Chapter 231: Aftermath

Chapter 231: Aftermath

Huevas retracted his hands, removing his Aura from the battlefield completely. The titanic lotus’ disappeared, their white Aura slowly fading into the air. He slowly floated down toward Reana.

The young woman was stunned, but she was still able to speak through her awe: "The winner... Tyr Evolion..."

On hearing this from the screen back in the arena, Race and Suyo were the first to both rise to their feet with excitement. They had large grins tearing across their faces as their teeth showed brightly.

With wide eyes, they both gripped the railing in front of them as hard as they could and exclaimed:

"Hahaha!"

"Yes! I knew you could do it!"

On hearing their celebrations, the rest of the crowd--those who were still okay to move and didn’t feel nauseous from the devastating feeling of doom just moments prior--rose to their feet in an eruption of cheers.

What happened today was certainly not what anyone was expecting. Those expectations were blown to smithereens. Nevertheless, no one regretted seeing this today.

To call this fight entertaining wouldn’t hardly do it justice. Thrill, fear, excitement. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but most of all, it gave everyone a true respect for these fighters.

With a snap of his wrist, Huevas appeared before Tyr down below. Tyr had stopped stepping on Crimson’s chest. Instead, he was carrying the young man’s body.

"You’re strong." Tyr exclaimed, glancing at Huevas. Huevas automatically understood what Tyr had in mind. In another motion, all three were teleported back into the center of the arena--as was Reana shortly after.

Huevas grabbed the unconscious body of Crimson. At that moment, Kepl screamed out: "HEY!" He had tears flowing down his face.

Huevas and Tyr glanced over, as did many in the crowd.

"Tell me... has he died?" Kepl said, sniffling slightly. Despite them only knowing each other for a number of years, he and Crimson had become great friends.

Sure, it was slightly embarrassing to cry here. But hell... who cares at this point? For all Kepl knew, his friend was dead. The tone in which Kepl spoke hinted that he already believed that Crimson had died.

Who wouldn’t? On no planet did Crimson look alive right now. But, Kepl wasn’t going to give up on him, even if he HAD died. He first had to get the confirmation...

"He’s battered..." Huevas said in an almost fatherly voice, pausing.

As soon as Kepl heard this, he inhaled several times sharply like a crying child before biting his bottom lip and crying into his arm.

"So..." He spoke in a broken voice, sobbing in between. But these weren’t sad tears anymore, "He’s okay." He said, smiling as he cried.

Huevas also smiled lightly, "He will live."

Tyr looked down at his body. It felt like he finally remembered that he had a thing called a body after a while. The adrenaline had subsided, and the excruciating pain of broken limbs and other injuries clawed at him harshly.

With a deep breath, he manually laid down on the ground, "I’m too tired..." and fell asleep.

Tyr slept for a couple of days straight. His body and brain had undergone an immense amount of trauma, so he had to heal from that.

In these days, Hanzo, Malon, and Noa all came to understand what had happened in the Immortal Peak. The fight was everywhere, marketed as if it was a pay-per-view.

Seeing Tyr again was delightful for everyone. It was a reminder of why they had come here. It was for Tyr, after all. For the journey of Judgement.

Currently, Tyr was inside of the cultivation chamber again. It was the first place he went after waking up. This past fight was a great achievement for him. He now knew that he could beat people who were above level 1000 with Ares.

All of those kings back in Ainsveld were now in his category of opponents. However, due to his nature, he wasn’t satisfied. During the past months, all he wanted to do was get stronger.

And for the past weeks, he had wanted to crack this damn Chaos Veil Sutra.

Right now, Tyr had a large grin stretching over his face.

"Oh... it makes sense." He said to himself, "I am stupid for not understanding this before... It’s complicated, but also extremely simple at the same time."

He had unlocked the Chaos Veil Sutra...

"Yes... the symbol. It all makes sense. And the theory I have behind it is somewhat realistic. Still, I will only confirm it in the future it seems."

He closed his eyes, "Now, it’s time to cultivate this bad boy."

His cultivation almost immediately began. He faced the planet-sized monster. However, instead of being threatened by it, he felt as though he was in control of it.

He wasn’t taking over the beast’s free will or anything like that. It was more so like he was riding a horse. Giving it its own respect, but also commanding it.

He understood that he still didn’t have much dominion, or much knowledge at all about this beast. But it seemed that was on purpose.

He would have to cultivate this technique further to understand it more.

The beast moved, devouring large masses of Aura. Tyr couldn’t detect what these Aura masses were, but he wasn’t going to complain.

Since his crows were also cultivating for him, he was gaining a giant mass of Aura every second. However, the crows weren’t exactly comparable to the Aura he was gaining from this Chaos Veil Sutra.

Right now, Tyr was in a trance. This was the most focused he had ever been while cultivating. This technique made him completely forget about the real world and the five senses.

All he could feel was the technique, and nothing else going on around him.

Abruptly, he was shaken awake. A voice in the distance quickly approached nearer to his ears:

"Tyr....Tyr..... TYR!"

Tyr’s eyelids flew open. He looked around, seeing Arin in front of him. He looked up, seeing the sky above.

"Huh? Why is the roof open?"

Arin didn’t hesitate to reply: "Roof!? There is no building anymore either! You have consumed everything!"
