Chapter 142: Chapter 144, Strong Counterattack!

Luo Hao wanted to launch a surprise attack, but his attempt was unsuccessful.

Luo Hao’s arm, clutching a dagger, was seized by Fang Yi, and then with a snapping sound, it was directly broken by Fang Yi, causing the dagger to drop to the ground.

"It seems you’re in league with them, I can’t let you off," Fang Yi said with a cold laugh.

"No! No! I was forced, I was threatened, you can’t...."

Bang!

Luo Hao’s chest was hit by Fang Yi’s punch, he fell to the ground, blood spurting from his mouth, his eyes rolling back as he lost all signs of life.

Fang Yi didn’t care whether Luo Hao had been forced or threatened, this was the fate of those who opposed him. Fang Yi bent down and picked up the dagger from the ground.

"Buzz!"

In the darkness, there seemed to be the sound of a bowstring.

Then, an arrow tore through the night sky, exploding towards Fang Yi.

Fang Yi, relying on sound to locate it, revealed a sharp gleam in his eyes. Just as the arrow was about to hit Fang Yi’s temple, he barely missed it and caught the arrow, with the arrowhead just about a centimeter from his temple.

"The assassin over there... besides you, there are others, you all will die tonight," Fang Yi stated blandly, his tone neither intense nor overly calm. Yet within that calm, there was an unmistakeable murderous intent.

The next moment, Fang Yi turned and rushed down the hillside.

Fang Yi chose not to head towards the road because the car was already destroyed, and even if the car hadn’t been, there might still be bombs planted on the road. Moreover, there could be an ambush waiting on the road, so Fang Yi would not risk taking Shen Binnan that way.

So, Fang Yi chose the opposite direction and headed downhill.

Shen Binnan’s weight didn’t burden Fang Yi at all. At this moment, Shen Binnan was unconscious, tied to Fang Yi’s back, without becoming a hindrance to him.

As Fang Yi charged down the hillside, people from behind, left, and right closed in, leaving only the path ahead, and Fang Yi had no choice but to move forward.

The slope of the hill was not too steep, and here lay a forest of pine and cypress trees. Like a nimble cheetah, Fang Yi used the cover of night to conceal himself.

"This bodyguard is quite tough, but... tonight he only has death to look forward to," said a person from California, his accent revealing he was from Cangyun.

"No one can escape when Cross has them in his sights," a man from a dark nation licked his lips, his eyes shining with a sickly ferocious light.

The two of them were assassins, and besides them, there were two others also in pursuit, following the same trail.

"This time godfather has called in two assassins, both famous on the assassin leaderboard, Fang Yi, you won’t escape this time," murmured a burly man with a fierce look, he was Ren Si.

"Not far from the bottom of this hill lies a cliff, he has no way out," Ren San coldly stated.

There were four people in total, each emitting a murderous aura, eager to ensure Fang Yi remained here forever.

Yet, as Fang Yi ran at high speed, he didn’t stop upon seeing the cliff. He used brute force to control his body, stopping his hasty charge by holding onto a tree, and then, like a hunting cat, Fang Yi climbed onto the tree above, staying motionless, concealed in the night.

"What’s going on? Where is he?" Ren Si arrived first, only to find that Fang Yi’s figure had vanished.

"He couldn’t have gone far, he must be hiding, trying to counterattack," Ren San said calmly.

Suddenly, Ren San heard a strange sound in his ear, the sound of a sharp weapon slicing through the air.

"Be careful!" Ren San shouted.

But it was too late.

A dagger pierced straight into Ren Si’s forehead, blood gushing out like a fountain, as he fell to the ground with eyes wide open, lifeless.

"Ah! Little Four!!!"

Rensan immediately rushed to his younger brother’s side.

In the next instant, Rensan suddenly felt a coldness attacking from behind.

Like lightning, Rensan dodged the strike and quickly stood up, glaring at Fang Yi as he bellowed angrily, "Fang Yi, give my brother his life back!"

"He got what he deserved!" Fang Yi said with a cold smile, carrying Shen Binan on his back and fleeing the scene. Since the first strike had failed, he would just look for another opportunity to strike. There would always be a chance.

Rensan roared in fury again, chasing after him like a wild beast.

In terms of speed, Fang Yi was confident that no one could surpass him. The footwork taught by the old man, coupled with the powerful and vigorous True Qi in his body, Fang Yi was not worried that Rensan would catch up to him.

But at that moment, an arrow whizzed through the air!

Fang Yi’s gaze went cold as he dodged at extreme speed. This time the arrow grazed his shoulder, leaving a trail of blood.

But Fang Yi did not stop there; he continued forward.

Standing in front of Fang Yi at a distance was a man from Cangyun, holding a longbow made of golden iron, with bowstring crafted from very expensive material, so each arrow it fired had great explosive force and lethality.

"Some skill you’ve got, but if you’re trying to get close to me, you really don’t have what it takes," said the man from Cangyun with a hint of mockery in his eyes as he drew his bow and aimed another arrow at Fang Yi.

First one, then two, three...

However, Fang Yi was now well prepared, so how could he be hit again? He dodged the arrows one by one, causing them to hit the trees with a pattering sound.

The gaze of the man from Cangyun turned even colder. When the distance between them was only twenty meters, he placed five arrows on the bowstring this time, his expression turning fierce as he shot them out.

This could be considered the man from Cangyun’s ultimate move; few people had ever escaped these five arrows.

Yet, Fang Yi did not retreat!

Facing the five arrows, Fang Yi charged forward. His expression was calm and stern, his eyes not even blinking.

Pat, pat!

Two arrows hit a tree, one arrow flew over Fang Yi’s head, and two arrows were caught by Fang Yi’s hands. Like that, all five arrows were neutralized by Fang Yi.

"Damn! This forest is completely restraining my performance!" the man from Cangyun cursed under his breath, seeing Fang Yi approach, he was forced to move, swiftly fleeing.

After all, he excelled at long-range attacks and was not good at close combat.

But... could Fang Yi possibly give him that chance?

The True Qi in Fang Yi’s body surged and flowed, as Fang Yi sped up, it only took a few breaths for him to suddenly appear behind the man from Cangyun, throwing an arrow that struck the man’s knee joint from the back, causing him to fall forward onto the ground.

Then, like a swift cheetah, Fang Yi pounced, not waiting for the man from Cangyun to react, Fang Yi drove another arrow into the back of the man’s neck.

The man from Cangyun didn’t even utter a sound before his breath stopped; he was thoroughly assassinated by Fang Yi.

"Haha, good, very good!" a rugged voice sounded.

A man from the dark-skinned nation walked out from in front of Fang Yi, clapping his hands, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, seemingly applauding Fang Yi for killing the man from Cangyun.

Fang Yi stood up and looked at the dark-skinned man, saying indifferently, "Your partner has died, you seem very pleased?"

The dark-skinned man said, "Of course I’m pleased! With him gone, I can take his share. Isn’t that a good thing?"
