Happy Little Farmer -
Chapter 183: Ruthless Person
Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Ruthless Person
A woman and a man entered the private room, one after the other.
After they came in, the multi-colored lights were switched to normal white light.
In the brightness, the disarray in the room looked even more chaotic.
The air was filled with the smell of alcohol, blood, and the scent released by men and women clapping for love.
Seeing these two people, Yang Fan knew the main characters had arrived.
He silently sat back down and casually picked up the high bar stool he had thrown away.
Originally, he thought the man was the boss here, but the woman holding a small bottle of white wine, with evenly-cut short hair, and round glittering earrings, sat down next to Yang Fan.
Meanwhile, the muscular man with taut facial muscles stood with his arms crossed by his belly to the side.
The woman appeared to be not the least bit worried that Yang Fan might suddenly attack her. Their distance was less than half a meter. If she moved a bit closer, they would be touching.
The woman looked him over with scrutiny in her eyes, suddenly snatched the cigarette from Yang Fan’s mouth with her slender fingers, and placed it between her blood-red, glossy lips.
Yang Fan was taken aback, somewhat confused.
What’s with this snatching of the cigarette from the tiger’s mouth?
However, this woman had a quite strong presence.
Blowing a light ring of smoke, the woman pointed around and asked, "Can you tell me what caused this?"
"Someone was bullying through power, I couldn’t just sit and wait for death, so it turned out like this," Yang Fan said in a muffled voice.
The woman crossed her legs elegantly, cigarette held stylishly, and nodded slightly, asking, "Then why didn’t you kill them?"
"Murder and looting isn’t my style, I’m just an honest farmer. If others don’t bully me, I don’t want to cause trouble," Yang Fan said.
"Since my place has opened, there has never been such a mess like this. You need to give me an explanation," the woman said indifferently.
"Can’t give you one!" Yang Fan’s answer was succinct and forceful.
What explanation could he give? He really couldn’t.
The corners of the woman’s lips curled up in a slight smile, "Are you always this straightforward?"
"It’s not about being straightforward, it’s that I really can’t offer one," Yang Fan said.
The woman pointed at Brother Leopard, whose bloody head had fallen into the liquor, and asked indifferently, "Do you know who he is?"
"A rotten person!" Yang Fan said.
The woman suddenly laughed out loud, bending forward and back with laughter, her chest bouncing vigorously.
"He is indeed a rotten person, lending usury, seducing young girls, intimidating students, extorting foreigners, and so on. The evil deeds he’s committed are too numerous to record, even I can’t keep count," the woman said, "But despite all that, he’s someone I can’t afford to provoke. If something happens to him here, I have to give an explanation to others, so you owe me an explanation too."
"He will seek me out; it probably won’t involve you," Yang Fan said earnestly.
The woman shook her head, "But others might not act according to your assumptions."
"You don’t need to beat around the bush with me, just say it directly, what do you want me to do?" Yang Fan raised his voice and said.
"Come work for me," the woman turned and looked at Yang Fan.
In her eyes was a hint of mischief, and her bright red lips slightly parted as she exhaled a puff of smoke toward Yang Fan’s face.
Yang Fan didn’t expect such an answer; he waved his hand and asked in surprise, "Why?"
"I really need someone tough like you right now, no other reason," the woman said with a faint smile.
But her smile, in Yang Fan’s eyes, looked more like a cat playing with a mouse.
"I’ll choose the second option," Yang Fan stated decidedly.
The woman shook her head, "There’s no second option. You only have this one choice. Either work for me, or I’ll beat you half to death and throw you into the Xinjiang River to feed the turtles."
Yang Fan gripped the bar stool in his hand tightly and slowly raised his head to look at the expressionless, burly man.
"This son of a bitch looks like he might be tough to beat."
But getting involved with this woman clearly wasn’t anything decent, and nine times out of ten, he would end up like Brother Leopard.
This thought disgusted him even more.
Forget it, just get away first.
As soon as Yang Fan thought this, he suddenly sprang into action.
As he threw the bar stool at the man, he also leapt toward the woman.
He landed on top of the woman, clamped his hand around her neck, and ripped open her blouse in one swift motion.
He didn’t have any lustful thoughts about doing anything to the woman at this moment; he just wanted to restrict her movements to deal with the man, creating a chance for himself to escape.
Everything happened so quickly that it left all the onlookers stunned.
The burly man had just dodged the bar stool thrown by Yang Fan. Turning back and seeing this scene, he quickly turned his head away again.
He didn’t rush to stop Yang Fan.
And the woman seemed pretty nonchalant as well.
Despite being straddled and nearly naked, she even had the leisure to slowly take a drag of her cigarette and then blew the smoke into Yang Fan’s face.
"Like what you see?" the woman asked with a light laugh.
Yang Fan, looking clueless, glanced down, and indeed, she was quite a sight.
Probably because of the heat, the woman wasn’t wearing a bra, just two thin pads.
The two breasts looked pale and perky, quite alluring.
"Ease up a bit. If you dare leave a mark on my neck, I really will kill you," the woman spoke very calmly.
But Yang Fan was not calm at all.
The reactions of these two were too composed, as if they completely ignored him.
Nevertheless, he loosened his grip slightly and also pulled up the torn shirt a bit.
"Think about it, I’ll pay you ten thousand a month," the woman said again.
Yang Fan shook his head firmly, "If you have the ability, throw me to Xinjiang. But asking me to do this, I can’t do it."
"So stubborn," the woman commented with a chuckle and a shake of her head. "Fine then, you can go."
Yang Fan was startled. Why did this woman seem to play by no rules at all?
"Are you sure?" At this point, Yang Fan was really anxious.
They had talked much, yet he hadn’t figured out this woman’s purpose at all.
"Sure. I can’t really throw you to Xinjiang, can I? In this day and age, you can’t do that sort of thing. It’s just to scare people, so go ahead," the woman said casually, waving her hand.
Yang Fan looked at the burly man warily, then slowly moved away from the woman, and without any hesitation, turned around and walked away — whether he lived or died, it would be better to make a run for it first.
After all, he was just a man with a head on his shoulders; if she really had the guts, she could try to kill him.
Yang Fan wasn’t scared easily, except by those in power. To people like these from the underworld, he didn’t have much to fear; worst case scenario, he’d fight them to death.
After Yang Fan left the private room, the burly man asked in a low voice, "So we’re really letting him go like that?"
"I wasn’t planning on making it tough for him. Just having a bit of fun," the woman said as she covered her snowy neckline with her hand, her mouth curving into an indifferent smile. "Now, take Mr. Wang to the hospital quickly, and while you’re at it, take over whatever places he has that we can. Make an anonymous tip-off too. The little bastard actually dared to poach in my territory, I was just looking for a reason to be pissed at him, but he wrecked himself first."
"This little brother did me a big favor today. Otherwise, I would have had to dirty my clean hands."
"Oh..."
