Chapter 62: 62. From Demon King to Potential Drug Lord! The Prospect of a New Product
For several months now, there had been a sudden change in the medicine market with the emergence of the substance that Souzane and her gang were about to delve into dealing.
The original source of this substance couldn’t be traced and as such, it has remained unknown for the longest time. However, it was a new development for Crimson Melon town that Souzane and a select few of individuals knew about and this implied that these said individuals were either of two factions: the medicine marketers or the underground crime network that existed in the world.
A substance that has come to be known by many names that even dealers had lost count. Said to take one to the astral plane and carry their minds into a state of nirvana, detaching them from this world and from the problems they had therein.
Souzane may not exactly look like a smart person because of her physique that gave her the appearance of butch while making people think she’s just a musclebrain. But she had a knack for the business she was in.
That was why her elder brother, Tazane, passed on the torch to her despite being young and not so experienced at that time as well as the only female in a group of rascally sons of bitches.
Souzane could predict where this new product would be in the near future and wanted to jump on the wagon early.
With this decision, she had to find answers to the first question anyone who intended to deal in a particular product would ask themselves.
"Where do I get the products from?" she asked herself on that day, while having a drink inside her bathtub under dim light.
And like it had always done, the bath granted her an answer like it does almost everyone who comes to it with bothersome thoughts. Souzane snapped and her eyes beamed with inspiration.
Souzane had just experienced a light bulb moment!
Immediately, she dropped the mug of ale in her hand and ran out of her bath naked, her breasts bouncing graciously as she soldiered on to her private room. Souzane pulled out a scroll and scribbled a few seemingly nonsensical things on that day.
As the days went by she altered the plan in many different ways, aiming to achieve perfection. After all, a perfect plan left no room for worries.
It took her months and eventually she found one that she believed addressed all her worries. She had found her perfect plan.
Fast forward some time in the near future from then, a young man with black hair, a pretty face and adorable pair of eyes, named Aaron Winters, would call her perfect plan a stupid one.
Summarily, Souzane’s perfect plan was a heist on how to acquire this booming product so she too could become a supplier and earn money from it.

Present day.
Aaron, Souzane and the rest of their company had been released from the Green Patrol custody and as they walked out, they came face to face with the bittered regard of the man who had taken me into detention in the first place, Captain Menjin.
Souzane stuck out her tongue at him and flickered it as they finally walked out of the building.
"Bleh!"
Menjin said nothing, instead he hissed and continued with the work he was doing.
They came out of the building and after a few minutes, some members of the Green Patrol brought them their properties — horses, wagons, fabric supplies etc.
"So what is it we are looking for?" Aaron asked again, making Souzane understand that he had not forgotten.
Souzane leaned into Aaron and caressed her lips with her tongue excitedly. The elation in her breath was palpable as she was about to answer Aaron. She purred like one would when talking to their lover.
Then she whispered into his ears. "It’s... opium."
"Opium?" Aaron thought to himself first before asking it out loudly.
Souzane covered his mouth and looked around, making sure that no one they didn’t want to hear him heard him.
"Shh. You are going to put us all in trouble again."
After a few seconds, Souzane removed her hand and climbed her ride, pulling the bridle to guide the horse in the direction that she wished to go.
"I will tell you everything once we’ve settled down."
With that, they exited the entire vicinity that was owned by the Green Patrol.
Meanwhile, as they left, Menjin had spared some of his time to watch them from inside the building. And after he was sure they had gone, he went back to his chair and sat down.
Menjin took out an empty light brown scroll, a quill and a bottle of ink and started to write. On the scroll, he recorded his ordeal with, as he called them, a strange group that had entered the Herb village. A group that he advised should be monitored as a precautionary measure.
The captain of the Green Patrol ended his writing with a ’Thank you for your anticipated response’, after which he signed his name at the bottom end of the scroll.
He impressed the sigil of the Green Patrol on the scroll and rolled it up. Menjin rose from his chair and left his workstation.
A few minutes later, he entered a room and came out within the next 3-5 minutes with a messenger bird hanging on his hand.

It’s been a few hours since their release from the cell of the Green Patrol. The members of the bandit crew had all lodged into an inn. Initially, Souzane suggested that they buy out the entire inn but Aaron had kicked against it since that would be a move that would attract even more eyes their way.
The day was drawing towards evening and Aaron had left his room to go and see Souzane.
Knock. Knock.
The door to Souzane’s room creaked open and Aaron entered. Souzane took a short moment to scan the hallway first before closing her door.
Aaron didn’t wait for her words and made himself comfortable, taking a seat on one of the chairs in the room. Souzane searched and eventually found a particular bag among her personal luggage and from it she took out a small white bottle.
She returned to join Aaron and together, they sat and faced the table in front of them.
Souzane dangled the bottle before Aaron’s eyes. "This is it, pretty face. This is the future," she stated with assurance.
"What is that?" Aaron asked, still awaiting clarification since the first time he asked her about the product.
Souzane chuckled and poured some of the content of the bottle on the table, revealing a small amount of fine brownish powder. She proceeded to part them into different lines.
Then she looked at Aaron. "It’s opium."
