Crimson smiled, walking forward menacingly. Out of nowhere, a blast of Aura exploded out of him and thrust through Tyr.
Those closeby could even feel Crimson’s bloodlust. It was quite frightening, leaving a slight smell of lingering blood in the air from the future death that it was insinuating.
Those in the lower standings even felt some chills.
’Full Golden Body.’
As a golden flame erupted at his glabella, all of those negative feels within Tyr instantly disappeared from reality.
’Level 820 huh... he’s certainly a lot stronger than me. I will feel his power first before making any big moves.’ He darted forward, unsheathing his spear.
Crimson furrowed his brows, ’Seriously?’ He disappeared into thin air at that moment.
Tyr’s eyelids expanded, his feet quickly halting as he turned on his heel and held his spear in front of him horizontally.
*CLANG*
Crimson’s fist slammed against Tyr’s spear, releasing a bright, pinkish flame in the collision--similar to a spark of ember.
Tyr was pushed back several feet from the power, even having to roll backwards on the ground in order to not fall onto his back.
Crimson stepped forward, but this time, Tyr was the one to have already disappeared in the perspective of the major crowd.
’Blink Step.’
Tyr appeared behind Crimson, shocking the crowd. They had not expected Tyr to match Crimson’s speed, but Tyr was really attempting to beat the monster at his own game.
Without hesitation, Tyr slashed his spear at Crimson’s back. Just before it made contact, Crimson reached over his shoulder and grabbed the spearhead.
This was another surpring moment for the crowd. They had not seen Tyr travel at all, his speed remarkable. Yet, Crimson seemed to have seen the entire thing...
’My Blink Step isn’t fast enough for him?’ Tyr mused, a bit surprised. He looked at where Crimson’s grasp was.
Tyr furrowed his eyebrows, ’He grabbed the blade? I’ll just slice his fingers off then!’ He pushed his spear swiftly.
However, the weapon did not budge. Just as fast as Tyr realized this, he was pulled inwards.
Crimson let go of the spear, grabbing Tyr by the neck.
The grip was tight and fearsome. Tyr had never felt anything like this before in battle.
Crimson stared into Tyr’s eyes, "Stop playing around!" He sounded mad, "I want to see why you were chosen by the Fire Dragon! Why are you worthy of being king!?"
Crimson slammed the young man into the ground with a loud bang. Dust flew up like a tornado as the crowd gasped.
In the dust, the sillhouette of Crimson reached his fist back and unleashed it into Tyr was on his back.
The crowd was taken aback by this domination, and now were worried of the worst possbility.
Tyr saw the punch was if it was in slow motion for a second. Not because it was slow, but because he felt the tension in the air and the stakes at play.
’He’s... really trying to kill me!’ Tyr said to himself for a second before thinking, ’But... you’ve left the spear in my hand.’
Tyr placed his left hand above his belly. ’Transfer.’ The spear from his right hand disappeared, summoning in his left as Crimson was swerving down to hit him.
The spear summoned almost instnatly. Crimson was taken aback as he saw the weapon, quickly backing away but catching a slight scratch on his chest, causing him to take a few more steps back.
Tyr immediately stood up, jumping several feet away.
The wound on Crimson’s chest was suddenly enveloped in a small pink flame which left within seconds--instantly healing the wound.
Tyr raised a brow, ’What type of monster... am I going up against here?’
*ERROR*
As Arin smirked, Huevas’ gaze swept across the entire stadium, glancing at the different powerful Faction Elders, branch Captains, and other strong individuals.
"For the same reason all of these people are present." Huevas said before pausing, "No matter how powerful Tyr has gotten... he will lose this fight." His tone was cold.
Arin didn’t say anything, letting the Vice-Grandmaster continue:
"There is no shame in it. It will be a learning experience for someone who needs it. But no matter how you look at it, Tyr will not be able to defeat that natural born monster, Crimson."
"Greetings, everyone!" A female voice rang throughout the arena at that moment.
Arin glanced at Huevas, ’He still hasn’t told me the direct reason as to why he is here...’
A holographic screen the size of a house appeared in mid-air above the arena, where Reana’s face was broadcasted to everyone.
