Chapter 576: Chapter 621: Preparing to Set Sail!
Caught off guard!
But Fang Yi instantly withdrew his gaze, his eyes slightly cold, he said, "Qin Xin, what are you doing!"
"Big Brother Fang, I like you."
"Liking someone isn’t done in this way," Fang Yi chided, "Put your clothes on!"
Qin Xin, with a hint of a sob in her voice, said, "But I... can’t think of any other way to make you like me, Big Brother Fang." Her voice was tinged with stubbornness.
Fang Yi sighed softly and, in the end, turned around, meeting Qin Xin’s tear-filled eyes.
"Qin Xin, you’re actually a very good girl. But right now, what’s most important for you is to study. You’re in the prime of your youth; you shouldn’t waste it on this. I’m right here; if you really like me, wait until you’ve finished college, when you feel that you truly have the ability to love someone. It wouldn’t be too late to like me then," he said quietly.
"But what if... you disappear?" Qin Xin hurriedly said.
Fang Yi couldn’t help but laugh, raised his hand, and ruffled Qin Xin’s hair fondly, saying, "Silly goose, Xuan Cang is my root; I won’t disappear."
Qin Xin bit her lip gently, as if testing the waters, she asked, "Then... can I like you?"
"Of course, you can, after all, I’m your big brother," answered Fang Yi.
Big brother?
A bitter taste welled up in Qin Xin’s heart.
Fang Yi left.
Qin Xin’s heart seemed to fly away with him, as if in despair.
But within this despair, a tender new shoot broke through the earth.
...
Life went on as usual, and three days later, Fang Yi received a call from Fang Yuying, telling him to turn on the computer.
Fang Yi knew his elder sister wanted to have a video chat with him. Although it was a headache, he had no choice but to comply, fearing that his fierce elder sister might come looking for him again.
Opening the computer, logging into his message account, just as he logged in, a message from ’Your Mom is a Queen’ burst into view in the bottom right corner, flashing and bouncing. Fang Yi hurriedly clicked on it—it was a video request, which he promptly opened.
"Hi!" Fang Yi greeted quickly.
"Hi, your big head ghost!" In the video, Fang Yuying rolled her eyes.
"I’m greeting you here; don’t be such a downer, okay?" Fang Yi rolled his eyes too.
Fang Yuying softened and said, "Okay, my bad, Secret Master."
Fang Yi lit a cigarette, sat in front of the computer, and took a look at Fang Yuying in the video—her attire was still bold and unrestrained. Fang Yi dared not look too long, fearing a nosebleed.
"Spill it, what’s the big deal?" Fang Yi asked.
"Quite the attitude," Fang Yuying snorted with laughter but showed satisfaction and said, "Was it really you who beat up Fang Jupeng and Lin Zheng?"
"What do you think?" Fang Yi countered.
"That settles it," Fang Yuying clapped her hands in praise, "Well done!"
"Anyway, I’ve managed to take care of two troubles," Fang Yi said.
Fang Yuying stood up, left for a bit, and came back munching on an apple. While eating, she said, "But still, be careful. Recently, someone from the family wanted to cause you trouble in Moon City, but the old man held them back."
The old man referred to the patriarch of the Fang Family.
"I don’t even know that old man; why would he stop people from troubling me? Logically speaking, Fang Jupeng is his son; wouldn’t he be indifferent after his own son was beaten into a vegetative state?"
Fang Yi was somewhat puzzled and unsure.
"Of course not, do you still remember the old man I told you about last time?" Fang Yuying said with an air of mystery.
Of course, he remembered. Even if that old geezer turned to dust, he’d remember him!
"What about him?"
"He came to our house once, had a secret talk with the old man, and no outsiders know what they discussed. But it was right after that meeting, the old man came out and held back the people who were about to go to Moon City."
At this point, Fang Yuying seemed to remember something and asked, "Eh... hey little brother, honestly, do you know that old man?"
Fang Yi’s mouth curled into a sly smile, "You guess."
After saying that, Fang Yi ended the video call, leaving Fang Yuying stomping her feet in frustration.
That very evening, Fang Yi boarded a yacht alone and departed into the vast ocean, eventually finding the small island.
As he approached the shore, someone was already waiting there. As soon as they saw Fang Yi arriving, they hurriedly greeted him.
"Alliance Hierarch." The man was tall and muscular, his body brimming with explosive strength, a scar visible on his face.
"Earth Snake," Fang Yi stepped off the yacht and said, "How have you been holding up lately?"
The man was Earth Snake himself.
As for why the two met here, the reason was simple. After the incident last time, Earth Snake had brought along his remaining subordinates and pledged allegiance to Fang Yi, effectively joining the Dragon Soul Alliance.
Hence, Earth Snake addressed Fang Yi as Alliance Hierarch.
Earth Snake gave a wry smile and said, "Not so great. I’ve been on this little island for so long that I’m practically tasting birds in my mouth."
"Don’t whine to me, you’re quite accustomed to this kind of life." Fang Yi thought for a moment and asked, "How’s the ideological work with your subordinates coming along?"
Earth Snake replied, "Don’t worry, Alliance Hierarch. Since I, Earth Snake, have chosen to follow you, everything’s fine. They’re all willing to follow, through thick and thin, ready to face death unflinchingly."
I don’t believe that for a second!
Fang Yi did not believe that Earth Snake and his subordinates would be ready to face death unflinchingly, but he wouldn’t call them out on it. As long as there were benefits to be had, Fang Yi was confident he could tie Earth Snake firmly to his battleship.
"Good, if that’s the case then have your brothers get ready. We set sail in three days," Fang Yi instructed.
"Three days?"
"Is there a problem?"
"Definitely no problem." Earth Snake was no stranger to the sea and shared, "It’s just that three days seems a tad too long."
"Let’s stick to three days. Keep your phone on; I will contact you at any time. When the time comes, bring the fishing boat to pick up the cargo," Fang Yi reminded.
Afterward, Fang Yi left the small island and headed for the park.
The park was now under strict surveillance, arguably even more challenging to infiltrate than Yunfei Mansion. Not even a fly could buzz around.
The park had been abandoned a long time ago, but had been bought by Shen Binan, making it a private place.
The park was officially announced as under development to avoid unnecessary trouble. After all, there was a gold mine within, and it was best to be cautious.
Fang Yi arrived at the gold mine, and not long after entering, he saw the glimmer of golden light. The place was a hive of activity, clearly indicating that the gold mine had been exploited to some extent.
Fang Yi grabbed a busy young worker and instructed him to call over a few Squad Leaders.
Half an hour later, several people gathered together.
Su Ge’er, Lin Mu, Meng Wei, and Fang Yi – the four of them met up. As for Yang Dingfeng, he had already gone to Lank City to scope things out.
Fang Yi swept his gaze over the three, exuding authority, and spoke in a deep, deliberate tone, "Are you aware of the reason I’ve summoned you all here?"
