Chapter 61 - 61 44 Farewell Two in One_2

61: Chapter 44 Farewell (Two in One)_2 61: Chapter 44 Farewell (Two in One)_2 Xia Nan breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Though still perplexed, the outcome was satisfactory.

The dewdrop not only healed his injuries but also provided an astonishing 3 Constitution Attribute Points and granted him a defense specialization called “Copper Bones,” which seemed quite powerful on the attribute panel.

He even managed to find a piece of rare quality blue equipment from the cave.

The gains were considerable.

Now, the only thing he needed to consider was how to safely escape from the depths of the Mist Forest and return to River Valley Town.

“I wonder how things are on Hai’an’s side.

With Wood there, there shouldn’t be any problems.”

Xia Nan pondered, his eyes scanning the surroundings, trying to discern the direction.

Suddenly, the dense bushes beside him rustled with a swaying sound.

He instantly drew his Beheading Longsword, becoming alert.

But then, upon seeing that it was the Half Elf and Wood, he relaxed.

“How are you guys holding up?

Are you okay?”

Xia Nan asked, sheathing his sword as he looked at the two whose bodies were covered in grass clippings, with faint signs of battle on them.

“We’re fine.

For some reason, that Petrified Lizard didn’t chase us.” Hai’an, with a hint of confusion, looked at Xia Nan with his silver-gray eyes, concern evident, “But you…”

Compared to the two who looked quite battered after just finishing a fight, Xia Nan didn’t look much better.

His leather armor was cracked at the back, his pants had several slashes, mud spattered all over him, and even his hair was dusty.

Blood-stained bandages and splints lay scattered around him.

It wouldn’t be hard to believe if one claimed he had just returned from a battlefield as a severely injured soldier.

Yet, Xia Nan didn’t appear weak or wounded at all.

His black eyes were full of vigor, clearly energized.

Thus, with just one glance, the Half Elf noticed the contrast.

After all, he had witnessed Xia Nan being hit by the Petrified Lizard head-on, relying on a Healing Potion just to gather the strength to escape.

The words caught him a bit hesitant.

“Oh…”

Noticing the other’s gaze, Xia Nan’s expression paused for a moment, realizing the Half Elf’s discovery.

The incident was sudden; having just escaped the cave, he hadn’t had time to cover up the changes in his body nor think of a reasonable explanation.

Though Wood beside Hai’an didn’t speak, his glance, which swept over the Wooden Sword behind Xia Nan and the unmarred skin beneath his damaged clothing, showed he’d noticed some clues as well.

After pondering for a moment, he organized his thoughts slightly in his mind.

Xia Nan left out parts of details like the “Dewdrop” or “giant snake” that might cause trouble for the group, and half-truthfully, he shared his encounter with the two before him.

Unexpectedly, after hearing his explanation, both the Half Elf and Wood didn’t show the surprised expressions he had imagined.

They even displayed commendable adventurer etiquette by not prying into the Wooden Sword he brought out.

“What you entered might be a ‘Secret Realm.'”

Wood rubbed his chin and spoke slowly.

“Secret Realm?” Xia Nan expressed his confusion about this unfamiliar term.

“Yes.” Wood nodded, explaining.

“You are a native of the Sevia Kingdom, right?”

“Yes.”

“Then you should have heard of the ‘Double Feathered Harp’ story.”

“Double Feathered Harp…” Xia Nan’s brow furrowed as he sifted through the memories left by his former self.

He finally recalled the story, which he had heard countless times from the elder at the village entrance during his childhood.

“The Minstrel who is said to have traveled the entire world, even venturing to other realms?”

“That’s correct.” The Wanderer nodded gently.

“But what does this have to do with the so-called ‘Secret Realm’?”

“The relation…

what if I told you that the Abyss Hell and Star Realm Heaven mentioned in the Double Feathered Harp stories actually exist?”

Wood suddenly lifted his head, looking at Xia Nan before him.

“The Material Realm we inhabit is merely like a layering space.

Various realms of different sizes and scales surround it.”

“Many spaces interlace and merge, and the barriers between realms aren’t stable.

With this premise, as long as certain specific conditions are met, the space can undergo phenomena similar to folding and contracting.”

The Wanderer’s gaze swept over the mist floating around them.

“For example, a region with extremely dense Magic Power.”

Digesting the information from Wood’s words, Xia Nan followed his line of thought and spoke:
