GOD OF ALL SYSTEMS -
Chapter 215 - 215: The Desolate Realm 2: The Conquest Begins
The overwhelming suction of the Desolate Tunnel faded as Patrick and his group emerged into the true expanse of the Desolate Realm. The chaotic darkness of the tunnel dissolved into a blinding light, and as their vision cleared, the sheer magnitude of their new surroundings unfolded before them.
They found themselves suspended in a boundless void where the very fabric of space seemed malleable. Hundreds of billions of floating domains, each rivaling the size of galaxies, drifted through a shimmering sea of multicolored energy. Some landmasses teemed with alien flora, their vibrant hues pulsing with an otherworldly vitality, while others lay desolate, their surfaces marred by the scars of ancient conflicts. Towering ruins of long-forgotten civilizations dotted the landscape, their crumbling spires and shattered halls whispering tales of the mighty beings who had once reigned here.
Above, the "sky" was a breathtaking tapestry of ever-shifting colors—nebulae swirled in cosmic dances, their hues bleeding into one another, while streams of pure energy flowed like rivers, weaving ethereal bridges between the domains. The air thrummed with a palpable power, each breath a surge of invigoration laced with the weight of countless battles fought across eons. This was the Desolate Realm, a battlefield forged for gods, a crucible where strength was both tested and claimed.
Patrick surveyed the realm with an unwavering gaze, his hands behind him and his silver hair glinting in the ambient light. His cape billowed gently, stirred by an unseen force, and Limitless, his staff, pulsed with an unending omni-energy, its obsidian surface streaked with veins of gold. Around him, his group—Athena, Anna, Thalia, Elaine, Raleigh, the Thousand Primates, and the three hundred Transcended Omni Droids (TODs)—hovered in perfect formation, their combined auras a symphony of cosmic might.
"The Desolate Realm," Patrick said, his voice steady yet tinged with anticipation."
Athena, her crystalline crimson infinite-symbol eyes sweeping the horizon, nodded. "The energy here is raw, untamed. It's unlike the other realms we've encountered. And the Heavenly Laws and Daos here are less restrictive, almost non-existent."
Anna surveyed the scene, her omni senses reaching out to the realm's mystical currents. "There seems to be countless ancient powerhouses in this realm, chaos gods, divine existences, and even… hmm, now that's interesting. To think they are also here."
Thalia maintained her impassive expression, her hands sparking with omni energy. "The more the merrier."
Elaine remained silent, her gaze locked on a distant domain where flashes of light pierced the void. "A realm with endless battles. Isn't this a sight of entertainment..."
Patrick hovered with an uninterested gaze as he side-glanced the galaxy-sized floating landmass of a domain.
With a mere thought, he drifted forward, his group trailing in seamless unity. They soared through the energy streams, the TODs and Primates forming a vigilant perimeter as they descended toward the domain.
…
As they approached the floating landmass, the cacophony of battle grew louder. Explosions of energy illuminated the sky, and the metallic clang of weapons reverberated through the void. Patrick's group alighted on a high ridge, their vantage point offering a clear view of the chaos below.
Two factions clashed in a brutal struggle. One side consisted of draconic beings, their scales shimmering in a spectrum of colors—crimson, emerald, sapphire—wielding weapons wreathed in flame and lightning. The other was a ragtag coalition of diverse races, united under a banner emblazoned with a stylized eye.
The draconic warriors were fewer in number but radiated immense individual power, their attacks carving swathes through the enemy ranks. Yet the coalition countered with overwhelming numbers and cunning tactics, pressing their advantage with relentless ferocity.
Patrick observed the scene with a dispassionate eye, his mind already dissecting the combatants. With a mere glance, Grace provided every piece of information about everyone in the scene, that's not accounting for his omniscient senses, residing in the past, present, and future simultaneously.
"It seems the draconic ones are subordinates of the Ancient Chaos Dragons I wiped out in the tunnel. The others… a union of lesser factions, banded together for survival."
"Their coordination is impressive, but they lack the dragons' raw might. Despite their numbers, they will lose this battle." Being the Goddess of Wisdom, Warcraft, and more, not including her already incomprehensible existence as an Omni Queen, Athena nodded and casually calculated the victor within the instant of a glance.
