Chapter 293: Chapter 313: Just Convenient

Lin Chen’s burly companion glared furiously but said nothing, suddenly becoming extremely vicious as he charged toward Li Yin.

Li Yin’s lips curled into a cold sneer again.

The crowd around them quickly stepped back to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

Li Yin, appearing thin and frail, showed not a trace of fear against the burly man. Instead, his eyes gleamed with bloodthirsty light, and he even licked his upper lip, exuding an eerie and sinister vibe.

As the burly man approached, Li Yin, holding a pool cue, swung it around.

The burly man’s fist aimed for Li Yin’s face.

Just as the burly man’s fist was about to hit Li Yin’s face, Li Yin gave a cold smile and dodged like a ghost, then leaped onto the pool table. He flipped over, and the pool cue in his hand struck the burly man on the back.

The burly man spat out a mouthful of fresh blood and staggered forward. Li Yin, ghost-like again, closed in and heavily struck the same spot on the burly man’s back where the pool cue had hit.

Puh!

The burly man’s condition worsened as he spat out another mouthful of blood and knelt on the ground.

Among the crowd, Fang Yi’s pupils suddenly constricted as he recognized Li Yin’s move as the Dragon Spin Palm.

Dragon Spin Palm originated from Shaolin, known for its forceful and fierce impact. Fang Yi was also surprised that Li Yin, despite his gaunt appearance, could deliver such a powerful palm strike, mastering it to perfection, which was quite astonishing.

Of course, only Fang Yi recognized it, having seen this martial arts technique in old texts from the elder.

"Damn it!" Lin Chen’s face changed dramatically, consumed with grief and anger, he then looked at Li Yin and roared, "I’ll fight you with all I’ve got!"

Li Yin chuckled, his laughter filled with mockery.

Lin Chen was at Human Level three and had recently advanced to Human Level four, which Fang Yi also noticed.

However, when Lin Chen confronted Li Yin, he was overpowered within a few moves and knocked to the ground.

Lin Chen was knocked down, and Li Yin used the same Dragon Spin Palm, which made Fang Yi deduce that Li Yin was probably around Human Level six or seven.

Fang Yi squinted his eyes slightly. In Moon City, only the Bai Family had such skilled martial artists, but Li Yin’s surname was Li, which made his background puzzling.

"You both have lost, so who’s going to lose a finger?" Li Yin pulled out a dagger.

The crowd was in an uproar, originally thinking Li Yin was just bluffing, but he was serious.

Lin Chen shouted in anger, "You’re going too far! Do you know who we are?"

Li Yin chuckled and said, "Members of the Dragon Team."

Lin Chen’s face changed, surprised that the opponent knew their identities.

"Since you know we’re members of the Dragon Team, how dare you push us like this?"

"Heh, you’re merely in the Blood Dragon Guard. Moreover, my master would be pleased to see me taking action against Dragon Team members," Li Yin said with a smile.

A shock ran through Lin Chen. Could it be that his opponent was from Tianjing?

Otherwise, no one would have the audacity to oppose the Dragon Team.

"Enough talk, leave your finger here." Li Yin pinched the dagger, adjusted his glasses, and said, "Tell me, which finger would you like to lose?"

Lin Chen was furious; naturally, he didn’t want to lose any, but the vast difference in their capabilities left him helpless.

Li Yin let out a cold laugh, suddenly pinning down one of Lin Chen’s hands, spreading his fingers on the ground.

Shoop!

The sharp dagger aimed for one of Lin Chen’s fingers, about to pierce through.

But just at that moment, a figure flashed out from the crowd, reached out, and grabbed the dagger.

Li Yin’s brow furrowed suddenly, and a sullen look spread across his face.

Fang Yi stood opposite Li Yin, a dagger appearing in his hand. He drove the dagger into the pool table, then crossed his arms and said indifferently, "Doing this much should be enough, right?"

Lin Chen, who had been waiting with closed eyes, heard the voice and opened his eyes. Turning around and seeing Fang Yi, Lin Chen was immensely surprised and his mind was a whirl of complex thoughts.

Li Yin looked at Fang Yi and said, "You’re quite fast, you must have some skills."

Fleetingly, Fang Yi replied, "I have a bit of skill, but it’s still far inferior to your Dragon Spin Palm."

The originally smiling Li Yin’s expression changed slightly. His unique technique, the Dragon Spin Palm, was unknown to many. He did not recognize the man in front of him, yet he instantly recognized the use of the Dragon Spin Palm?

So... what was this man’s background?

Li Yin lifted his foot and loosened Lin Chen’s wrist, narrowing his eyes and said, "It seems I’ve come across a formidable opponent. Since that’s the case, I’ll give you some respect."

Li Yin could not gauge the depths of his opponent, and he wasn’t compelled to take one of Lin Chen’s fingers.

Fang Yi responded coolly, "Then, thank you."

Li Yin turned around and, together with a thin man named Lu Hu, left the place.

Fang Yi glanced at the crowd of onlookers and said, "What are you looking at? Disperse."

Some people lingered stubbornly, not leaving. Fang Yi’s gaze turned icy, and he strode over, prompting the crowd to hastily scramble away.

The area around the pool table quieted down. Fang Yi pulled a cigarette from his pocket, lit one, and took a couple of drags. The burly man on the floor stood up, clasped his fists, and said, "Thank you for intervening, brother!"

Fang Yi cracked a slight smile and said, "No need to thank me. We might soon become colleagues."

The burly man, momentarily startled, did not inquire further and said, "My name is Huang Tian."

"Fang Yi."

As he spoke, Fang Yi tossed a cigarette to Huang Tian.

Huang Tian caught the cigarette and lit one too, easing the pain in his body.

Meanwhile, Lin Chen slowly rose from the ground. He didn’t just turn and leave but approached Fang Yi.

However, Lin Chen’s expression was conflicted. Out of pride, he hesitated, clearly in a dilemma.

Fang Yi exhaled a puff of smoke and said, "If you can’t say it, then don’t. Why trouble yourself?"

Lin Chen clenched his teeth and said, "I owe you a favor."

"It was just a helping hand," Fang Yi remarked.

"I owe it, and that’s a fact," Lin Chen said through clenched teeth. "But what I don’t understand is, given our past conflicts, why did you step in?"

Fang Yi replied, "I just couldn’t stand by and watch."

After a moment of silence, Lin Chen said, "Regardless, I will remember this favor. Huang Tian, let’s go."

Nearby, Huang Tian acknowledged with an ’Oh,’ bid farewell to Fang Yi, and left with Lin Chen.

Fang Yi, with a cigarette in his mouth, watched the two leave. Just then, a waiter passed by with a tray. Fang Yi took a glass of water from it and drank a couple of sips.

At that moment, the thin man previously known as Lu Hu approached. He walked straight up to Fang Yi.

"What can I do for you?" asked Fang Yi.

Lu Hu replied respectfully, "I dare not presume to instruct. May I know if you have some time, sir? My master would like to meet you."

Fang Yi lifted his wrist, glanced at his watch—it had been only about ten minutes since Shen Binnan left, and she would still take a while to return. With nothing else to do at the moment, Fang Yi gave a slight smile and said, "I have time."
