Chapter 286: Chapter 286

Perplexed, Yang Fan dialed his sister-in-law’s number.

"Sister-in-law, where did you all go in the middle of the night? Why is no one at home?"

"We went into town," Ye Tong sounded like she was at the plaza, the background noise was very chaotic.

"Ah? Why did you suddenly go to town?" Yang Fan asked, completely baffled.

"Xiao Yuan suddenly wanted to sing, so we changed our plans. I tried calling you but couldn’t get through at all. Little Mother said you might be on the road and it’s hard to answer the phone. I was just about to call you once we arrived," Ye Tong explained.

Yang Fan was dumbfounded and checked his phone’s call log. Lo and behold, it was filled with missed calls in red.

Checking the time, it was precisely when he and Wu Xuelan were messing around in total chaos.

He had been so annoyed by the phone during the day while messing with Yu Hong Dou that he had silenced his phone.

Judging by the timing, when he and Wu Xuelan were frantically messing around in the reed marsh, Little Mother and the others might have just been on the road. Realizing this, Yang Fan couldn’t help feeling a bit guilty. They shouldn’t have noticed, right?

It’s impossible to see the side of the road from the main road, but Wu Xuelan’s screams at the time were too crazy, which made Yang Fan feel somewhat uneasy. If someone had sneaked up quietly, and with him being so focused at the time, he probably wouldn’t have noticed.

"Fanzi, I’ll send you a location, come over later," Ye Tong said.

Slightly distracted, Yang Fan quickly responded, "Then, are we coming back tonight?"

"We’ll see how it goes, if it’s too late, we won’t go home and will just crash at the place," Ye Tong replied.

"Okay, then send me the location later," said Yang Fan.

From his sister-in-law’s tone, she seemed to have not noticed anything.

If they were taking a vehicle, minor movements around wouldn’t be noticed much.

But at this hour, it was unlikely that Little Mother and the others would walk to town, they must have called for a village car.

Feeling guilty like a thief, Yang Fan went through thought after thought until he finally assured himself that nothing was amiss, and then he started up his rickshaw and headed towards the town.

Upon reaching the town, he glanced at the location his sister-in-law had sent over—a place called Yunjin KTV.

The last time Yang Fan had been to such a place was when he graduated from high school.

That was already several years ago.

Carrying the cake meant for Yang Yuan, Yang Fan entered Yunjin KTV.

It was a KTV with a buffet service. It seemed singing was an afterthought here; dining was their main business.

After going upstairs, Yang Fan called his sister-in-law, asking her to come and meet him.

"Sir, how many of you?"

As Yang Fan was putting away his phone, a female waitress with a tattoo on her neck approached him.

"There were four women who came in earlier, which room are they in? Two are a bit older, and then two younger ladies," Yang Fan asked.

"Oh, in Room 118. I’ll take you there," the waitress said.

She only thought for a moment before confirming the people Yang Fan was looking for.

A group of four women wasn’t a common sight, so she remembered them well.

Yang Fan thanked her and followed the waitress.

She looked young, possibly just out of high school, but she carried an air of the world about her.

Especially the tattoo on her neck, unclear what the letters were, it completely obscured her otherwise innocent appearance.

Passing through a corridor shimmering with blue lights, suddenly a noisy argument erupted ahead.

"Is there a drunk making a scene?"

Yang Fan asked curiously, but upon looking to the side, his face immediately darkened.

"Could you help me hold this for a second!"

Yang Fan handed the cake he was holding to a waitress and strode toward the troublemakers ahead.

Those causing trouble were none other than Little Mother and her group.

Opposing them were two young men from society who also looked like they had just stepped out of a school.

They seemed to deliberately try to present themselves as mob bosses, but their youthful faces betrayed them.

For some reason, Little Mother and her group had started fighting with these two guys, and the situation was quite heated.

Little Mother grabbed one guy’s hair, her slaps nearly sparking flames.

Meanwhile, another young thug was furiously kicking Little Mother while her sister-in-law and the other two scratched and clawed at each other nearby.

Yang Fan rushed over and, with a flying kick, sent one guy flying.

As the guy hit the ground, Yang Fan pounced like a cheetah, pinning the guy’s neck with his knee while he began slapping him relentlessly.

He didn’t bother to ask why; attacking Little Mother was his original sin!

Yang Fan didn’t know what had happened before, but he had seen the guy kick Little Mother twice just moments ago.

The somewhat skinny young man from society was no match for Fanzi in terms of strength, who pinned him to the ground. After initially struggling and spitting out in a fierce expression, he ended up cradling his head with both hands for the duration.

He simply couldn’t fight back.

With an expressionless face, Yang Fan relentlessly slapped the man with powerful swings from both hands.

In just a moment, the young thug’s mouth was bloody, and his cheek visibly swollen.

"Fanzi, stop it, this is getting out of hand," Ye Tong rushed over and stopped Yang Fan.

Yang Fan shook off her hand and stopped, though he still didn’t let go.

"Sister-in-law, what happened?" he asked, looking up.

Ye Tong spoke angrily, "These two guys were drunk, and I ran into them when I came out to meet you. They wanted to take me to their private box to drink, and I refused. They then said some disgusting things. When I snapped back, they grabbed me, and it turned into this."

Yang Fan’s eyes turned ominous, like a wild wolf choosing its prey, and he slapped the thug’s face hard again, "Fuck off, you dared touch my sister-in-law!"

"You scum, you touched my sister-in-law!"

Smack!

"Didn’t your parents teach you manners? Fuck you big time!"

Smack!

...

After another dozen slaps, Ye Tong again stopped Yang Fan, "Stop it, Fanzi, I’m fine."

"Sister-in-law, you can’t be soft on these kinds of people. You’re okay now because we were many. If you were alone, you might have already been in big trouble. You can never imagine how vile these unemployed thugs can be," Yang Fan said with a stern face.

He had once seen a video online where three thugs brutally murdered a couple.

The cruelty was so intense that even watching the video sent chills down his spine.

"I know, but he... he seems to have fainted," Ye Tong said softly.

Yang Fan pulled the guy’s face around to check him and, yep, he had actually fainted.

So fragile to not withstand the beatings.

"It’s okay, sister-in-law, you go inside. I’ll handle this," Yang Fan said as he got up.

Ye Tong had just nodded when suddenly a group of men in tight pants and T-shirts, exuding aggression and murderous intent, rushed into the hallway.

Seeing this, Ye Tong immediately tensed up, "Fanzi, what do we do? Call the police."
