Happy Little Farmer -
Chapter 269
Chapter 269: Chapter 269
In a flurry of activity, Yang Fan’s Bai Cao Pavilion had successfully opened for business.
At the same time, he received another piece of good news delivered by Zhang Yulan.
Wang Tianbao, Hetian Gaofei, and others were all taken in together.
Under Zhang Yulan’s operation, their case had now ended, and the next step was the sentencing.
If nothing unexpected happened, each of them would likely face at least ten years to start with.
Loan sharking, abducting young girls through intimidation, violently demanding debts resulting in several deaths, and turning illicit income into seemingly legitimate revenue through acquisitions, etc., this series of charges was enough to keep them occupied for quite a while.
This matter was now essentially settled, giving Yang Fan a sense of reassurance.
He no longer needed to worry about these troublesome matters.
One after another, good news made Yang Fan feel as if his life had suddenly brightened up.
Around noon, Zhou Wenhui went home.
There was a pile of things waiting for her at home, so she couldn’t stay in the store to help Yang Fan all the time.
All morning, Yang Fan had wanted to ask Little Mother how they ended up sleeping last night.
But in the end, he didn’t have the nerve to ask.
Yang Fan watched over the shop until past four in the afternoon, then rode his rickshaw toward the county.
He wanted to hand over the piece of Thunderstruck Wood to Fan Sisi as soon as possible, and, while he was at it, deposit the box of money before the bank closed.
Keeping so much money in the store made him extremely anxious, almost to the point of wanting to chain the box to his arm.
He arrived at the bank while it was still open, but the staff were already preparing to close up.
They were tallying accounts and, seeing Yang Fan coming in, told him from afar to withdraw money at the machine and to handle other services tomorrow. But when Yang Fan showed them the box he was carrying, the initially impatient clerks immediately beamed with smiles and dropped what they were doing to process his deposit.
For the truly wealthy, over eight hundred thousand was not a lot.
But to the bank clerks, these deposits were tangible achievements.
Yang Fan’s money could probably help a clerk meet half a month’s performance goals, so why wouldn’t they be happy?
After successfully depositing the money, Yang Fan contentedly checked the balance on his bank card several times, and then cheerfully headed to the market.
Delong Wanshu Sichuan Restaurant was the name of Fan Sisi’s establishment.
At this time, it just happened to be a rush hour for dining, and the whole first floor of the Sichuan restaurant was nearly packed with people.
Yang Fan parked his vehicle by the road, took out the Thunderstruck Wood wrapped in cloth from the carriage, and stepped into the restaurant.
Seated inside the bar was not the usual proprietress, who often dressed in ancient attire and primped herself to perfection, but rather a girl with a round face and a bit of baby fat, who seemed to be the same girl who had served him and Zhu Shanshan last time.
"Hello, how many?"
She asked, looking up.
"I’m looking for your boss, or the lady boss," Yang Fan said.
"Oh, what do you need with our boss? She’s upstairs," the girl said with a polite smile.
Yang Fan signaled with the item in his hand, "She asked me to bring something over."
"Then you can go straight up, it’s on the third floor, the first room on the right," the girl said.
"Alright, thank you."
Carrying the Thunderstruck Wood, Yang Fan headed upstairs.
The store had only three floors in total; the second floor was for private rooms, and the third floor seemed to be where Fan Sisi and the staff lived.
Yang Fan approached the first room on the right on the third floor and was about to knock when he suddenly heard a series of strange noises inside, as if some vigorous activity was taking place, with faint moans and groans echoing incessantly.
"Uh..."
Yang Fan hesitated for a moment, feeling like knocking at this time might interrupt someone’s good time.
"Forget it, let’s wait a bit longer."
Muttering to himself, he leaned against the window in the hallway and stood there.
Judging by the sounds, it seemed like Fan Sisi was being dealt with quite intensely, and his knocking might really kill the mood.
It was just too bad that such a tender piece of "cabbage" might have been devoured by some lucky fellow.
Yang Fan’s wait turned into more than an hour, and he grew so bored that he felt like he was almost going bald.
Could they really last this long?
What was most outrageous was that during that hour, Fan Sisi’s screams of pleasure remained incredibly high-pitched, clearly indicating she was being vigorously entertained. Yang Fan himself, when casually putting in the effort, could also last about an hour. But maintaining such high intensity, he would find it a bit tricky—barely managing to scrape through around an hour.
The guy inside was simply a beast.
Didn’t he know how to be gentle with the ladies at all? With this kind of exertion, Fan Sisi must be swollen by now, right?
Looking at her delicate and frail demeanor, she didn’t seem like a woman who could withstand much.
As the sky gradually darkened, Yang Fan looked at the time and decided to wait another twenty minutes.
If these two didn’t finish by then, he would knock on the door.
But twenty minutes later, the screams from the room were still as intense, as if she were dying.
Yang Fan couldn’t care less by this point; he still had to go home in the evening, and he couldn’t afford to keep waiting here.
Knock, knock, knock!
He knocked on the door, and the cooing sounds inside immediately stopped.
After a brief moment, faint footsteps approached, and then the door swung open to reveal Fan Sisi’s tranquil and graceful face. There was no sweat, no flushed cheeks, and even her clothes were neatly put on. However, her expression seemed slightly unnatural, a bit flustered.
Yang Fan was a bit stunned.
Could she really recover that quickly?
Just moments ago, she was screaming her lungs out, as if on the brink of death, and now she was all fine?
Amazing!
"Oh, it’s you?" Fan Sisi saw Yang Fan and appeared surprised.
Yang Fan smiled faintly, "I’ve come to bring you the Thunderstruck Wood."
"You’ve brought it already? Please, come in!" Fan Sisi said eagerly.
Yang Fan stepped past her into the room, swiftly scanning Fan Sisi’s living space.
The room was small: a row of sofas, a desk, some green plants, and that was all.
There was no big, burly man as Yang Fan had imagined. The room was clean, without even the slightest unusual odor.
What was that commotion all about?
The place didn’t look large enough to hide someone.
Yang Fan had a rough idea now.
Probably what he had been waiting nearly two hours for was the sound of a pornographic film, not Fan Sisi.
"If I had known there was nobody, I would have knocked earlier. You made me wait almost two hours for nothing," said Yang Fan with a wry smile.
Fan Sisi paused, a faint natural blush spreading across her fair, tender cheeks, "Were you outside the door all this time?"
"Not the whole time, about two hours or so," said Yang Fan with a mix of laughter and tears, "I was about to knock, but then I heard some rather strange sounds and decided against it. Little did I know that you weren’t busy doing what I thought you were, but that instead."