"I am Reana Golda! For this fight, I will be calling out the names of the competitors!" Reana exclaimed with a grin.
Her voice looked to be powered by some sort of Aura, allowing it to be heard loud and clear all across.
The crowd cheered her on, clearly appreciating the girl.
"Whoo!! She’s that new news girl right?"
"Isn’t she the one who interviewed Crimson?"
"She’s new to this faction, yet she’s already climbed the ranks... good for her!"
"Thank you for making this fight official!"
Reana chuckled at this noise and replied quickly, "Now without further ado, let’s get on with the fight!"
The crowd cheered again.
"The first person to come out is none other than the Natural Born Monster! The ruler of the Immortal Peak, King Of Section A, and the likely favorite to win this fight... CRIMSON MATHAR!"
As the crowd’s cheers erupted, walked out of one of the many tunnels in the side walls of the arena.
The walls were 30 feet in height, and the tunnel hallways were close to 15 feet.
Crimson was dressed in his usual fight attire. It was a pair of loose pants and no shoes, along with a completely naked upper body.
Kepl kept a close gaze on Crimson. His eyes narrowed, ’This is how Crimson likes to fight. He has nothing to hide. Everything is exposed, and he uses his sheer might to defeat his opponents.’
Crimson’s revealed body was ripped. It was red and vascular, with the strips of his muscle striations rippling throughout as if his body was an ocean of muscle.
He had a serious gaze, his eyebrows scrunched inwards and his eyes locked forward.
"Next, the one who is called a Natural Born Genius by every instructor in this facility, and even his own opponent, the Dragon Tamer hailing from the south and the underdog going into this fight... TYR EVOLION!"
The crowd went ballistic to see Tyr’s face.
Many people weren’t from the Immortal Peak, and even those who were had rarely seen the popular young man’s face.
He was more than just a celebrity, and even with those types of people, crowds tended to go nuts.
Tyr slowly walked out of his tunnel, his gaze first sweeping through the crowd above.
’Noisy...’ He mused, ’We didn’t have to do all this bullshit... but I guess it’s all worth it since I get to fight someone who really is a challenge.’ He looked at Crimson with a slight smile on his face.
Crimson’s eyes widened as he saw this.
Tyr wore his normal attire. A loose-fitting dark robe that flowed down his body and baggy black pants.
The crowd began to quiet down, sitting at the edge of their seats. Royals and nobles honed into the two fighters. Captains and Faction figures stood with their guards held high.
A spark of electricity bolted throughout the stadium, the anticipation boiling to its tipping point.
"FIGHT!" Reana exclaimed as the crowd roared once again.
The fight had begun, and yet, not a single fighter moved an inch.
Crimson narrowed his gaze onto Tyr, "Everything is as it usually is. A hidden figure attempting to win with hidden powers..."
Tyr raised a brow, "Are you saying that to calm your nerves?" He taunted.
’I might as well have fun here... this won’t happen too often.’ Tyr mused.
Crimson grunted, "Keep trying your tactics... speech won’t win you fights."
Tyr was a bit confused by what Crimson was insinuating, ’Is he trying to say that I will attempt to win by using underhanded, hidden tactics? That must have been what his other opponents did... after all, everyone knows he’s a ’natural born monster.’
At that moment, Tyr’s gaze swept through the crowd, ’Everyone...’ He realized something, making him scoff slightly with amusement.
’Oh... I see. Not just him, or his past opponents, but everyone already expects me to fight with hidden methods. No wonder they labeled me as a genius out of everything. The whole build up to this fight has been monster versus genius. According to Reana, I am the underdog.’
For a moment, it was interesting. Then, it kind of pissed Tyr off.
"Bud," Tyr grabbed his robe, "This is just a style choice. Don’t take it to mean anything."
The crowd was filled with confused expressions as they heard this.
Tyr ripped his robe off at that moment, also revealing his upper body.
A wave of gasps rippled across the arena. Important figures raised brows and commonfolk furrowed them with surprise.
Tyr’s body was not to be considered a joke either. It easily rivaled that of Crimsons, and potentially even outdid it.
The vascularity and leanness, along with athletic, dense muscle tissue in
