Chapter 245: Chapter 245: The Girl’s Curiosity

Yang Fan was quite worn out last night.

What time he and Pan Xiaoxia fell asleep, he had no idea.

It seemed to be almost dawn anyway.

Staying up late for such activities, he didn’t know whether he was too sleepy or too tired, but he slept without knowing anything.

All he remembered was that the two of them had started while taking a bath together.

The supposedly unmoved Pan Xiaoxia clearly got a bit touched; she was incredibly proactive all night long.

Whenever Yang Fan told her to do something on her own she would, and she followed through with every request, trying all sorts of tricks.

They went at it back and forth at least four or five times, leaving Yang Fan with a somewhat sore back.

Later, Yang Fan remembered that they were chatting, and then they just trailed off.

He must have fallen asleep at that point.

Lying in bed and reflecting on last night’s events, Yang Fan suddenly realized Pan Xiaoxia wasn’t there.

Ran off?

Yang Fan couldn’t help but feel astonished.

After all that, why would she run away now?

He looked around and noticed Pan Xiaoxia’s bag was still on the table.

Yang Fan was relieved, figuring she must have gone out for some reason.

He had just finished washing up when Pan Xiaoxia came back, carrying two breakfasts in her hands.

"Did you go out for breakfast? I just woke up and didn’t see you, thought you ran away," said Yang Fan with a chuckle, then noticed Pan Xiaoxia walking oddly, "What’s wrong with your leg?"

"You have the nerve to ask!" Pan Xiaoxia immediately became shy and annoyed, "Who could endure your torture of five times in one night? Each time lasting at least an hour. You were at it with me nearly seven or eight hours last night; I think being able to move now is quite awesome."

"You made me really want to run away, but then I thought about it, you can’t possibly torment me like this every day, so I came back and even grabbed breakfast for you on the way; eat up."

Yang Fan smiled sheepishly, "Who told you to be so irresistible? I just couldn’t help myself!"

"As if you’ve never seen a woman before," Pan Xiaoxia glanced at him and scolded with a shake of her head, "Eat up, the four hundred yuan for the room might be a bit pricey, but their breakfast is really good."

"From the hotel?"

"Yeah."

Yang Fan sat down at the table, took a bite of the pizza, and suddenly remembered something serious, "Xiao Pan, how about you supply me with goods from now on?"

"Still going to buy Codonopsis?" Pan Xiaoxia was a bit surprised.

"That matter has ended, I mean on a regular basis," Yang Fan said, "Anything related to medicinal herbs is fine. The price I give you should be about the same as what you get from those big purchasers in the market."

"There’s nothing wrong with that, as long as the price is right, it doesn’t matter who I sell to," Pan Xiaoxia said, "But, considering our physical relationship, I might let you make an extra yuan or two."

"There’s no need for that," Yang Fan waved his hand to refuse Pan Xiaoxia’s kind offer, "Although my pricing follows the market’s, sometimes it differs."

"Never mind then, good intentions taken for ingratitude," Pan Xiaoxia pouted, "We’ll be in touch, and I’ll give you priority when supplying."

"If I need those few herbs, I will notify you well in advance to buy in large quantities. Without notification, you just go on as usual," Yang Fan said.

"Okay."

Yang Fan had been thinking about this last night, but they got too carried away, and he forgot.

Given the price Old Zhou is giving him, it’s definitely no problem for him to develop a few more suppliers.

Although he won’t make much from each of them, it adds up over time.

After breakfast, they went their separate ways.

Pan Xiaoxia took a ride back to Sifang Town and continued to run her store.

Meanwhile, Yang Fan needed to return to Xin’an Town to scout his own turf.

But before that, he had to make a trip home first.

He hadn’t been home in three days.

After retrieving his auto-rickshaw from Old Zhou, Yang Fan drove back to the village.

At the entrance of the house, Yang Yuan was gnawing on a cucumber, staring motionlessly at the vegetable garden behind the house as if she were a statue waiting for her husband to return from sea.

Even as Yang Fan parked the rickshaw right next to her, she didn’t divert her gaze.

"What are you looking at?" Yang Fan asked curiously.

"Oh, brother, you’re back, quick, look, the rooster and the hen are fighting," Yang Yuan said excitedly.

Her eyes remained fixed the whole time.

Yang Fan thought there was some significant event occurring.

"What’s so interesting about that? Isn’t that pretty common?"

"It’s my first time seeing it," Yang Yuan said, her eyes sparkling as she watched the rooster and hen fight in the vegetable garden, and then asked softly, "Brother, is it that roosters and hens lay eggs through the same method as humans?"

"Of course!" Yang Fan said.

Yang Yuan’s delicate face suddenly turned red, and she stammered, "But then why can’t I see their... movements? I’ve been watching without even blinking, but I can’t catch that movement."

Yang Fan’s jaw nearly hit the ground and it felt impossible to lift it back up.

His sister’s point of observation was indeed unique!

"With so many feathers on a chicken, what can you see? Besides, chickens are definitely different from humans. If you want to discover the truth, I suggest you part their feathers and study it, then you will surely see how they do it," Yang Fan said with an amused smile.

"But why would a young girl in the bloom of youth like you study such a thing?"

"I’m curious. I haven’t eaten pork or seen pigs run, so it’s okay to watch and learn about chickens, right?" Yang Yuan said, blushing and muttering, "It’s like traveling thousands of miles and gaining thousands of miles of insight."

Yang Fan nodded; her unique way of gaining insights was indeed unique.

"If you want to study, I’ll find you some of those educational films one day, and you can study them at your leisure."

"I don’t want that, I can watch chickens, but humans... no," Yang Yuan said shyly, then panicked and fled into the house.

Yang Fan parked the auto-rickshaw and also entered the house afterward.

As soon as he stepped through the second doorway, the rich aroma of food wafted into his nostrils.

Although he had just had breakfast, it didn’t change the fact that it was now noon.

After a night of great fun, he had woken up past ten o’clock; his breakfast had in fact turned into lunch.

"Fanzi, come here a moment!"

Zhou Wenhui’s head popped out from the kitchen window, calling out loudly.

"Oh."

Yang Fan walked over.

In the kitchen, Little Mother was at the helm stir-frying dishes while his sister-in-law sat by the stove tending the fire. Her silhouette was graceful, and her plump buttocks resembled a ripe pear, firmly catching Yang Fan’s attention.

"Fanzi, did the deal go through?" Little Mother asked, glancing sideways.

Yang Fan nodded, "It did. I plan to go to the town this afternoon to see if there are any suitable shops to rent."

"Planning on opening a store?" Ye Tong asked in surprise.

"I feel like I’m quite familiar with the surrounding villages and towns now, and with this opportunity, I think it’s time to try something," Yang Fan said seriously. "I’ve done some rough calculations, and if there are losses, it would be the rent. Other than that, it’s not much different from before."
