Chapter 92: Chapter 91: Karena’s Favorite Thing to Do

Karena turned her back to him, leaving him with only her silhouette.

Her gesture seemed to say: Since you’ve already aligned yourself with the Yukino Family, why are you even here? My illness is none of your concern now, is it?

It was clear that Karena was acting out of spite, fueled by hurt feelings.

"Karena, about the matchmaking arrangement with Haruno... it was all my mother’s doing, not my own desire," Roland quickly explained, knowing the root of her anger.

Unfortunately, Karena refused to accept his explanation. Or perhaps she wasn’t looking for excuses at all, but something more tangible. She remained motionless, her back still turned, showing no interest in hearing his justifications.

Roland felt helpless. It seemed that unless he made a clear declaration of his feelings, Karena might never speak to him again.

Left with no other choice, Roland took off his shoes and skillfully slipped under the covers, gently embracing her from behind.

Their bodies pressed together as always. Roland could feel that Karena’s pajamas were already soaked with sweat, making her feel damp and sticky against him.

For some reason, this feels a little erotic..

Come to think of it, Karena was still wearing that white shirt as pajamas with nothing underneath, and her lower half was likely just her usual pair of panties, leaving her long, shapely legs bare.

It was always like this. Whenever Karena slept with him, she always dressed like this.

She’s alluring, bold, and undeniably sexy.

For a girl her age, dressing like this and crawling into a boy’s bed might raise eyebrows—but in her world, it’s perfectly natural.

What most people don’t know is that this isn’t how Karena originally was. At first, she didn’t like wearing clothes to bed at all—she preferred to sleep nude. And not just alone—she’d often try to coax him into doing the same, wanting nothing more than to hide under the covers together, wrapped up in each other and lost in the heat of the moment.

In the end, Roland stopped her. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to, but they were both too young to get married. Doing something like that as students would have been far too premature.

Even though their relationship had already been approved by both sets of parents, they couldn’t rush into starting a family so quickly.

Under Roland’s insistence, Karena reluctantly agreed to wear the "near naked white shirt" outfit, her face full of resentment.

By the way, this white shirt wasn’t Karena’s, nor was it a gift Roland had bought for her.

It was actually Roland’s own shirt.

One of Karena’s favorite things to do after her daily bath was to wander around his room naked, then pick out one of his shirts to wear as pajamas for the night.

Ahem. Of course, Roland always stayed outside the door during this process. He would never stoop to peeking through the crack,..

He had never spied on her, nor did he know she took so long trying on clothes each time. After all, she was rather... well-endowed in all directions even more so then Haruno.

If it were Yuki, she surely wouldn’t have this problem. *Pfft!

Ahem, anyway, none of that matters.

The real issue was that Karena had stained his clothes again. Would he even wear them again?

Fine, fine, that’s not the main point either. The real point was that even though Karena didn’t want to acknowledge him, when he hugged her from behind, she didn’t resist at all. In fact, he could feel her slightly flushed body unconsciously leaning into his embrace.

After all, they had shared a room for so many years. This kind of gesture had become muscle memory for Karena.

"Karena, let me finish," Roland whispered patiently in her ear, showing no sign of impatience. "The situation with Haruno is over. We’ve broken up officially. The reason I came back was to meet you for a marriage arrangement, so..."

After all, if he just said the words, he was certain Karena would forgive him.

Well... at least half of her would forgive him, right?

As expected, when Karena heard that Roland had broken up with his girlfriend and wanted to get back together with her, she abruptly turned around, her Health Value instantly returning to the safe zone of 60 points.

"Oh? Is that really true?" Karena asked, her tone laced with warning. Her expression seemed to say, If you dare lie, don’t blame me for going full yandere on you.

"When have I ever lied to you? When I said I’d go on a blind date with you, I meant it. It’s just that..." Roland hesitated, his words trailing off.

He really didn’t dare finish that sentence. Hadn’t he noticed the warning in Karena’s eyes growing even sharper?

If he said the wrong thing, he might actually get the yandere treatment.

"Just that what?" Karena’s gaze turned icy again. Don’t you dare tell me there’s some twist or reversal. I don’t fall for that crap.

"Karena, calm down first. The fact that I came on a matchmaking date with you is absolutely true. However, as the price for letting me return, the Yukino Family insisted I also go on a date with Yuki. So, you see..." Roland stammered, trembling with fear that she might lash out and lower his Health Value in anger or worse her Health Value may fall again

This is it! This is using Health Value to control your to be fiancé!

"Huh? That’s all?" Karena unexpectedly wore a ’is that all?’ expression.

"Uh... that’s really all. You’re not upset?" Roland looked bewildered. Why had she fallen ill when he went on a date with Haruno before, but now she didn’t care about him matchmaking with Yuki?

Did she think the "ordinary" Yuki was no match for her?

Or had her brain fried from the fever?

"Why would I be upset? What’s there to be upset about?" Karena said calmly.

"Uh... so, I still have to go on a date with Yuki, you know."

"Go ahead. Then firmly reject her. Tell her you’ve been molded into my shape and can’t live without me."

"Huh?"

"What ’huh’? If you won’t reject her, do you plan to reject me instead?"

"How could that be? It’s just..."

"What? Are you actually reluctant to leave her?" Karena’s gaze turned icy again.

"Of course not~ It’s just that I can’t reject her right now. My mom has explicitly ordered me to go on dates with both of you for a month before making a decision. So, this isn’t something I can decide on my own," Roland said with a wry smile.

Truth be told, he didn’t dare agree to Karena’s demand to reject Yuki outrightly.

If he did, Haruno would immediately come knocking, demanding an explanation.

And if Haruno showed up with a swelling belly, it would be Karena’s turn to throw a fit again.

Sigh,.. these two woman can’t calm down and stop losing their tempers?!

"Fine. Since you can’t reject her, then tell me plainly: who do you plan to choose after a month?" Karena pressed relentlessly, demanding a resolution to this matter.

"Well... how could I possibly know what will happen a month from now? Let’s leave that decision to the me of the future. Why should I worry about it now? The current me is definitely on your side!" Roland quickly feigned ignorance, looking up at the ceiling.

His words were remarkably skillful. First, they clearly stated his current allegiance to Karena. Second, they shifted the responsibility of choosing to his future self—truly... shameless!

Karena saw through his act immediately. Roland clearly didn’t dare abandon her, but he also couldn’t bring himself to abandon Yuki.

In other words, Roland’s choice during the next month was irrelevant; he simply couldn’t make one.

What truly mattered was how they could make the choice for him!

For example, if she were to get pregnant right now, wouldn’t that effectively force Roland’s decision?

With this thought, Karena’s frail body suddenly found an unexpected surge of strength. In a swift motion, she flipped Roland over, pinning him beneath her body.

"Fine," she said with a cold snort. "Since you can’t make a choice, I’ll help both your present self and your future self decide!" Ignoring Roland’s protests, she forcefully intertwined their fingers and slowly lowered her head toward him.

Judging by her determined posture, Karena was resolved to resolve all their problems in one decisive move, without any reservations.

"Wait, Karena, what are you doing?! Your fever hasn’t even calmed down yet!" Roland exclaimed in alarm. "Karena, you’re being too reckless! Have you forgotten you’re still burning with fever?"

"Shut up!" she snapped. "If it burns, let it burn! What’s wrong with burning like a raging fire? Wouldn’t it help you anyway ?" Her eyes hardened as Roland’s widened in shock. Something soft and warm had invaded his mouth.

With his lips sealed shut by Karena own, he could no longer voice his objections.
