Chapter 291: Chapter 311, Red Leaf Club
Even so, even a bus to Heaven reaches its destination, and the public bus is no different.
Fang Yi, with his arm around Huo Xiaoxuan’s waist, led the way, squeezing past several men as they alighted from the back of the bus.
Once out, Huo Xiaoxuan let out a big sigh of relief. Then, as if she remembered something, she took a few steps back to distance herself from Fang Yi.
"Be careful, there’s a step behind you. Take another step back and you’ll fall," Fang Yi warned her.
"It’s better to fall than to let a pervert like you take advantage of me," Huo Xiaoxuan declared righteously.
However, at this moment, the blush on Huo Xiaoxuan’s pretty face had not faded, leaving her cheeks red and rosy, like the glow of a sunset, her tender skin seemingly soft enough to pinch water out of it. Her puffed-up appearance was truly a mixture of laughter and tears.
Seeing her like this, Fang Yi couldn’t help but laugh and say, "Alright, alright, I won’t come closer then. It’s not like you lost a piece of meat. Next time, I just won’t take advantage of you."
Huo Xiaoxuan glared at him with her watery eyes: "You still want there to be a next time?!"
Fang Yi wiped his sweat and said, "If I bump into you next time, I’ll be a puppy."
Huo Xiaoxuan thought for a moment and said, "That’s more like it."
Huo Xiaoxuan was an optimist; her anger came quickly and dissipated just as fast. Seeing that Huo Xiaoxuan wasn’t angry anymore, Fang Yi smiled and said, "Let’s go, let’s head into the office."
"You walk behind, I’ll walk in front. I want to try and see what it feels like to have a bodyguard by my side," Huo Xiaoxuan said, crossing her arms over her chest with a princess-like demeanor.
Fang Yi chuckled helplessly and said, "Alright, alright, you walk in front, and I’ll be your bodyguard."
The bus stop was not far from the office, just about a hundred meters or so. On this short walk, Fang Yi served as a bodyguard for the ’big-chested girl,’ and upon entering the office, they went their separate ways.
Fang Yi arrived at his desk and, as usual, brewed a cup of hot tea, then took out a "Dragon Tiger Panther" magazine from his drawer. But before he did that, he surveyed the surroundings to avoid a sudden attack from Shen Binan.
However, today was calm and quiet until lunchtime, and Shen Binan hadn’t come by.
During lunch, Fang Yi went to the cafeteria, scanned the room, but didn’t spot Shen Binan. He wondered, could it be that Shen Binan hadn’t come to the office today?
Without even eating, Fang Yi went straight back to the office, didn’t knock, and just pushed the door open to go in.
Shen Binan, who was sitting at her desk, suddenly raised her head, puzzled, and asked him, "What’s the hurry? What’s the matter? Did something happen?"
Uh...
Looking at Shen Binan, vibrant and radiant behind her desk, Fang Yi felt an urge to destroy something. He’d been so self-absorbed. A grown woman, what could possibly happen to her?
"Why haven’t you gone to the cafeteria for lunch?" Fang Yi asked, standing above her gaze.
"I’m busy with work, I’ll go eat later," Shen Binan still looked at him puzzled, and said, "Do you have any problem?"
No freaking problem, is it my stomach that’s starving!
Fang Yi said casually, "Nothing, just reminding you, man is iron, food is steel; miss a meal and you’ll feel unreal. It’s not good for your stomach to skip meals."
Shen Binan paused for a moment, then put down her pen and looked seriously at the man in front of her.
"Why have you suddenly become so considerate?"
"I’ve always been good at ’unraveling complexities’."
"Would you die if you didn’t talk nonsense?"
"Good intentions get no gratitude. Fine, you keep working; I’m off to lunch," Fang Yi said, and then he headed toward the door.
As Fang Yi reached the door, Shen Binan suddenly called out, "Wait a second, accompany me somewhere this afternoon."
Fang Yi lazily asked, "Where to?"
Shen Binan replied, "You’ll know when the time comes."
Fang Yi replied with an "Oh," and then left the office.
On that icy facade, a hint of frost quietly melted away as Shen Binan’s lips curved into a pretty and tempting arc.
Gazing at the doorway, Shen Binan muttered to herself, "This guy actually cares whether I’ve had a meal or not? The sun must be rising from the west."
...
In the afternoon, Fang Yi accompanied Shen Binan as they left the company and drove off in a red Audi onto the road.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Shen Binan said, "By the way, what happened to your BMW? Why haven’t I seen it?"
The BMW she referred to was naturally Fang Yi’s Phoenix brand bicycle.
Mentioning this got Fang Yi quite annoyed, and he said irritably, "I sent it back to the 4S shop for maintenance."
Shen Binan’s expression instantly turned exceedingly amused.
The place Shen Binan was heading to was called the Red Leaf Club.
Don’t misunderstand; this club wasn’t the same in nature as the Golden Splendor run by Ying Zheng. From the name alone, one could tell that this club was likely a place of refined taste.
And indeed, it was exactly that. When Fang Yi drove there, they needed a card to gain entry. Shen Binan took out a golden VIP card from her bag and swiped it on the card reader before they were allowed in.
Then, under Shen Binan’s guidance, Fang Yi drove the car into the garage, and the sight there was enough to move even Fang Yi.
They passed by several of the highest-tier Porsches differing in color and model, followed by a few limited-edition luxury sedans, and even a Ferrari with leaves on its roof from having parked there so long.
After Fang Yi parked in an empty spot, he got out next to a yellow convertible Lamborghini. He inadvertently glanced at the steering wheel and noticed the car keys were still there.
"Those who come here are either rich or noble, not the usual types you see, but those who remain unseen. Such a car is nothing to them," Shen Binan said.
"They might not value it, but I do," Fang Yi muttered to himself, suddenly entertaining the idea of thievery.
Shen Binan led the way with Fang Yi following behind as they headed towards a large building.
Today, Shen Binan was clad in a silver office lady-style blazer, her figure stunning and curvaceous. Her round and firm buttocks swayed alluringly under the tight skirt of her silver suit as she walked, rippling waves tantalizing Fang Yi’s gaze.
Upon reaching the grand entrance of the building, they encountered a security guard. Judging by his posture and the subtle aura he exuded, he was at least of the Human Level.
Fang Yi grew curious about this Red Leaf Club. What kind of place was it that even the doorkeeper was of the Human Level? He wondered about the identity and background of the owner of the Red Leaf Club.
After verifying Shen Binan’s identity, the security guard let them through.
They passed through a corridor and entered an elevator, where Shen Binan, obviously familiar with the place, directly pressed the button for the third floor.
Ding!
The elevator doors opened, and a well-dressed woman with a welcoming smile stepped forward to greet them politely, "General Manager Shen."
Shen Binan nodded slightly, then turned to Fang Yi and said, "I’m off to get a SPA treatment. You wait here for me. If you need anything, just let the waitstaff know. Put all the charges on my account."
Fang Yi rubbed his hands and said, "I really can’t accept this."
Shen Binan replied, "With your thick skin, would you really feel embarrassed?"
Fang Yi nodded in agreement, then added, "You’re right. But I feel it’s unfair that you go for a SPA while I just sit here and wait."
Shen Binan raised an eyebrow, coldly asking, "What kind of mischief are you scheming now?"
"What are you talking about? Am I that sort of person?"
Fang Yi immediately became indignant.
Shen Binan didn’t answer, but her resentful gaze said it all.
"What exactly are you trying to say!" Shen Binan was getting impatient.
"Does this place... have any ’special services’?" Fang Yi asked, rubbing his hands and smiling shyly.