A sudden roar shattered the air when a massive dragon, larger than its kin, unleashed a torrent of searing energy from its maw. The blast incinerated hundreds of thousands of coalition fighters in an instant, leaving a smoking crater in its wake. The enemy lines faltered, but "Do not fear, their numbers are falling; they only have one Heavenly King realm," their leaders barked orders, rallying their forces with grim determination.
With hundreds of thousands of the coalition's forces incinerated, their bodies turned into faint golden energies as they swayed towards the massive dragon, its draconic scales shimmering with vitality and power as it absorbed the fates and powers of its enemies.
The feature of the Desolate Realm was showing its effects, where the victor absorbs half of the felled enemy's powers and fate.
Patrick's eyes dulled as he stared at the Heavenly King realm dragon, its body possessing two large wings covering tens of miles of its surroundings.
"Hmm, the Desolate Realm, with the victors only getting half of their fallen enemy's experience, there is an existence getting the other half. And despite being birthed from the Desolate Realm, the Cultivation Universe 2341 doesn't possess such advancing features; this could only mean the Cosmic Law of Leveling in the Desolate Realm is a byproduct of a higher existence, someone with access to greater knowledge… and throughout totality, there are but one thing with access to everything, Systems."
"Astute analysis, Master. Then again, you created an Absolute True Omniscient and Absolute True Omnipotent Existence like me. But yes, this Desolate Realm is indeed being governed by a system wielder. As for how strong they are, well, that's irrelevant anyway.
"Hmm…that makes this trip ten times more interesting," Patrick interacted with Grace, a smirk appearing on his face as he observed the battle below.
Suddenly, Raleigh drifted forward, his voice steady. "What is your will, your Primordial Highness?"
Patrick remained silent, staring at the combatant uninterestingly. He then spoke,
"The dual concepts of good and evil have been erased in the Desolate Realm, so killing indiscriminately here would leave zero emotions of guilt, not that it mattered in the first place. There are no good or evil here, only the strong and the weak, and since I came to conquer the Desolate Realm and all existences in it, why not start now…"
"Your will is my destiny, your Primordial Godship." Raleigh bowed, his figure shifting back below the four Omni Queens.
Down below, the battle intensified, the coalition gaining ground through sheer numbers and strategic maneuvering. They herded the draconic warriors into a narrow valley, where concealed traps and ambushes sprang to life. Explosive runes detonated, and hidden archers unleashed volleys of energy-laced arrows.
The draconic leader, sensing the snare, first grinned maniacally before roaring in dragon tongue, "All dragonkin, embrace the ambush," his command, bellowing the valley as his warriors tightened their ranks, their combined energy forming a shimmering barrier against the onslaught. All odds seemed stacked against them; defeat loomed on the horizon, or so it seemed.
The leaders of the coalition became brazen and daring as they launched relentless assaults against the dragon kinsmen, their groups numbering in the hundreds of billions, gaining a boost in morale against the tens of billions of dragon kinsmen. The leaders of the alliance group, with hundreds of thousands being in the Heaven Realm, and hundreds of millions being in the Saint Ancestor realm and below, launched combined attacks at the Heavenly King realm dragon leader, keeping him occupied while their numbering advantage in forces overwhelmed the forces of the dragonkin.
But then, "You think the mere likes of you can overwhelm me, an Ancient Dragon? How delusional can you be!" The dragon leader generated an enormous wave of blackish red draconic energy from its belly as it unleashed an incinerating wave of draconic blast at the leaders. But already calculated his attack, the alliance leaders scattered, escaping the dragon's breath.
Upon seeing the leaders scattering, the Heavenly King realm dragon leader redirected his dragon blast below and aimed at the forces of the alliance. His dragon blast descended on the alliance forces like a tribulation of blazing blackish red flames from the heavens.
"Attack him; he aims to reduce our forces and advance to a full-fledged Heavenly King realm. It would be impossible to stop him as a 4th Dimensional Being then!" Among the leaders, a white lion race bellowed, his large outstretched claws slashing energy attacks at the dragon, tearing through space like paper.
The other leaders, knowing the threat of the dragon leader solidifying his realm and becoming a 4th-dimensional existence, also launched at the dragon with numerous attacks. The sky over the scene was stacked with hundreds of millions, even in the billions of Daos, Laws, and even life and time devouring attacks, all a desperate attempt to prevent the ancient dragon general from becoming a full-fledged Heavenly King realm.
