lungs, then slowly exhaled, releasing a breath of True Fire and murky Qi, content.

Upon seeing the Taoist in white, Kua Fu immediately fell to the ground and bowed, saying, "Master above, Kua Fu salutes you!"

The Taoist in white nodded, "General has deployed the formation, pulling the sun toward Yu Valley. I am suppressing the void here and cannot escape. You must chase the sun. You absolutely cannot let it fall into Yu Valley."

Kua Fu said, "I follow Master’s command!"

The Taoist in white then took out a Spirit Talisman from his hand, saying, "This Spirit Talisman has been refined by me over ten thousand years and is meant for unforeseen contingencies. Take it, it will be of great use."

Kua Fu received the Spirit Talisman, saying, "Then I shall depart now."

However, the Taoist in white said, "I will also transmit to you the spell technique ’Reverting Sky and Sun.’"

This ’Reverting Sky and Sun’ spell technique was not so simple; if everyone who learned the Heavenly Constellation Thirty-six Transformations could reverse the sky and sun, would not the world’s order be in chaos? To explain it this way, the ’Reverting Sky and Sun’ involved in those thirty-six transformations is only meant to be used in a specific environment or in an artificially created world. In the Earth Immortal Realm, its effectiveness is significantly diminished.

The Taoist in white thus transmitted a Divine Skill Spell to Kua Fu. Being made from the essence and Qi of numerous Grand Witches, Kua Fu naturally had unique talents, mastering the spell in an instant. But now, with the sun being pulled by the two hundred million souls, even by deploying the spell, no effect was seen. After receiving the spell and Spirit Talisman, Kua Fu then bowed three times.

"This departure, I might not return, but Kua Fu has no regrets, to thank Master for his kindness!" Kua Fu said.

"Go," sighed the Taoist in white, flicking his sleeve and reclaiming the Golden Core, then sitting down cross-legged again.

The Taoist in white pointed a finger, instantly tearing through space, and Kua Fu stepped into it, arriving in the Divine Land of the Eastern Lands.

Kua Fu looked up to see the sun sinking westward, the souls howling, shocking the Four Domains.

He immediately sprinted with his legs stretched out, his speed extremely fast as he chased the sun in the sky.

The sun was not moving swiftly but definitely wasn’t slow either. While Kuafu was chasing, he pulled out the talisman that the Taoist in white had given him, and as soon as he did, a purple aura emerged robustly. This purple aura soared into the sky, straight towards the cloud and rushed toward the sun!

Once this purple aura made contact, miles upon miles of Yin ghosts vanished instantly, unable to regenerate. Therefore, they dragged the sun even more desperately towards the direction of Yu Valley.

Yu Valley lay in the western direction, after passing through the Western Heavenly Buddha Land, next was the Western Sea, and beyond that was a place known as Tang Valley, a land solely for exiling criminals, once inside, one could never leave. Beside Tang Valley was another place called the Ends of Heaven. After crossing the Ends of Heaven lay Yu Valley, where the sun would set into an endless marsh within the valley, and once it fell there, it would be incredibly difficult to rise again.

Seeing the sun speeding away, Kuafu had to hasten his steps. Running not much longer, he felt his mouth dry and his tongue scorched, bending down to drink up the waters of Lake Dongting, and after another hour, gulped down the waters of the Yellow River... All the way, chasing the sun for three full hours, traversing from the Eastern Divine Region to the Western Heavenly Buddha Land.

Throughout his journey, no one stopped him; the saints had predicted Kuafu’s arrival and issued orders in advance, ensuring his path was clear.

Di Jiang suddenly said, "I seem to sense the presence of Chi You and others."

Xuan Ming also frowned, "I feel it too. They seem to be together."

The twelve then used their escape techniques and headed towards the Western Heavenly Buddha Land, chasing after Kuafu.

Kuafu ran wildly, feeling a familiar aura behind him but dared not stop. If he failed to complete the task assigned by his master, the shame would be unbearable!

"That giant ahead, is he from my Witch Clan?" Di Jiang was the fastest, spreading his wings and quickly reaching Kuafu.

His true height was two to three hundred Zhang, and he flew beside Kuafu.

Kuafu said, "Kuafu has seen the Ancestral Witch, Sir. I am formed from the bones and essences of Xing Tian, Chi You, and others, called Kuafu. My master tasked me to resolve this calamity. Ancestral Witch, Sir, please be patient and let me stop this sun first."

Di Jiang exclaimed, "Your master? Who is your master? Can you really stop the sun?"

But Kuafu did not respond, with a light shout, his body transformed into a streak of blue light, heading straight west, treading the Western Sea as if it were flat ground.

Di Jiang was taken aback. Kuafu’s speed was indeed fast; even he would probably need to be at his peak to catch up, no wonder Kuafu could chase down the sun.

But Di Jiang did not stop either, desperately flapping his four meaty wings, just managing to keep up with Kuafu.

Kuafu ran all the way across the Western Sea, straight to the Ends of Heaven.

The Ends of Heaven was a stretch of land, yet filled with surging chaotic aura. Kuafu was not at all afraid, stepping into it in one stride and in the blink of an eye, disappeared from sight.

Di Jiang hurriedly stopped, not daring to venture in. The chaotic aura here was overwhelming; one might endure it for a moment, but prolonged exposure could grind one to death! The chaotic aura was too dense here, almost like before Heaven and Earth had formed, visibility was barely ten meters.

This chaotic aura was extremely dangerous, harming those with shallow cultivation upon contact.

This chaotic aura differed from the one on the Green Emperor Green Lotus; the latter originated from a lotus root nourished within the Heaven-Opening Blue Lotus, while the present chaotic aura before them was filled with impurities, entering it would likely result in being mangled by the chaos in mere moments, leaving not even a trace of bones.

Soon, the other Ancestral Witches also arrived at this location.

"Big brother, who is that man?" Zhu Rong said.

"He is a Grand Witch formed from the bones and essence of Hou Yi, Chi You, and others from bygone years, named Kuafu, standing nine hundred and fifty Zhang tall, embodying the spirit of supreme authority. Kuafu said he has a master; it appears his master created him. I don’t know who that could be?" Di Jiang said, frowning.

Xuan Ming suddenly said, "Who else could it be?"

Everyone suddenly realized and fell silent.
