Chapter 451: Chapter 273 Lord of Radiance Descends_2

Even the most generous Divines only occasionally bless their devout followers, merely relieving them of minor ailments, without bringing any qualitative leap or improvement to their life’s essence or quality of living.

In contrast, the life aura emitted by Noah as an Ancestor Dragon Species assimilates all living beings residing within a certain range, allowing them to personally experience changes in their bodies.

This is much quicker and more direct than worshiping the Divine. Once dragonification occurs, it marks the beginning of an essential transformation of life essence, akin to the legendary divine grace for many ordinary people who have no hope of stepping onto the Extraordinary Path.

Thus, it’s understandable why the permanent residents of Elisium City worship the Holy Dragon. Not only have they tangibly felt its blessings, but under the influence of dragonification, they have an instinctive attachment and desire to follow the Sect Master at the end of their bloodline.

"A truly remarkable Holy Dragon!"

A faint golden human silhouette stood in the suburbs of Elisium City, flanked by housing for laborers working in the city.

Though this residential area is considered to be in the city’s worst location, chosen only by those focused on earning money, its living environment is not poor. Everything is well-equipped, from greenery and sewage systems to public playgrounds for children.

This laborer’s exclusive housing area would likely devolve into a dirty and chaotic slum in other regions, but under the Holy Dragon’s rule, it’s surprisingly livable, deemed as high-end housing of some remote, backward small towns, even surpassing them.

However, the dim golden figure in the laborer housing area wasn’t marveling at its living conditions but rather its gaze was drawn to Elisium City sprawled on the ground in the distance, like an ancient giant beast never seen before.

Nor was it the sheer magnitude of the nearly ten-million-populated super metropolis that amazed him, but rather, he saw what mortals could not.

It was streams crisscrossing in the sky above the city, eventually converging into a torrent, pouring into the mountains behind this city as Power of Faith.

Such a grand and relatively pure Power of Faith was what astonished him.

This was indeed the foundation of Divine Enthronement.

Anyone witnessing this would not believe that the ruler who orchestrated and built all this had no intentions of Divine Enthronement.

Especially on this land, where his name is chanted everywhere, and statues and sculptures of him are ubiquitous.

"What a pity it’s a Dragon!"

The dim golden silhouette sighed deeply, voice tinged with great regret,

"If it were human, how wonderful it would be."

Curiously, this silhouette casually wandering in the laborer’s residential area seemed not to exist at all, even though people constantly passed by in this densely populated area, no one noticed its presence.

"Hmm!"

With limited projected strength, although certain things were confirmed, the golden silhouette, after pondering a moment while gazing at the radiant, prosperous city in the distance, decided to enter,

"I’ll go wherever my path takes me."

The inside and outside of the city felt like completely different worlds, the most evident difference being Elisium’s urban architecture pursuing height, or in other words, building tall structures as much as possible within the same area to accommodate more residents.

This indeed caters to merchants’ pursuit of profit, but is also meant to expose more people to the life aura assimilation from Holy Dragon Noah.

"Stooping to be mongrel Dragon Descendants, how foolish!"

Upon entering the city, neither the towering skyscrapers nor the fairies flitting through the sky and the urban transport system providing great travel convenience garnered the golden silhouette’s admiration. It surveyed the majority of residents with delicate dragon scales gracing their faces, its tone laced with undisguised loathing,

"Now you relish the life aura assimilation of the Dragon. When the bloodline degenerates, and you see your descendants turn into ugly lizard reptiles, there’ll be no use regretting!"

The golden silhouette showed no amazement at Elisium’s prosperity or the magic-guided transportation tools already serving mortals. Instead, it scorned the residents evident with dragonific features.

Even if some Dragon Descendants weren’t initially humans but were derived from Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, or Gnomes of humanoid tribes, it scathingly criticized them too.

"Those guys should really be brought down here to witness what their mortal kin has been debased into!"

Throughout its journey, the golden silhouette hurled sharp remarks and criticisms, freely wandering and strolling throughout the city.

Fortunately, no one could see or hear its words, or any rumor spreading within a small scope would surely provoke public outrage, making being mobbed a given, though the result of the mobbing wasn’t guaranteed.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, the golden glow dimmed, and the silhouette, seeming ready to dissipate, glanced furtively at the end of the street. It was a park providing citizens an activity area, where it sensed some familiar aura. There, a presence noticed its existence and directed its gaze there.

"Intriguing!"

Thus, the golden silhouette stepped forward, quickly entering the small park. Such public areas were ubiquitous in the city, hardly surprising, thus also containing a not-unusual Golden Dragon Statue, a large Dragon lying silhouette.

When the golden silhouette approached the Golden Dragon Statue, the statue surprisingly came to life, its eyes bursting forth brilliant gold radiance, yet this anomaly was equally unseen by all, a private exchange visible only to the participating entities.

"I never would have thought my city could attract such a distinguished guest like you!"

A sense from Noah looking at the dim golden silhouette before him genuinely lamented.

"You, have no divinity?"

While Noah assessed the golden silhouette on the verge of dissolution, the latter similarly examined Noah, his opening statement causing Noah momentarily to be stunned, uncertain of how to respond.

"Of course, I possess no divinity. Is that so peculiar?"

"How can you lack divinity?"

The golden silhouette’s tone disclosed an inherent incredulity, as if witnessing something beyond comprehension.

"Why must I possess divinity?"

Noah equally found it profoundly odd.

"Aren’t you the Sealing God Dragon?"

"No, I have no interest in becoming a Divine."

Facing a Divine who descended, wandering his territory, eventually caught, Noah sincerely declared.

"...I haven’t heard such arrogant words in ages."

The neutral assessment left the golden silhouette silently pensive for a moment before exhaling, this in-effect dismissing all Divines.

"I merely refuse to be bound, enjoying unencumbered freedom."

Hearing the Lord’s remark, Noah felt compelled to reiterate.

"Then how did you accomplish this?"

The golden silhouette lifted its hand, pointing to Noah, its voice revealing vast astonishment and deep curiosity.

"You mean projecting my will onto a statue?"

"And the control and use of the Power of Faith with no divinity, how can you perceive and manipulate it?"

This was the golden silhouette’s greatest bewilderment, since its irrationality was akin to waterborne fish leaping onto land, walking with their tails, and building a fire for warmth.

"You could consider it a spell exclusive to myself."
