Chapter 167: Chapter 165 – I’ll Give You an Eyeful Part 2

Ding Miaoyan walked in front, with Fang Yi following behind. Although Ding Miaoyan was dressed in suit pants, that couldn’t conceal her curvaceous behind. Throughout the journey, Fang Yi watched very closely, almost dropping his eyeballs into it.

At first, Ding Miaoyan only felt slightly uncomfortable, but later she realized he was peeking. However, she didn’t stop him since she needed a favor from him, and it wasn’t costing her anything—letting him look didn’t matter since he couldn’t touch.

The place Ding Miaoyan took Fang Yi to was a secluded corner of the company, where hardly anyone went. There, two burly men were squatting.

Both men were clutching cigarettes. When they saw Ding Miaoyan, they moved towards her, but stopped upon seeing Fang Yi following her.

One of them frowned and said displeasedly, "Ding Miaoyan, I told you to bring the money, not a person. What, you want him to stand up for you?"

"Hmph, Ding Miaoyan, paying off debts is a natural duty. If you want to escalate things, we don’t mind. You know pert well who stands to lose," another burly man added.

At this moment, Fang Yi redirected his attention to the two burly men. He stood alongside Ding Miaoyan and asked, "What’s going on?"

Ding Miaoyan said, "Remember last time I told you I was in debt because of a high-interest loan?"

Fang Yi responded with a grunt, recalling the memory.

That time, Fang Yi had gone with Ding Miaoyan to extract her boss, Ding Maolin, from a bald gangster. Afterwards, Ding Miaoyan had revealed that she had taken out a high-interest loan. Fang Yi remembered this well.

Now, looking at the two burly men in front of him, Fang Yi figured out that they were here to collect a debt.

"The two brothers are right, paying off debts is indeed a natural duty. How much does she owe you?" Fang Yi asked, not wanting to make a scene as it would not benefit Ding Miaoyan.

"She borrowed a hundred thousand from us, with sixty percent interest, to be repaid in three months. But that deadline has already passed," one burly man said.

Fang Yi mentally calculated: a hundred thousand principal, fifty percent for three months interest, adding up to one hundred and fifty thousand.

That was extremely high; he couldn’t understand why Ding Miaoyan would borrow at such steep rates. The interest was indeed exorbitant.

"Pay up quickly!" the men urged, seeing Fang Yi silent.

"Fifty percent interest, you guys are really heartless," Fang Yi scoffed.

"High-interest loans, if it’s not high interest, why call it a high-interest loan?" one burly man retorted coldly.

"Pay up quickly, don’t dilly-dally, or don’t blame us for getting rough," another burly man said gruffly, rubbing his fists together, ready to escalate.

Fang Yi was very calm, not particularly worried about the two men, but rather concerned about causing trouble for Ding Miaoyan. He spoke lightly, "Since you two are here to collect a debt, you surely brought the promissory note."

Fang Yi thought, if things got too difficult, he could ask the woman Shen Binan for a loan. She would probably agree.

However, when Fang Yi asked this, the two burly men hesitated, exchanging looks, at a loss for words.

Fang Yi immediately realized something and scoffed, "You’ve come to collect money, but didn’t even bring the promissory note. Are you attempting extortion?"

The taller of the two men scoffed coldly, looking menacing as he said, "So what if it’s extortion? Kid, if you dare to make a move, I’ll have you lying on the ground."

Fang Yi snorted and said nothing, just glared and strode forward boldly.
