Fang Yi, standing nearby, broke into a sweat. He patted little Lin Lin on the head and gave her a glare, signaling her not to badmouth him.

Kong Qingci turned to Fang Yi. "Don’t scare the little girl."

Suddenly, something seemed to occur to Kong Qingci. "Right, I remember you don’t get along with Lin Yuanhao. What are you doing at his engagement ceremony?"

Fang Yi shook his head. "The woman getting engaged to Lin Yuanhao once confessed her feelings to me."

Fang Yi trusted Kong Qingci completely—she was a confidant—so he didn’t hide anything and told her the whole story.

After listening, a flash of indignation crossed Kong Qingci’s lovely eyes before she said, "Lin Yuanhao and his spoiled friends are truly shameless, trying to imitate the arrogant sons of affluent families in Tianjing. He had never shown Lin Yuanhao any kindness or lenience.

"What about Lin Mengyan?" Kong Qingci asked, her eyes glinting with mischief.

"Well..." Fang Yi found himself in a difficult position. Causing a scene at the Lin Family would be embarrassing for Lin Mengyan.

"Never mind, I’ll go talk to her," Kong Qingci said with a smile. "That woman has a heart as strong as steel, but since I have some rapport with her, and it seems she doesn’t dislike you, she probably won’t make a fuss."

Fang Yi quickly expressed his gratitude. Unknowingly, Kong Qingci had helped him out once again.

After Kong Qingci left, Fang Yi took little Lin Lin and headed directly into the depths of the Lin Family estate.

Fang Yi raised an eyebrow, his hand lifting swiftly to catch the incoming pentagram dart in a flash.

Fang Yi feigned surprise, "You’re fully grown already? That was quick. You didn’t use a growth accelerator, did you?"

If this had been a street quarrel, Tang Xiaoyu, the young man, truly was no match for Fang Yi, his face alternating between shades of green and white in anger. Fang Yi, ignoring him, strode over to Kong Qingxu.

If you dare lay a hand on me, my sister won’t let you off!"

"I know your sister is here, so don’t worry. Out of respect for your sister, I won’t hit you," Fang Yi said, his eyes narrowing slightly. "But what about that BMW you mentioned? It’s been such a long time, and I haven’t seen even a hair of it."

Kong Qingxu breathed a sigh of relief; when it came to imposing presence, he was not as seasoned as Fang Yi.

Kong Qingxu disdainfully said, "It’s just a BMW. It’s parked outside. Here are the keys!"

As he spoke, Kong Qingxu tossed a key over.

Fang Yi caught it, smiling, "Thanks a bunch."

Swapping a bicycle for a BMW, this was a damn good deal indeed.

Seeing Fang Yi’s grinning face, Kong Qingxu was fuming, "Don’t be so smug, Fang Yi. Hmph, your woman was stolen by someone else, and I’m embarrassed for you."

Fang Yi replied coolly, "Keep acting tough, and see if I don’t mess with your sister too."

Kong Qingxu, as if a cat whose tail had been stepped on, shouted furiously, "You wouldn’t dare!"

Fang Yi said, "If you don’t leave now, I just might."

"You... you’re ruthless! We’ll see about that!"

After dropping his threatening words, Kong Qingci, taking Tang Xiaoyu with him, stormed off in anger.

"Hey." Lin Lin tugged at Fang Yi’s sleeve.

"What?"