For context, Saints, all up to Saint Ancestors, are the highest existences within the 3rd dimension of the Universes. The current Immortal Realm and Cosmos are all within the 3rd dimension. As for the Heaven Realm and above, they exist beyond the 3rd dimension, but not all of them are fully ascended 4th-dimensional beings. Only a full-fledged Heavenly King realm Peak stage and above is considered a 4th-dimensional existence.
Knowing this, one can empathize with why the alliance leaders are this desperate and eager to detain the ancient dragon leader from breaking through to the peak Heavenly King realm. As the power and capabilities of a 4th-dimensional being are something even higher-dimensional beings, like the readers, would acknowledge as "not bad."
The alliance leaders were inches away from landing their attacks at the dragon leader when suddenly, an overwhelming wave of draconic energy erupted from the dragon leader, piercing the clouds and causing the sky to assume a blackish red visage. Time glitched and even reality wobbled for a brief instant before returning to normal. A peak Heavenly King realm, a 4th-dimensional being, has been born.
Below, the sudden glitching of time and wobbling reality halted the battle between the two opposing forces as they all felt the overwhelming force of a 4th-dimensional dragon descend upon them. The mere presence of a being of such caliber instantly pulverized more than half of the alliance forces, an endless wave of golden glows rising and drifting towards the dragon leader, as if his ascent to a 4th-dimensional being wasn't already demoralizing enough.
"This… Hahaha! General Sagrak has leveled up, hahaha. Our dragon race now has an additional full-fledged Heavenly King realm."
"The gods of our Ancient Dragon Race are indeed watching over us! This Desolate Domain will soon be ours to conquer!"
The dragon kinsmen bellowed chants of praise and pride as they felt more invigorated.
The instant pulverization of more than half of the alliance forces cleaved all hope and zeal in the wills and hearts of the remaining alliance forces; even the alliance leaders shivered with dread and despair as they stared ahead with disbelieving gazes.
…
In the skies, over everything, Patrick's group observed the battle. The TODs and Primates all maintained unreactive faces as they hovered below the six leading figures, the TODs in a formation with straight arms, and the Primates with folded arms.
"It appears the Ancient Dragons will soon rule this Desolate Domain. Gods of the Ancient Dragon race are about to become more powerful compared to their counterparts," Thalia said. Her lazy gaze rested on the ancient dragon general.
Listening to his wife, Patrick, with a bored expression, glanced at the ancient dragon general, his eyes seeing past the physical nature of existence and seeing his fate and destiny directly.
"Not that it will even happen…"
…
"Hahaha, you delusional fools!? Leading us into the valley only made it easier to target your forces. Lesser races would always be pathetic, even in IQ, regardless of your numbers."
Suddenly, from within the swirling clouds, the ancient dragon general's voice echoed, his now final stage Heavenly King realm aura overwhelming everyone in the scene, especially the alliance leaders. Then, with a forceful outspread of its wings, the ancient dragon general erupted with a thick blackish red energy more potent than the last, his dragon form now transformed into a humanoid appearance.
He hovered eleven feet tall, a single horn attached to his fore skull wrapped over his head, his tail long as his height, and his wings doubling in length.
Seeing the ancient dragon general, the alliance leaders all hesitated this time, no one as daring and brazen as before. Beads of sweat even dripped from their faces as they stared at the ancient dragon general with dread and panic.
Looking at the alliance leaders, the ancient dragon general smirked as he sensed fear and despair swelling in the hearts of his enemies. This fact encouraged his arrogance to intensify even more. Other than that, his perspective changed completely, now capable of perceiving all of space-time simultaneously. He could even see the lines of fate attached to the consciousnesses of every creature in the scene.
'So this is the power of the 4th dimension… I am a god looking at these 3rd-dimensional things. I can alter their lives and fates with but a thought. Let's see first how amplified my abilities are.'
The ancient dragon general thought as he stretched out his left hand; this action sent waves of alarm in the souls of the alliance leaders, their fates preordained. But before relishing his newly attained realm, the ancient dragon general paused, his attention shifting in the sky above him.
'Hmm?! As a 4th-dimensional existence, I should be omniscient of my surroundings. I can sense everything around, except for that section of the sky. It's as if there is something there blocking my perception.'
'Could there be other 4th-dimensional beings here? Not that it matters if there are; as a 4th-dimensional existence, my soul is immortal and that of a god. But let's see the future to calculate every possibility just to be safe.'
'Hmm?! What does this mean, my future… I don't have a future past today?'
