Chapter 90: Chapter 090 The Big Star

"She passed away." Grandma looked a little sad and glanced at Sheng Tang simultaneously, her expression hard to read, "Don’t let your mom see this photo; she would be heartbroken!"

After saying that, Grandma casually crumpled the photo into a ball and stuffed it into her pocket.

Sheng Tang: "..."

Why does it feel so strange?

"What was her name?" Sheng Tang pressed on, "How did she die?"

Grandma seemed quite sorrowful: "It was many years ago. You’re all grown up now; how would I remember?"

She was unwilling to say more.

Sheng Tang thought there might be some secrets in the past, but as it had nothing to do with her, she didn’t press further.

After having a day of rest, Sheng Tang went to the gym as usual on the weekend and returned to school on Monday for classes.

The sports event was very successful; Sheng Tang’s class achieved a decent ranking, and they even had a celebratory party, which Sheng Tang didn’t attend.

"During the party, the homeroom teacher gave us small gifts, a very beautiful pen. I wanted to get one for you, but I got dragged away." Jiang Baocu said with some regret.

Sheng Tang said it didn’t matter.

She opened her desk to put away her backpack and saw a beautifully packaged pen lying inside.

She was slightly stunned.

"Is this it?" She showed it to Jiang Baocu.

"Yeah..." Jiang Baocu was surprised, "Who got it for you? The homeroom teacher said you couldn’t take more than one; if you did, you had to register it, so I thought I’d mention it later. But then I forgot."

Sheng Tang looked around.

She had no idea.

In this class, who would secretly give her something?

The last time’s breakfast might have been a mistake, but this time the pen was definitely meant for Sheng Tang because Jiang Baocu hadn’t missed the class’s celebration party.

"You have a secret admirer!" Jiang Baocu whispered.

Sheng Tang couldn’t help but laugh.

She didn’t really believe she had a pursuer, considering she was too chubby.

Having literary talent, at most, someone might have a friendly feeling towards her, thinking she’s nice and not looking down on her.

But for that to develop into love was very unlikely.

Sheng Tang didn’t particularly want that pen, it gave her a bit of a headache.

Jiang Baocu thought it was a good thing and there was no need to turn it into a burden, so she comforted Sheng Tang, "Maybe it’s a girl? She was bullied by Feng Yijin, and you stood up for her, so she’s secretly thanking you?"

Sheng Tang smiled.

She casually placed the pen aside, not making a big deal of it, and prepared for class.

At noon, Sheng Tang and Jiang Baocu along with three other girls returned from the cafeteria when a younger schoolmate suddenly ran over, saying, "Sheng Tang, someone is looking for you at the school gate."

Sheng Tang: "Who?"

"I don’t know, they just said they were looking for you."

After saying that, the younger schoolmate ran off.

Fearing it was her family, Sheng Tang hurried to the school gate.

Jiang Baocu and the other three girls, worried it might be someone causing trouble, said, "We’ll go with you; we need to buy something over there."

Sheng Tang didn’t stop them.

When they reached the school gate, they saw a car.

The car was a nondescript black one, its appearance very similar to the one Gu Shiting often rode in — bulletproof, extremely safe, custom-made, with no logo.

The car door opened, revealing a slender, straight leg, as a tall, graceful woman slowly stepped out.

She wore sunglasses that covered half her face, with a smile playing at her lips, "Who is Sheng Tang?"

Sheng Tang stepped forward, "I am."

Jiang Baocu stared intently at the woman, feeling she looked particularly familiar.

The other classmates felt the same.

"Hello." The woman smiled, "Have you had lunch?"

Sheng Tang: "..."

A completely unfamiliar person greeting her across the school gate, it all felt a bit odd.
