Chapter 459: Chapter 277: Ark Stowaway, Sea Emperor Dragon_2
"I am not hiding from you, I am just worried about your Great Angel Leader. According to the agreement, we should go to Heaven together with her."
Even when caught by the local lord, the immortal bird couldn’t stop stuffing its little cheeks, eating voraciously as if it was famine.
"Is there such an agreement? She hasn’t told me about you sneaking away."
Noah couldn’t believe the Ark hadn’t noticed some passengers missing, but since Ophelia hadn’t contacted him, it meant that even if some passengers were missing, it wasn’t an issue for her. Heaven didn’t care,
"And, we? How many of you have sneaked away in total? Besides you, who else is there?"
The creatures sheltered by the Ark had survived an Abyss invasion and managed to live in a world on the brink of being shattered, so there were basically no ordinary beings left.
Similar to the immortal bird, beings of legend weren’t that rare; it was just by chance that Noah encountered one when he boarded the Ark.
"Not many, just two."
"Where are they?"
Noah asked directly. What else could mingle with the immortal bird Xiya besides legendary races? Moreover, given their special status, if they wanted to hide, it would be difficult for Noah to find them.
This is why, as the Great Lord, Noah didn’t know how many hidden residents were in his territory. If a legend wants to hide, it’s hard to find them unless they stand right in front of you, where Noah could recognize them at a glance.
"They..."
When asked about the companions who sneaked off the Ark with her, Xiya became hesitant, her eyes wandering, seemingly trying to change the subject.
"I won’t send you back. As long as you like, you can stay in my territory for as long as you want."
Seeing the immortal bird in front of him, caught but still not putting down its food, Noah understood her intention.
Heaven might be nice, the Divine dwell within it, served by the Divine Race, a Holy Land where numerous worldly professionals who yearn for light and justice wish to visit in their lifetime.
But Heaven is too far removed, lacking many of the flavors only found in the secular world. Even native creatures in Heaven like to roam the Material Realm, feeling freer and more unique there.
"Really?"
"Have you ever seen a Golden Dragon lie? Besides, as a Lord, why would I refuse a beautiful and noble immortal bird as a resident?"
Noah’s two rhetorical questions immediately dispelled Xiya’s worries. She displayed a silly smile that did not match her elegant and noble appearance, dropped the big bone in her hand, and wiped the grease off the corner of her mouth,
"I’ll take you to find them."
Even though Noah was well prepared, when he saw the creatures who fled the Ark with the immortal bird, he couldn’t help but be taken aback.
Because there were two aquatic beings, from an attribute perspective, they were completely opposed and counteracted the immortal bird. But as fellow migrants from one realm, they seemed to have long ignored this minor innate rivalry and got along very well.
"Sir Noah, you may not be aware of my existence, but back on the Ark, I once admired your courageous battle stance from afar. Today marks our first formal meeting."
The one conversing with Noah was a highly rare and ancient Deep Sea Dragon Species surfacing from the ocean. Most of the Dragon Clan were unaware of this Dragon Species’ existence. It did not belong to the True Dragon Species, but its racial bloodline was only slightly inferior to the Golden Dragon and comparable to the Red Dragon.
Sea Emperor Dragon
A fully grown Sea Emperor Dragon is the undisputed ruler of the deep sea abyss. It inhabits the deep sea because it prefers to be active underwater, building its palace and nest in the sea abyss.
"So, the calm near the shore is due to your arrival."
Looking at the Ancient Dragon below, stirring up the ocean and creating endless waves, Noah couldn’t help but reflect. He initially thought it was the influence of the Ark.
This was a snake-like Ancient Dragon with a form very similar to the traditional Golden Dragon. Without the need to soar in the sky, its Dragon Wings had evolved into fins for swimming in the deep sea, resembling the fan-shaped Dragon Wings of traditional Golden Dragons.
Purely in terms of appearance, some imaginative scholars might consider this deep-sea species a close relative of the Golden Dragon or a special subspecies evolved due to ecological changes.
Indeed, such a possibility exists because Golden Dragons, though fire-attributed, are quite fond of water, and it is not surprising that an unknown subspecies might evolve from this habit that most Dragons are unaware of.
However, it might also result from a Golden Dragon crossbreeding with a deep-sea creature, as many Dragon subspecies resulted from such couplings.
The prosperity of multiverse species owes much to the Dragons, especially in creation. In terms of reproduction and creation, the Dragons deserve the highest credit.
Of course, it could merely be a primordial Dragon Species with an appearance similar to the Dragon Clan. But regardless of the reason, the fact that they are Dragons remains undisputed.
The Sea Emperor Dragon is a relatively amiable Dragon Clan, getting along well with any Bronze Dragon it happens to encounter, and even offering assistance to help Bronze Dragons build nests and establish underwater territories.
"We like this ocean and plan to settle here!"
Responding to Noah was not the Sea Emperor Dragon churning on the sea surface, but another deep-sea dominator, a Domination Ancient Orca, which had left the Ark together with the Sea Emperor Dragon, an equally extremely rare primordial Giant Beast race.
If not for the plane’s destruction, neither the immortal bird, nor the Sea Emperor Dragon and the Domination Ancient Orca residing in the deep sea, these legendary creatures would appear in the public eye. They excel at marking territory and thriving independently.
The powerful abilities granted by their racial lineage also mean that in specific regions, no one dares provoke them, becoming a presence eagerly flattered by the surroundings. The order they construct around themselves is as long-lasting as their lifespan.
"As the Lord of this ocean, I welcome your arrival!"
Noah displayed his friendly demeanor. However, the Golden Dragon’s declaration, to these two deep-sea dominators from another world, didn’t seem friendly. It was clearly proclaiming territorial sovereignty to them.
"Is this ocean also within your territorial range?"
The Sea Emperor Dragon, Paquyre, questioned Noah’s claim.
"Of course, my Favored have already built a harbor for me on the coast. My loyal subjects sail across this ocean, so it naturally falls under my domain."
Noah declared matter-of-factly. These two ancient races with bloodlines tracing back millions of years had chosen a settlement point just off the East Coast.
The fact that it wasn’t the deep sea meant these creatures were likely just adapting to the environment and observing the situation after coming off the Ark.
The deep seas of the Material Plane, teeming with life, have never been a no-owner land. Immigrants migrating from other planes wanting to claim the ocean had to ask permission from the original inhabitants.
"Does your servant and vassal’s voyage there make it your territory?"
The Domination Ancient Orca was equally surprised by Noah’s assertiveness and expressed doubt.
"Is there a problem with that? Even before your arrival, they were already sailing across this ocean. So, naturally, it falls under my rule."
Noah didn’t see any issue. Despite the daunting journey, influenced by the Divine leading to expanded territories from Harbor City to the Holy Dragon Land’s most prosperous frontier, nearly two thousand kilometers of barbaric wilderness and forest lying in between, Noah wouldn’t yield any step in the fight for ocean sovereignty.
