Chapter 401: Chapter 427, Give an Answer

In July, almost every day was scorched by the blazing sun, as if a fiery ball in the sky threatened to crash down on the earth every day before exploding and making the ground unbearably hot.

Fang Yi drove the sports car given to him by Song Pàngzi to a sauna club.

Upon entering, he saw the reception area where a middle-aged madam was cracking melon seeds behind the counter. She didn’t seem particularly enthusiastic when she saw a guest.

"Here for a bath or for the ladies?" the madam asked bluntly.

"I’m undercover," Fang Yi responded straight away.

The madam slowed her seed cracking and lifted her head impatiently, "You’re undercover, and I’m the prosecutor."

Fang Yi couldn’t help but give a thumbs up: "Big sister, you know a lot."

The madam patted her partly exposed, snow-white chest proudly and said, "Of course, back in the day, I..."

"Big sister, I just want to ask you—is the leader of the South Sea Alliance here for a sauna?" Fang Yi quickly interrupted her, sensing that this madam was a significant figure in her day.

"What’s his name?"

"Yang Dingfeng."

"He’s here," the madam lit a cigarette for men, holding it in her hand, and said, "That old pervert, went into the sauna alone and even called for two beauties from Flame City, not afraid of being squeezed dry."

Fang Yi was speechless; this madam indeed had guts, casually defaming a leader of the South Sea Alliance like that. It seemed that these so-called top alliances of Moon City might have a reputation, but they didn’t strike fear into everyone.

With this information, Fang Yi headed straight for the sauna room.

The men coming to the sauna were all brawny guys. As Fang Yi walked through the bathhouse passage, he saw men with their upper bodies bare, wrapped in towels around their waists, most of them covered in tattoos—arms, backs, chests. In essence, they looked just like the gangsters from the movies.

No wonder the madam wasn’t flustered when Fang Yi said he was undercover; everyone here was a gangster. If the authorities ever decided to raid, none would escape. The madam was fearless, as if she had nothing to lose.

Fang Yi arrived at a sauna room door and stood there, soon hearing voices coming through the wooden boards, unable to block out the noise:

"Kang Mang, push harder... oh..."

"Harder... ah... feels so good..."

Unquestionably, those were the accents of two Flame City beauties. Then, a sleazy male voice followed.

"Fuck! There’s no need to guess; this is naturally Yang Dingfeng’s voice."

Fang Yi stood at the door for a while before turning around to go to the changing room to change into a towel, then soaked in the bath outside the sauna room.

While Fang Yi was enjoying the soak, a bespectacled, scholarly-looking middle-aged man crouched next to him and whispered, "Big brother, want some special services?"

Fang Yi thought, When did I become a big brother?

But he soon understood. There were some scars on his back—either from knives or bullets—and on his chest too, all remnants from his time abroad. While Fang Yi looked mild-mannered, the scars on his body were compelling evidence that he was either a big brother or a tough guy.

"What services do you offer?" Fang Yi asked indifferently.

Seeing Fang Yi’s interest, the bespectacled man hurriedly responded, "Big brother, we have all sorts of services. Whatever type you’re looking for, we’ve got—mature women, white-collars, flight attendants, elegant ladies, teachers, you name it."

"I think I want a loli," Fang Yi said jokingly.

"A loli, huh... Okay, big brother, I have a daughter, how about..."

"No need." Fang Yi quickly raised his hand. He dared to sell his own daughter, how influential must this sauna be?

Seeing that there was no deal, the bespectacled man left dispirited, as if not selling his daughter had dealt a significant blow to his life.

At that moment, Fang Yi looked up unintentionally and glimpsed the sauna’s door opening. Two beauties from Flame City sashayed out, causing laughter to erupt continuously from inside.

Fang Yi stood up, wrapped a towel around himself, and then entered the sauna.

Yang Dingfeng was dripping with sweat; even though he was steaming, he’d tired out from his recent activities with the two beauties, evident by the large cigar in his hand as an after-the-fact smoke.

When Fang Yi pushed the door open, Yang Dingfeng didn’t notice him at first. It wasn’t until Fang Yi sat down in a recliner in front of him that Yang Dingfeng suddenly realized and tried to run, almost falling off the chair.

"Alliance Hierarch Yang, I don’t look scary, do I?" Fang Yi said with a grin.

Yang Dingfeng shook his head repeatedly, "Mr. Fang, don’t say that. I, Yang Dingfeng, can guarantee it—on this whole earth, there’s no one who’d dare claim to be handsomer than Mr. Fang."

Fang Yi casually took a cigar from a nearby box, cut it, lit it up, and took a few puffs. "Alliance Hierarch Yang, you’re good at flattering. I appreciate it."

Yang Dingfeng, detecting the irony in Fang Yi’s words, forced a laugh and then asked, "Mr. Fang, may I know why you are here?"

"You guessed it, I’m here for you," Fang Yi said.

Yang Dingfeng’s heart sank, just about to speak, but Fang Yi already continued, "I’ll be upfront—no beating around the bush. Alliance Hierarch Yang, I want your South Sea Alliance to submit to my White Tiger Alliance. Do you agree?"

Yang Dingfeng’s heart sank again, confirming his suspicions that this visit was not for good.

Yang Dingfeng still forced a smile and then, lowering his voice, ventured, "Mr. Fang, I’m not quite catching your drift."

Fang Yi’s lips curled up, "Is that so? Then let me make myself clearer. If the South Sea Alliance does not submit to the White Tiger Alliance, then I can guarantee that within a week, the South Sea Alliance will vanish from Moon City."

Yang Dingfeng’s face instantly turned pale. In the past, he would have scoffed at such a scenario and might have ordered his men to beat Fang Yi up and throw him out.

But now...

In fact, Yang Dingfeng had been secretly following Fang Yi, but had not yet openly declared his stance. His fear was exactly this: if he dared to lead the South Sea Alliance under the White Tiger Alliance, the Bai Family wouldn’t let him off.

"Alliance Hierarch Yang, I know what you’re thinking," Fang Yi said, revealing his thoughts, "Since I dare to say this, I’ve considered the Bai Family. Now that Bai Mingqi is dead, what else is there to fear?"

Yang Dingfeng gave a bitter smile. "But for me to openly submit to the White Tiger Alliance, even without the Bai Family, I’d still be ridiculed by others in the underworld."

Fang Yi chuckled, "Don’t worry, they’ll be just like you."

Yang Dingfeng looked at Fang Yi in shock, wondering how ambitious this man truly was to make such a bold statement.

"Mr. Fang, your ambitions... are too great," Yang Dingfeng said.

"Ambition is necessary to rise above others," Fang Yi said with a slight smile. "Besides your South Sea Alliance and the Vermilion Bird Alliance, I’ll visit the Northeast Alliance and the Big Axe Alliance next—I need an answer, Alliance Hierarch Yang?"