While the dragon leader questioned his calculations, the scene suddenly went deathly silent. Like the erasure of sound and life, no wind, no permeating desolate energy, and all cancellation of every activated ability, Laws, and Daos.
Following after the deathly silence was the instant clearing of the sky, the dark and swirling clouds, the looming desolate energy, all cleared from a single spot in the sky, like clapping away dust.
…
Then,
Like Gods, Patrick, Athena, Anna, Thalia, Elaine, Raleigh, and the rest steadily descended onto the battlefield, their omni auras instantly clearing all forms of energy and killing intents from the scene. Even the ancient chaotic, desolate energy permeating the Desolate Realm cleared from their path.
"Humans?!"
Both sides of the forces voiced confusion as they stared at the group above.
'Hmm? Their leader… he doesn't seem to be a perceivable existence. I see him, yet I don't feel his presence. It's like he is an illusion. The same goes for the rest of the group. Are they of higher realms of existence than I am? And do they have something to do with me not existing past today?
The human gods couldn't have broken the Desolate Treaty and have decided to invade our Beast Desolate Domain, could they? But then again, there's no way other Desolate Domain entities can enter another's Desolate Domain without the notice of the respective Desolate Domain god of that invaded domain, which means if these people are outsiders invading our Beast Desolate Domain, then our Desolate Domain god is aware already. Let's probe them first.'
"Greetings, ascended celestials-
Before the ancient dragon general could finish the sentence, Patrick was already hovering before him, his sudden action cutting off the ancient dragon general.
"An ancient dragon faking cordiality… how contradictory of your nature!" Patrick said, his tone impassive. He then stretched his hand and casually grabbed the ancient dragon general's horn, his action befitting of his nature of doing whatever he pleases.
The ancient dragon general and everyone else at the scene had disbelieving faces, their cultivated consciousnesses raging with alarms, witnessing the shocking event.
The fact that made the silver-haired man's actions seem reality-shattering itself was that the person's horn he just causally grabbed like a toy was the horn of an ancient dragon, a race known for their might and pride across countless dimensions and realities. And to make matters even belief-erasing, that same ancient dragon is a full-fledged Heavenly King realm existence, and a recorded fourth-dimensional existence. One must truly be of a higher existence to fully grasp the severity of the present situation.
The leaders of the coalition all dreaded as they looked at the silver-haired man; the fact that their presence alone erased and cancelled every ability, Law, and Dao in the scene made their existence infinitely overbearing.
'That, I didn't sense the slightest ripple in space, not even the Desolate energy rippled when he moved. Just what level of existence is he?'
'This, could he be one of the human Desolate Domain gods' avatars?'
'The fact that there is another god's avatar in our Desolate Domain means there's about to be another Desolate Domain war. We best not draw his attention.'
In the distance, Patrick lazily inspected the ancient dragon general, the ancient dragon general incapable of even controlling a thought as he hovered there, frozen like a statue.
"You only have one horn, making you a lesser ancient dragon, unlike the three-horned ancient chaos dragon's avatar… Nevertheless, a kill is a kill."
Patrick said as he knocked on the ancient dragon general's head, instantly shattering his horn and sending him crashing into the desolate earth, obliterating the earth for at least a hundred million miles, wiping out all forces from both sides.
Sounds of destruction and mayhem reverberated throughout the scene, loud cries of agony ringing in the minds and hearts of the alliance leaders as they witnessed all of their forces annihilated in an instant, their existences turning into golden glows as they drifted towards the silver-haired man.
Watching the energy glows drifting towards him, Patrick held out his right palm as the tiny energy glows simultaneously merged, turning into a massive energy ball the size of a planet, Earth 101 to be exact. Steadily resting on his palm, the golden glow suddenly turned dark gold.
"I am the Ruler of All and Master of Beyond. Rewards and gratuities are but I alone to offer."
~Dissipate~
Finishing his sentence, the massive planet-sized energy ball dissipated from Patrick's palm and into nothingness. Then holding out his left hand, Limitless, his staff glitched in his grasp, turning slightly sideways, he declared,
"Our conquest begins."
Patrick's words sent shivers down the spines of the alliance leaders, but before the group could even digest his words, the alliance leaders noticed the red-haired man among the group suddenly raise his right arm towards them. Their minds raced alarmingly, their eyes widening with absolute despair as they generated thoughts to escape.
But before the group could even develop those thoughts, they felt their consciousness go completely blank and pitch black.
