Chapter 174: Chapter 175: Bulk Goods Transaction! (First Update!)
"Lin Yue, I have a lot of gasoline and need watermelons, vegetables, and wine. Additionally, I have many machine parts, but you’ll need to trade something else for them."
This particular message in the thread was especially eye-catching.
Lin Yue almost didn’t have to guess who sent it.
Xing Lingfeng!
Only he truly tasted the watermelons Lin Yue had planted and understood how tempting their taste was in this Otherworld, where almost nothing grew.
However, Lin Yue didn’t expect Xing Lingfeng to have so much gasoline!
The last person who traded gasoline with him in the group had a name like "Gonzalez."
Searching for that member, Lin Yue unexpectedly found that he was already gone, his avatar turned completely gray.
Speaking of Xing Lingfeng.
He and his team placed second, right behind him, in the last group ranking, and the score gap wasn’t too wide.
Xing Lingfeng was once an extremely famous survival expert worldwide, his abilities far surpassing many others.
And now, backed by a very reliable team, he was like a tiger with wings, possessing vast quantities of various materials and parts.
Lin Yue recalled that last time, due to the M19 Pistol bullets, he received help from Xing Lingfeng’s team, obtaining a large amount of nitrocellulose. He also remembered trading many robot parts with him for vegetables and fruits.
"Okay, name your price, I’ll consider it, and as for the parts you mentioned, I’d like to see what there are."
Lin Yue replied to Xing Lingfeng; he really had quite a lot of what was needed, and indeed had accumulated a fair amount of fruits and vegetables.
He couldn’t always keep them in the Storage Space and have them take up space. After all, without a large-scale cold storage, their appearance would deteriorate over time, and if they spoiled, they’d be worthless.
At this stage, he only needed to eat the freshest vegetables and fruits, while the rest could be traded; he had plenty anyways.
Soon enough, Xing Lingfeng chose to add him as a friend, and Lin Yue immediately accepted.
He didn’t mind whether or not to add such resourceful contacts as friends.
After all, adding them just made trading more convenient.
As for deeper interactions, he hadn’t considered it, nor would he accept them.
But Xing Lingfeng truly didn’t have any other intentions, directly sending a message.
"10,000 liters of gasoline, for six watermelons, a total of 30kg of various vegetables, and 5 liters of wine, do you accept?"
Lin Yue raised an eyebrow at the chat.
Wow, 10,000 liters of gasoline? That’s equivalent to 10 cubic meters! Does your family own a gas station?
But if he actually received the 10,000 liters of gasoline, he wouldn’t have to worry about the fuel consumption of gasoline generators.
Even with two running simultaneously, there’d be enough gasoline!
However, there were certainly some issues.
Storage.
Gasoline is flammable and explosive; if stored with other materials, especially in such quantity, the vapors only need minor electric sparks to potentially blow his shelter to pieces!
Of course, that’s assuming neither he nor Bai and the others were inside.
"I accept the gasoline deal, but let’s discuss it tomorrow. I’m more interested in the parts you mentioned."
"No problem. But I have a lot, so you need to wait a bit while I list them."
It didn’t take long for Lin Yue to see a rather long list appear in the chat box.
"Wow, this guy is a hoarder, no, it’s his team that’s incredibly effective." Lin Yue couldn’t help but admire the list, containing nearly a hundred types of items.
Moreover, he quickly spotted many things he urgently needed!
"I’ll take the gyroscope, acceleration sensor, motor, lithium-ion power battery, triaxial gyroscope, triaxial accelerometer, triaxial geomagnetic sensor."
These are essential components for small drones, and it was surprising to find so many at once!
However, Lin Yue also noticed that despite the extensive list from Xing Lingfeng, many critical items were absent.
For instance, alloys and design blueprints had never been placed on the trade market by him, nor did he intend to trade them.
"Okay. But I want something you haven’t sold before, if it’s food and water type, even better."
Xing Lingfeng agreed readily, as these weren’t particularly important items for him.
Lin Yue thought, went to the second greenhouse, picked up a box marked with a Nikka label, and a Yoichi emblem behind it.
Whiskey, a treasure from the last Secret Realm, plentiful and useful as solid currency, though not particularly valuable to him as he didn’t drink alcohol.
He obtained it from a private villa on an island; it couldn’t be too bad, right?
"Nikka, Yoichi, and Miyagikyo whiskey, 750ml per bottle, what do you think?"
After sending it, there was no immediate response from Xing Lingfeng.
Is this stuff worthless? Lin Yue was a bit surprised, thinking it would be valuable.
Opening the box, Lin Yue found the bottle intriguing, with a black bust of a helmeted and masked samurai clad in armor and some Japanese text on it.
Wow, Japanese whiskey, is it really not worth anything?
No wonder Xing Lingfeng didn’t reply.
He returned to the shelter and found the kitchen resonating with slight mechanical noises.
That’s the robot dog, still wandering in circles in the kitchen. Lin Yue went over to pause it.
He glanced at the time, noting it had been about twenty-some minutes, nearly half an hour, with the robot dog only dropping 5 units of power.
It seems there’s no worry about power endurance, allowing for long-term operation isn’t out of the question.
Bai and the Little Ice Lizards still bore hostility towards it, but after he turned off the power, their hostile growls turned into curious chirps and growls.
"Okay, okay, Bai, you bring the Little Ice Lizards over here, I’ll teach them something."
"Chirp!" Bai nodded, growled at the Little Ice Lizards, and quickly followed Lin Yue out of the shelter, along the passage to the first greenhouse.
Lin Yue pulled over an electric wire to connect to the gasoline generator, turned it on again, and set a light bulb in the first greenhouse.
The white light soon illuminated the damp area, presenting a scene of greenery and hanging fruits to Bai and the numerous Little Ice Lizards!
"Bai, I’ll teach you how to harvest crops, hey, the reward is watermelon!"
