Chapter 728: Chapter 729 Humanity_1
Hearing the middle-aged man’s words, many people in the car drew a sharp breath of cold air.
Clearly, the Wendong Club was a formidable organization that struck fear into many.
"I don’t care which group you belong to, but you’re the sister of the woman from last night, aren’t you? Call your sister to come over here, kowtow and admit her wrongdoing, and I’ll let you off. Otherwise, you’re coming with me to the police station." Li Changlin was certainly aware that he had fought with Zhou Wendong from the Wendong Club just yesterday.
The kid was at the Middle Threshold Stage, which was fairly impressive.
However, if Li Changlin really wanted to deal with him, he could sort him out with just one hand.
Now, having advanced to the Late Threshold Stage, dealing with Zhou Wendong was even less of an issue!
"Then take me to the police station!" The woman’s face changed slightly, but she soon regained her composure, "At worst I’ll spend a couple of days there; dreaming that my sister would kowtow and apologize to you!"
"Ha, so arrogant even when you’ve done something wrong. Seems like you’ve got connections at the police station if you think you can get out in just a couple of days. But I’m sorry, you stole a turquoise from me worth six million; I reckon you’ll be sitting at the bottom of the jail for a long time!" A mocking smile appeared on the corners of Li Changlin’s mouth.
Trying to outsmart me is way out of your league.
"You, you’re talking nonsense!" The woman’s face changed color; if Li Changlin really had a turquoise worth millions, probably not even the Crown Prince could save her!
"Whether I’m talking nonsense or not, you’ll find out when we get to the police station." Li Changlin smiled indifferently, then grabbed the woman by the shoulders from behind and pulled her onto the bus, "Driver, since there are three thieves on this bus, let’s head to the police station."
"You dare? If you offend the Wendong Club, you won’t be able to get by later on!" Hearing this, the thief holding a dagger immediately glared fiercely at the driver.
"I, I..." Upon hearing this, the driver’s face immediately changed, looking pitifully at Li Changlin.
The Wendong Club was a formidable gang, and if he really took the bus to the police station, he feared severe retaliation.
"Young man, just let them go."
"Yes, that’s right, the Wendong Club is too powerful, you can’t afford to offend them."
"Hey, driver, please open the door, I want to get off."
"Right, right, right, I’m getting off too, I’m getting off too."
"Then I might as well get off too."
Hearing that Li Changlin was going to take three thieves to the police station, many passengers on the bus, wanting to avoid trouble, made requests that left Li Changlin bemused.
However, these matters had nothing to do with him.
If they wanted to get off, then so be it; Li Changlin had no intention of stopping them.
Today, the passengers were choosing to flee because they were afraid of being involved.
One day, if someone steals from them, they would likely receive the same treatment.
The cause sown today would surely bear fruit in the days to come.
Li Changlin was not the slightest bit worried about this.
The passengers asked to get off, and the driver had no way to stop them.
Thus, he opened the doors and let the passengers leave.
Soon, the passengers on the bus disembarked one after another, while those who wanted to get on decided to step back as well.
The corners of Li Changlin’s mouth slightly lifted, revealing a cold smile on his face.
If they left, then let them leave; it didn’t matter.
Even if not a single person testified for him, Li Changlin wouldn’t care.
He had plenty of means to bring the three thieves to justice.
What did come as a slight surprise to him, however, was that the man with the backpack didn’t get off the bus.
Li Changlin took a deep look at him but soon turned his head towards the driver, "Drive, to the police station."
"Little bro, please, please don’t make it hard for me!" The driver blanched with terror upon hearing that.
Had he known these people were from the Wendong Club, he wouldn’t have even turned on the horn earlier, let alone voiced a warning to the man carrying the luggage.
"Fine, let’s just wait here then." The driver was a minor character, and Li Changlin couldn’t be bothered to quibble with him.
So, he took out his cell phone from his pocket, then dialed the emergency number.
Originally, Li Changlin didn’t need to be so serious about this.
But after knowing the girl’s identity, he had made up his mind to bring the gang from last night to justice.
To have offended him and then to even think of seeking revenge.
Once could be overlooked, but damn, they even came a second time.
Such behavior had severely crossed Li Changlin’s bottom line, his reverse scale.
For someone harboring resentment against him, how could Li Changlin possibly let them off.
Bear in mind, he would still often come to Huacheng.
It’s not the thief who steals that’s worrisome, but the one who keeps coveting.
What if these people one day discovered his secret?
Li Changlin knew nothing of the Wendong Club, what if these people really set their sights on him, wouldn’t that also implicate Sky Horse!
Li Changlin would never be so careless.
A man without foresight must have immediate worries; how could he possibly put his career in jeopardy.
After Li Changlin made the emergency call, he then sat down behind the driver’s seat, pulling the girl with him.
Of course, while on the phone, Li Changlin secretly took a few photos and recorded about ten seconds of video of himself and the girl.
The girl, however, did not notice this.
At this moment, her mind was unstable, not paying attention to these matters.
Before long, the sound of police sirens approached, and two police cars swiftly arrived.
Soon, police officers boarded the bus, and upon seeing Li Changlin and the girl, they all wore curious expressions.
Li Changlin stepped forward to explain the situation briefly, and the woman along with the other two companions naturally denied everything.
Then, Li Changlin informed the police about the incident that had occurred at the hotel last night.
A police officer who looked like a leader gave instructions, arranging for personnel to head to the hotel to understand the situation.
"Oh right, they said they were from the Wendong Club, and these two were even ready to make a move on that big brother earlier," Li Changlin’s lips curled up slightly as he suddenly pointed towards the man sitting not far away with his luggage.
By now, the man had taken off his luggage.
When Li Changlin mentioned him, he quickly got up and came over.
The police asked the man if he had lost anything, and he quickly waved his hands and said, "No, no."
"What do you mean by ’no’?" Hearing this, the leading officer suddenly spoke up and asked.
"No one has stolen anything from me." The man shook his head, looking at Li Changlin with a mocking gaze.
"Mr. Li, what do you say?" The officer’s face shifted slightly as he steadfastly looked at Li Changlin.
"Officer, I have something I need to report," suddenly, the driver raised his hand and called out weakly.
"Speak," the officer’s eyes gleamed sharply as he turned towards the driver.
