Chapter 197: Chapter 197: Compression Bandage_1
"I don’t think we used this yesterday!" Li Changlin looked at the rubber tube in the nurse’s hand with a puzzled expression, wondering if she was having another episode, his heart feeling a bit uneasy.
"Yesterday, it took me a few tries to get the needle into the vein, since your veins are a bit thin. I’m thinking of using this rubber tube to tie your wrist, making it easier to insert the needle." Although the injection didn’t feel particularly painful for Li Changlin yesterday, the nurse actually had to put in quite some effort.
Indeed, the veins on the back of Li Changlin’s hands were somewhat thin, not very prominent even when he clenched his fist.
The nurse was also thinking that she shouldn’t cause Li Changlin any pain, so that’s why she chose to use the rubber tube this time.
Li Changlin could understand her reasoning.
However, he was still curious about the rubber tube and couldn’t help but ask, "Beauty, you guys in the medical field don’t really refer to this strip as a rubber tube just like we do, right?"
"Of course not," the nurse secretively glanced at a few patients getting IVs not far away, then bent down slightly, bringing her mouth close to Li Changlin’s ear and whispered, "In medical terms, we call this rubber tube a ’tourniquet’."
"Tourniquet?" Li Changlin’s heart stirred slightly, feeling that this term seemed very familiar.
The nurse’s cheeks turned slightly red as she cast a coquettish glance at Li Changlin, "Does it feel like you’ve heard this name somewhere before?"
"Yeah, yeah, there is indeed a sense of familiarity." Li Changlin nodded repeatedly, still wondering how the nurse could know what he was thinking!
"Are all you men like this?" The nurse’s face grew even redder and she once again brought her mouth close to Li Changlin’s ear, almost hissing, "Tourniquet, Ya Mai Die, don’t all you men like this sort of thing?"
"Tourniquet, Ya Mai Die? Damn, that works too." Li Changlin was mortified, his face suddenly turning red.
He shifted his body slightly, but accidentally brushed against a peak on the nurse’s body.
Suddenly, Li Changlin felt the softness and tenderness, and his whole body began to feel weak.
"Li Changlin, you are so bad, and you still said you were married, were you lying to me?" The nurse felt weak herself and quickly reached out to support Li Changlin’s shoulder.
And at that moment, almost half of her body was leaning on Li Changlin.
Li Changlin felt increasingly restless, and he also felt a burst of heat rising in his abdomen.
But just then, the nurse seemed to be deliberately teasing Li Changlin, as she once again brought her mouth close to his ear and softly cooed, "Ya Mai Die, Ya Mai Die, oh, Ya Mai Die."
This nurse was simply a little demon, clearly intending to tempt Li Changlin.
Her voice was too beguiling, making Li Changlin’s heart flutter in an instant.
Such a bewitching vixen, lamentably disastrous.
Faced with this situation, Li Changlin felt helpless, "I’m telling you, beauty, hurry up and give me the IV; I still have things to do later."
There was no choice; if he didn’t change the subject, Li Changlin was afraid he couldn’t stay composed any longer.
"All right, I’ll stop teasing you," the nurse laughed smugly, then added, "Li Changlin, whatever you need to do, I can do it with you! Is it that kind of thing men and women love to do?"
"I’m asking you, please don’t be so crude, okay?" Li Changlin felt a headache coming on, lines of frustration etching across his forehead. What a disaster, did I neglect to check the almanac before leaving home today?
The nurse playfully stuck out her tongue, and in fact, her face was already flushed to an extreme degree, but because she wanted to leave a deep impression on Li Changlin, she had gone all out.
Even if we can’t be friends, I’m going to make sure you’ll never forget me! The nurse had already made up her mind.
However, worried that she might have gone too far and angered Li Changlin, she refrained from flirting with him further.
Picking up the tourniquet, the nurse deftly tied a slipknot on Li Changlin’s wrist, then gently patted the back of his hand.
Instantly, the veins on the back of Li Changlin’s hand bulged.
The nurse chuckled softly, and then swiftly applied the anesthetic, inserted the needle, and attached the adhesive tape.
Her skilled movements almost dazzled Li Changlin, all her actions seemed to flow in one smooth sequence—it was simply amazing.
If I had known she was this amazing, I wouldn’t have asked about the tubing earlier, Li Changlin regretted, feeling helpless and shaking his head.
Thankfully, the nurse stopped teasing him afterward, and Li Changlin finally let out a sigh of relief.
Yet, the atmosphere in the observation room became somewhat oppressive.
Apart from the obese woman who had quieted her crying, the other patients kept sneaking glances at Li Changlin, making him feel uneasy, as though he were an ant on a hot pan—it was too uncomfortable.
The patients weren’t very familiar with each other at first, but because of Li Changlin, they seemed to have become chatty friends.
The four of them huddled together, whispering among themselves, and occasionally let out a few hee-hee-ha-ha laughs, causing Li Changlin’s skin to crawl.
This is so damn depressing; I swear I’ll never come to the hospital again.
But what’s really annoying is that I have to be on an IV drip again tomorrow.
Ah, it’s all the fault of that darn Charisma Potion, causing me these side effects.
And so, with his head feeling like it was in a tangle, Li Changlin had no choice but to endure the sneaky glances, unable to jump up and curse them out or even walk over to hit them.
I don’t care anymore, let them look, after all, when I’m live streaming, there are hundreds of thousands of people watching me.
What really irritated him was not just their gazes, but their surreptitious discussions about sleazy topics, as if they were plotting something against him.
They don’t even donate a gift, just freely gawking at me, do they really think I’m a zoo animal or what!
Li Changlin didn’t want to stoop to their level, dejectedly pulling out his phone.
He opened the Divine Tycoon Cultivation System, and was immediately thrilled to see that his popularity index had reached over three hundred thousand again.
"Not bad, I get to draw for prizes sixty-eight times." Li Changlin said, quite satisfied, and promptly opened the standard prize draw interface, in good spirits.
This time, Li Changlin was prepared; he no longer had the anxieties of gain and loss.
A lottery is just that, a draw—if you win, it’s your fate, and if you don’t, there’s nothing to complain about. But adding extra to the wager, that’s a must.
