Chapter 228: Chapter 228: The Unreasonable Cuckold
Yang Fan was completely unraveling.
What the hell was this all about?
Out of nowhere, he’d gotten entangled in this mess.
Seeing that Cao Wang was impervious, he was convinced Yang Fan had slept with his wife.
While on guard with a knife, Yang Fan quickly pulled out his cellphone and dialed the police.
"You still have the nerve to call the police, fuck you!" Cao Wang roared and suddenly charged at him.
Yang Fan held up the phone and turned to bolt.
Now that he could move freely and still had the weapon in hand, he was not afraid of this guy.
But he dared not continue fighting.
The two stabs he had just inflicted were not light; Cao Wang’s legs were almost soaked in blood. He feared it might lead to a fatality if he continued.
"Hello, I’m calling to report a murder... in Sifang Town... specifically, I don’t know exactly. I came here to collect herbs, in a store, and a lunatic stormed in and started stabbing. You better hurry, otherwise, it’s either him or me dead."
"Don’t ask for the exact location, I really don’t know, I’m running toward the street, hurry!"
Yang Fan kept running and calling, with Cao Wang chasing him like a mad bear relentlessly.
In no time at all, the two of them had battled their way onto the street.
"Old Cao, what are you doing?"
Some familiar folks saw the scene and shouted loudly.
Cao Wang’s face was ferocious like a demon, and he yelled, "This son of a bitch cuckolded me and stabbed me!"
"Fuck! Guys, quick, quick, stop that kid!"
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged men who had been watching chess outside the store became instantly agitated and hoarsely shouted.
At his shout, the people playing chess no longer continued, throwing down their pieces and chasing after Yang Fan.
Yang Fan looked back and his eyes twitched in fright.
Damn it, aren’t you all being unreasonable!
I’m the victim here.
Yang Fan quickly quickened his pace, frantically dashing forward.
Suddenly, he noticed a deep blue sign not far ahead—police station.
Seeing the sign brightened Yang Fan’s eyes, and he quickly turned into that alley, rushing into the large yard of the police station.
In the yard, a police car was parked, and a few officers were about to get in.
Seeing Yang Fan dashing in, wielding a dagger, the officers’ eyes twitched, and they immediately drew their batons, shouting, "Stop, drop the weapon!"
Realizing the situation was bad, Yang Fan threw the dagger away and shouted, "I’m here to report a crime!"
"Was that you who just called the cops?" an officer asked suspiciously.
Yang Fan took a couple of quick breaths and, pointing toward the door of the police station, said, "It’s unreasonable, utterly unreasonable! They stormed in, started stabbing, and even slandered me, rallying a whole crowd to attack and shout for my blood. You all, see to it. I need to rest a moment!"
The officers couldn’t help but look at each other.
Soon they split into two groups: two surrounded Yang Fan on his left and right, while the others headed to the entrance.
Clearly, they didn’t believe Yang Fan’s side of the story and wanted to keep an eye on him.
Yang Fan didn’t care about them and just lay down in the yard.
He had almost sprinted here, and now his chest felt like it was on fire.
"Uncles, could you get me some water? My throat is on fire," said Yang Fan.
A police officer about Yang Fan’s age twitched his mouth and squinted at Yang Fan before walking away.
The other one asked with a stern face, "You say he tried to kill you, so why is the knife in your hand, and you don’t have any wounds?"
"Police uncle, if someone tries to stab you, wouldn’t you resist?" Yang Fan asked, speechless.
The officer nodded.
"That’s just it. The knife is in my hand. If I really wanted to kill someone, would I run all the way here for safety? I had plenty of chances to hurt him just now. But when I resisted and grabbed the knife, I accidentally stabbed him in the leg twice. I was afraid it would be fatal!"
"Damn it, I’ve never seen someone so unreasonable. Worried about his wife interacting with men, couldn’t he just lock her up? Anyone walks in, and he thinks something’s going on with his wife. Comes in swinging a knife—I was so shocked, I even started to wonder if something did happen between me and his wife."
Yang Fan cursed out loud.
The officer, massaging his temples with a pained expression, asked, "You injured someone?"
"Police uncle, you can’t blame this on me, can you? His wife saw everything clearly," Yang Fan suddenly sat up. "That guy charged in like a bear, slapped his wife to the ground, then tackled me down, pressed me, and pulled out a knife, ready to stab me in the neck like he was slaughtering a pig!"
"Given the situation then, if I didn’t resist, I wouldn’t be alive talking to you now! You can’t just blame the victim here, right? I had no grievances with him, and I didn’t sleep with his wife. He tried to kill me right off the bat, is there any justice in that?"
The officer waved his hand, "Okay, okay, calm down. If it really was self-defense, you’ll definitely be fine!"
"I should be fine anyway. I took a beating for no reason, got chased around like a dog, shouldn’t he compensate me for medical expenses, lost wages, mental anguish, damage to my reputation ... and so on?" Yang Fan demanded, eyes wide.
The officer’s expression stiffened, "Even if what you’re saying is true, it’s probably not going to cover that many categories of compensation."
"Then I’m going to sue him to death. He’s bullying too much!" Yang Fan said angrily.
Just then, the police officer who had left earlier brought a cup of water to Yang Fan, while at the same time, noisy commotion arose at the door of the station, clearly signaling the arrival of Cao Wang and others.
Yang Fan downed the water in one gulp and swiftly jumped out, picking up the small knife again.
"What are you doing?"
Both officers almost exclaimed in unison.
Yang Fan said earnestly, "I’m afraid you can’t protect me; that man is truly mad, won’t let anyone speak a word."
"Put it down!" ordered one officer, "Let us handle this, don’t get worked up."
"I’m not getting worked up, I’m afraid he will," Yang Fan said. Although he said so, he put down the knife.
Waving knives around in the station really did seem inappropriate.
Not long after, the commotion at the station door died down, and Cao Wang and his wife were escorted in by several officers, with no others in sight—they must have been persuaded to leave.
Even though flanked by two officers, the murderous look on Cao Wang’s face remained unchanged.
At the sight of Yang Fan, he harshly shouted, "You bastard, I’ll kill you sooner or later!"
"Your grandpa, come on then, you’re really sick, aren’t you?" Yang Fan shouted back, not backing down.
Yang Fan was really puzzled, whether he had a bad fate with such people?
No sooner had Wang Tianbao and Tian Gaofei quieted down than he ran into this.
"Everyone, stay calm!" The officer beside Yang Fan shouted, "Brother, come with us to make a statement."
