Chapter 576: Chapter 576

The size of Bi Gang’s basement was much larger than Yang Fan had imagined.

Passing the reception area, there was a long corridor with many extensions on both sides, including bathrooms, rest areas, tea bars, cloakrooms, and so on.

Among these areas, there were various rooms mixed in, such as hospital rooms, classrooms, and others designed like water beds, barrels, and even mimicking buses and subways.

It was only after Yang Fan had seen them all that he suddenly realized what these rooms were for.

"Old Zhou, is Bi Gang trying to be a producer or what!" Yang Fan said, "This place is just like a movie set."

Old Zhou was also puzzled at that moment, but upon hearing Yang Fan’s words, he suddenly slapped his thigh, "Fanzi, you really have seen it all. I’ve been wondering what these rooms were for, and your words just cleared it up for me, absolutely!"

"That doesn’t sound like a compliment," Yang Fan said with a light laugh.

Old Zhou gave Yang Fan a wink and smiled, "I am praising you, praising you."

"The key thing is that these items don’t seem to count as evidence. Bi Gang wouldn’t have made such a huge basement just to hide these things, right?" Yang Fan said, feeling rather frustrated, since he had been twisting and turning for a long time without finding anything, which was quite disheartening.

"Let’s not jump to conclusions too quickly, let’s keep looking," Old Zhou said gravely, "I feel that there should be something we’re looking for here. If there wasn’t anything that needed hiding, Bi Gang wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of having such a basement."

"From what we’ve just seen, even if it was kept above ground, as long as it was hidden a little, nobody would discover it, so why the need for such a basement?"

Yang Fan nodded his head, "Let’s continue."

The two continued forward, turned right at the end of the corridor, and then came across several connected rooms, each fitted with heavy security doors. At a glance, these doors were extremely sturdy, almost comparable to those of a bank vault.

The locks on the doors were not traditional locks but a combination of electronic and mechanical ones, looking very complex.

Yang Fan surveyed them for a while and sighed, "Old Zhou, it looks like there are definitely secrets here, but it seems we can do nothing about them. Can you open this door?"

Old Zhou, looking as if he were in pain, scrutinized the door for a long while and then helplessly shook his head, "I’m stumped!"

"Although I was apprenticed to ’thousand skills’, what I learned hardly relates to that. Forget these locks; I can’t even open a regular security door."

"So what do we do now? Give up?" Yang Fan said, feeling powerless.

Old Zhou gave a bitter smile, "I really don’t want to give up, but I truly can’t do anything about this door. Let’s look around a little more, see if we can find something useful elsewhere. Bi Gang is way too cautious—digging such a hidden basement and still installing such high-security doors."

No matter how they complained, the inability to proceed was a fact.

Yang Fan and Old Zhou had no choice but to continue searching elsewhere.

After passing these rooms with extremely high security levels, they turned left.

What appeared in front of Yang Fan and Old Zhou was a heavy iron door. Fortunately, this door didn’t have such high security, and as it was locked from the inside, flipping the bolt would let them out.

Upon opening the door and stepping out, Yang Fan was so stunned by the sight that he was momentarily blinded.

"Holy shit!"

Old Zhou exclaimed in shock.

Yang Fan himself felt like shouting the same. With no other adjectives to describe the scene before him, only a "holy shit" could express Yang Fan’s shock that left his mind numb.

The room Yang Fan saw was quite spacious, about fifty to sixty square meters with nothing inside but a large iron cage in the middle. The lighting in the room was very strong, especially around the iron cage area, where the light was so intense that one could see everything inside clearly.

This scene inevitably reminded Yang Fan of a scene from a movie, which it greatly resembled.

However, in that movie, the iron cage housed only one woman.

But here, the iron cage contained five girls, each looking dazed and completely naked.

"Old Zhou, it seems we have the evidence, but what should we do now?" Yang Fan asked.

Old Zhou’s expression turned grim as he thought for a moment and then asked, "Should we record this whole thing and then withdraw?"

"I think just recording it isn’t enough; we also need to capture what Bi Gang has done to these women!" Yang Fan said sternly, "What has happened to these women is the more critical evidence."

"Then let’s get to work, quick and decisive," Old Zhou said.

"Alright!"

The two quickly took out their phones and headed toward the large iron cage in the center of the room.

The girls inside, upon seeing Yang Fan and Old Zhou approaching, huddled together like frightened deer.

This was the first time Yang Fan faced naked women and felt nothing.

"Don’t be nervous; we are here to rescue you. However, we can’t immediately take you out; I need you to tell us what exactly happened to you first, then we can rescue you," Yang Fan said quickly, holding up his phone.

"I understand this might be hard to comprehend, but this is your chance to get out. Who wants to speak? Hurry up, we don’t have much time," he continued.

The girls exchanged looks, but none of them responded.

Yang Fan’s brows furrowed, "Don’t tell me you are actually here voluntarily?"

"Of course not!" suddenly, a girl with wine-red long hair and a tall figure said loudly.

She had smooth skin below her belly button and some bruises on her knees.

"What is your identity?" another girl suddenly asked, "If you are not a cop, please put down your phone. We are already in this condition; I don’t want these videos to be leaked out."

Yang Fan was stunned.

Was she still worried about that because they were too comfortable living here?

The girl with wine-red long hair said, "Don’t mind her, that woman is crazy. You can film me."

"Regardless of who you are, as long as you can truly rescue me, I will do everything in my power to repay you. Can I start narrating my story now?" she asked.

Yang Fan nodded.

He wasn’t particularly concerned with their gratitude; he had his own reasons for being there.

The girl with wine-red long hair bit her thin lips and very calmly said into Yang Fan’s phone, "My name is Ren Qian, I am a teacher. A month ago, I was just showing someone the way home from work, and then I ended up here."

"Showing the way is a common thing, and I thought it was just a common thing. But now, people’s hearts are so wicked that even such a simple act is full of traps," she explained.
