Happy Little Farmer
Chapter 454

Chapter 454: Chapter 454

Little Mother’s unrestrained mockery made Yang Fan feel utterly disheartened.

It truly hit him hard!

Originally, he was quite pleased with himself and didn’t think his situation was that miserable.

But Little Mother’s words made him genuinely feel pitiful.

Pitifully full of bumps and hollows.

Seeing the look of existential crisis on Yang Fan’s face, Zhou Wenhui couldn’t help but burst into loud laughter.

But turning around, she saw Wei Juan’s entire face pressed against the window, peering straight into the kitchen with a gaze devoid of any emotion.

"Oh, dear mother!" Zhou Wenhui got a fright, clutching her chest, and exclaimed, "Xiao Juan, you’re gonna scare me to death!"

Wei Juan giggled, "Sister-in-law, you’re really too easy to tease. What were you guys whispering about in such secrecy?"

As she spoke, she made her way in through the doorway.

Yang Fan fixed his eyes on her, quietly becoming cautious.

Mr. Fan had said that Wei Juan would seem normal most of the time, but it seems that wasn’t entirely accurate; there were some differences.

"Talking about what? Talking about you guys. Last night’s events, are you going to explain yourself?" Zhou Wenhui asked teasingly with her arms crossed in front of her.

Wei Juan suddenly became shy, "Sister-in-law, you... what are you talking about!"

Her reaction, though, was quite normal.

The real Wei Juan would certainly act this way too.

"You guys still trying to keep it from me?" Zhou Wenhui’s eyebrows raised, "Pretty impressive, eh? The three of you together, I’m curious about how you discussed it and what exactly you played."

Yang Fan wasn’t sure if this topic would upset Wei Juan, but just to be safe, he immediately interjected, "Little Mother, haven’t I already explained it clearly to you? It’s really just that, don’t make it hard for Xiao Juan anymore."

"Oh wow, rallying to her defense already?" Zhou Wenhui exclaimed dramatically.

"I want to hear Xiao Juan’s answer now. Even courtroom evidence requires consistency. What if you, you little brat, are lying to me? I’m not just going to ask Xiao Juan, but I’m also going to check with your sister-in-law later, so you’d better keep your mouth shut now!"

Yang Fan: ...

He inwardly sighed, Little Mother, it’s not that I’m stopping you from asking because of the issue itself.

The trouble is actually much bigger.

But with Zhou Wenhui’s remark, Yang Fan found it inappropriate to say anything now.

"Xiao Juan, let’s hear your answer," Zhou Wenhui said.

Wei Juan, looking bashfully at Yang Fan, spoke in a voice as soft as a mosquito’s whine, "Sister-in-law, actually... alright, since you already know, I won’t hide it. Fanzi, sister-in-law, and I are together now."

"The three of you together, didn’t you find anything wrong with that?" Zhou Wenhui asked.

Wei Juan bashfully replied, "Although there are certainly some issues, it’s kind of complicated. It just evolved into this and for now, I think it’s quite nice."

"So last night, you guys were together and acting up?" Zhou Wenhui asked.

She was obviously asking on purpose.

Yang Fan wanted to intervene, but lacking a solid reason, he had to let it be.

"...Well, yes," Wei Juan said softly.

"What do you mean, ’well, yes’?" Zhou Wenhui was not satisfied with the answer.

Wei Juan pursed her lips slightly turned white, "It means we didn’t go all the way, we just played around a bit, used our mouths... that’s about it. Nothing further was done."

Zhou Wenhu looked like she had an epiphany, "Oh, I get it now, even though it’s one man and two women, what you do is actually equivalent to three women, right?"

Yang Fan: ...

This jab hit a bit deep and even carried a tone of mockery.

"Because of the physical condition, yes, you could say that," Wei Juan said, her face blushing as she stammered.

Although she was shy, her eyes were unusually calm, even showing a hint of cruelty.

It was as if her gaze and expression were entirely disconnected.

Suddenly, her expression became fierce.

She suddenly looked up, staring fiercely at Yang Fan, "Are you having people come after me?"

Yang Fan was startled by her appearance, quickly shielded Little Mother behind him, and shouted sternly, "What are you talking about?"

"Don’t play dumb, don’t you know that if I die, your little lover will die too?" Wei Juan’s neck twisted at a strange angle, her eyes emitting a misty glow as she stared intently at Yang Fan.

Her voice was no longer Wei Juan’s but rather a slightly hoarse female voice.

"Fanzi, what’s going on?" Zhou Wenhu asked in horror.

"Little Mother, run. Now’s not the time for explanations!" Yang Fan urgently urged.

"Trying to leave? Do you think you can?" Wei Juan, like a spider, quickly scurried up onto the wall, "Or else, how about I send you all to die, and you can be my servant ghosts, together forever, huh?"

Yang Fan glanced towards the door. When he had entered, he had placed the wooden mace in a cabinet near the door.

He was about three steps away from it.

And Wei Juan was currently on the wall right beside the door, about at an equal distance.

Weighing the situation, Yang Fan suppressed the urge to dash over and grab the wooden mace, not believing he could outrun Wei Juan’s pounce. His thoughts raced like lightning, and he yelled, "Do you have any demands? If it’s something we can fulfill, we certainly will. Afterwards, you leave on your own, how about that?"

"I want you all to die, can you satisfy that?" Wei Juan cackled.

The laughter was accompanied by a grating sound of teeth grinding, screechingly chilling, almost as if scratching the soul.

"Aside from that. Even though you’ve achieved some cultivation, there must still be things you need, maybe we living people could help," Yang Fan shouted.

He said this based entirely on some stories he had heard as a child.

When he was young, he often heard the elders in the village do the same.

If a child suddenly encountered some dirty entity and fell into unconsciousness, they would talk while burning paper money, which had a special term, though Yang Fan couldn’t remember what it was called, but it was said to be quite effective.

Suddenly, Wei Juan roared furiously, her expression turning even more fierce, her face covered with a dense network of blue veins, looking utterly terrifying.

Seeing his chance, Yang Fan dove towards the door, grabbed the wooden mace from the cabinet, pulled off the outer bag, and struck Wei Juan as he jumped up.

Xiao Juan, this isn’t my fault, there’s no other way, I had to do it this way!

Yang Fan mentally apologized to Wei Juan as he swung the wooden mace down fiercely.

Bang!

Suddenly, Wei Juan slapped out.

The immense force felt like being slapped by a gorilla.

His body flew out in an instant, crashing heavily against the wall, causing the entire house to shake violently.

"Fanzi!" Zhou Wenhu dashed over, quickly embracing Fanzi.

"Little Mother, run!" Yang Fan shouted urgently, as blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.
