Chapter 411: Chapter 441: That’s Not Necessarily the Case

Yang Yingying was shocked beyond measure, and immediately, fear filled her eyes. The fact that the other had come to the mountain alone, and had arrived in the dead of night, clearly indicated a desire to keep their identity secret.

And now that she herself had unexpectedly discovered the other’s identity, she was certain they would kill her to silence her. If the roles were reversed, she would do the same.

Thus, Yang Yingying felt scared. She feared Fang Yi would kill her to cover up his tracks.

"You afraid I’ll kill you to stop you from talking?" Fang Yi suddenly said, his tone icy.

"Yes... no... not at all..." Yang Yingying first nodded, then shook her head.

"Heh heh, don’t worry. You and I have no grudges, I won’t kill you for now," Fang Yi declared.

But that was only for now. Who could say if you might attempt to strike me down later!

Yang Yingying quickly said, "Rest assured, I definitely won’t reveal your identity. I promise I will never divulge your identity. If I do, then I will..."

"Then what?"

"...Whatever you want."

Fang Yi chuckled, "Though your body is tempting, I’m not the sort of man who desires any woman he sees. You have a pill I concocted inside you. If you dare to reveal anything, I guarantee you’ll die bleeding from every orifice."

Such a threat was sufficient. To deal with Yang Yingying, Fang Yi truly had too many methods at his disposal, and judging from her pale complexion, she was already terrified.

Yang Yingying nodded, her face pale. Fang Yi said, "You know this place well. Tell me, where are people most likely to be held captive?"

"That slut..." Yang Yingying started to say reflexively, but upon seeing Fang Yi’s furrowed brow, she quickly corrected herself, "That Bai Jingjing, who is a daughter my mother bore, probably only she knows where she might be held captive."

Fang Yi frowned, then lifted his wrist to glance at his watch. It was already eleven o’clock at night. Though the deep silence of the night was perfect for a probe.

Fang Yi leaned forward slightly, closing in on Yang Yingying. She instinctively stepped back, for Fang Yi’s seemingly smiling expression struck her with fear.

"What... what are you going to do..."

"Tell me, where does your mother live?" Fang Yi commanded with an irresistible authority.

...

After leaving the prison, led by Yang Yingying, they headed straight toward the deepest parts of the Sky Sword Mountain compound.

However, the further they went, the more people they encountered, making it impossible to go any further. If his cover was blown, it would be a fatal blow for Fang Yi; he absolutely could not afford to leave any traces here.

So, in a secluded spot, Fang Yi stopped Yang Yingying.

"How much farther?" Fang Yi asked coldly, suspecting that this girl was up to something.

"Not much further now, it’s just ahead," Yang Yingying said, feigning innocence.

Fang Yi’s brow furrowed. He felt increasingly that something was amiss. At that moment, Yang Yingying subtly edged backward, and Fang Yi’s gaze turned icy, ready to strike.

But just then, a powerful presence filled the air, and an Iron Sword swept forth, forcing Fang Yi to retreat.

An elder stood in front of Yang Yingying, wielding the Iron Sword. At the same time, the area erupted into commotion, and then sounds could be heard as disciples dressed in white quickly emerged, surrounding Fang Yi.

A young man dressed in white stepped forward, shouting, "Fang Yi!"

Fang Yi focused his gaze and recognized the face, somewhat familiar—it was that Wang Yuan.

"There’s no need to shout so loudly, you defeated foe," Fang Yi said with a smile plastered across his face.

Wang Yuan’s face seemed to be viciously slapped by those words. That day in the bar, when he had been defeated by Fang Yi, he could never hold his head up high again. He had been consumed with thoughts of revenge, and now, before him, his opponent dared to address him in such a manner.

Wang Yuan had not anticipated that, surrounded by so many, Fang Yi could still smile—uncertain whether he truly had something to rely on or was merely feigning composure.

Regardless, Wang Yuan had a plan set in his heart. With an elder here and many disciples of the Sky Sword Sect around, even if Fang Yi had wings, he would find escape impossible.

Wang Yuan let out a cold snort, "Go on and be smug, for you won’t be smirking much longer."

Fang Yi still wore a smile, seemingly unfazed by the threat, a display of fortitude that caused the old man to frown. He could see that Fang Yi wasn’t just pretending to be composed; he truly feared nothing.

These Sky Sword Sect disciples were all holding torches, illuminating the area brightly. The elder had his hands clasped behind his back and said, "Will you surrender yourself, or do I have to make my move?"

Wang Yuan’s face lit up with excitement as he stared at Fang Yi, brimming with unbridled triumph. The elder was already an Earth Level fifth stage, on the brink of breaking through to the sixth stage at any moment. With such power, killing Fang Yi would be as easy as crushing an ant.

Under the elder’s oppressive aura, Fang Yi laughed again and then raised his hands, saying, "I can’t beat you; I surrender."

Wang Yuan’s pride swelled even more as he mocked, "Weren’t you so mighty before? To think you would surrender!"

Fang Yi glanced sideways at him and retorted indifferently, "Better to surrender than to be a defeated lackey who doesn’t know he’s already dead."

Wang Yuan’s expression changed drastically, "You!"

"Enough!"

The elder spoke coldly, "Chain this man up with iron chains and take him to the Underground Cold Pond. I want to see just how tough his bones and his temper are."

"Yes!"

Two young disciples immediately approached and bound Fang Yi with iron chains, particularly focusing on his limbs, which were thoroughly secured. Throughout the process, Fang Yi did not resist, fully aware he was outmatched.

Eventually, with the click of a large lock, the chains were secured, and Fang Yi suddenly felt twenty or so pounds heavier.

After seeing that Fang Yi was tied up with iron chains, the elder didn’t linger and, with a snort, turned and left. However, Yang Yingying hesitated before approaching with small, victorious steps, a smile of triumph on her face.

"Hmph! Thought you were so strong, did you? Asking to be beaten!" Yang Yingying raised her hand, ready to strike Fang Yi.

"You should consider the consequences carefully," Fang Yi said, narrowing his eyes slightly, the corners of his mouth lifting into a mocking smile.

Yang Yingying’s hand hovered in mid-air but didn’t dare come down. Remembering the Heart Shattering Pill within him, she grew fearful. Looking at Fang Yi’s still smiling face, Yang Yingying ultimately became afraid and slowly lowered her hand.

But Wang Yuan, unable to contain himself, sneered, "You’re already meat on the chopping board, yet you’re still so insolent. Do you think I, Wang Yuan, am just for show?"

With that, Wang Yuan’s hand whooshed towards Fang Yi’s face.

However, just as Wang Yuan’s palm was about to strike Fang Yi’s cheek, he felt an excruciating pain surging through the top of his foot—his toes felt as if they were being crushed.

"Fang Yi!!!" Wang Yuan bellowed, ready to truly begin the fight.

"Hold on!" Yang Yingying suddenly interjected.

As the Sect Leader’s daughter, even the furious Wang Yuan had to listen, though he retorted discontentedly, "Yingying, why are you stopping me?"

A flicker of panic passed through Yang Yingying’s eyes as she quickly said, "Isn’t he just meat on the chopping board now? There’s no rush. Let’s take him to the Underground Cold Pond first. Then we can take our time tormenting him."

Wang Yuan’s eyes gleamed, and he looked at Fang Yi with a cold smile, "Fang Yi, I will make you wish for death without finding it."

Fang Yi scoffed in response, "We’ll see about that."
