Chapter 168 - 158: Celestial God-Level Scepter
Chapter 168: Chapter 158: Celestial God-Level Scepter
After summoning a certain number of creatures, Rosen headed to the beast cage.
The beast cage had only unlocked a few units before, just the Demon Bear and Lattice Dragon.
The unlock prices are expensive, and the summoning costs are not low either.
However, with the territory now at level seven, these resources are no longer a concern, allowing for carefree unlocking and summoning.
[Demon Dragon: A particularly ferocious dragon-like beast, possessing strong survival abilities and offensive characteristics, capable of applying dark infection to buildings.]
[Magical Unicorn: Can emit extreme rays from the horn on its forehead, possessing powerful building destruction abilities.]
[Abyssal Demon Leopard: Has extremely fast attack speed, making it difficult to discern its attack trajectory.]
Most of the newly unlocked creatures in the beast cage relate to attacking buildings, though occasionally there are protective entities for our buildings, like the Lattice Dragon, followed by powerful Magical Beasts targeting enemy units.
He summoned a certain quantity of those as well.
Then Rosen noticed his phone vibrate in his pocket; upon taking it out, he realized Tang Xichen was calling.
Quite surprising, as Tang Xichen usually just sent text messages, reaching his limit; this time, he directly called?
"Hello, this is Xiaozhang."
"Yes, I know, please come to the Tang Family; my father wants to reward you. Thank you so much this time," Tang Xichen said.
A bit of a letdown; Rosen had thought Tang Xichen was calling of his own initiative, but it was actually the Patriarch Tang’s intention.
Nonetheless, the Tang Family’s promised reward was indeed tempting, far more generous than the competition rewards.
Seeing no pressing matters, Rosen decided to head to the Tang Family, of course, still wearing his mask to avoid risk exposure.
Driving cautiously all the way, Rosen navigated on his own, and upon emerging from the Teleportation Gate, he found himself in the wilderness, theoretically unnoticed.
But, in reality, he underestimated the determination others had in finding him.
"He’s appeared; a sports car emerged from the Teleportation Gate I’m guarding. The guy wearing a mask looks much like the Xiaozhang the boss is looking for!" someone called from behind the bushes.
"Keep monitoring; if he returns, inform us immediately, and we’ll send people to your location!" a voice commanded over the phone.
In the blink of an eye, Rosen arrived at the Tang Family.
In the living room, Tang Xuanze, Tang Xichen, Rosen, and Xu Chen sat on four sofas.
Tang Xuanze said, "Each of you will receive a basic reward; Xiaozhang and Xichen will receive additional rewards."
Upon hearing this, Rosen felt some anticipation.
Xu Chen’s expression wasn’t great; he didn’t even get a chance to ally with Tang Xichen in the competition.
He cast an unpleasant glance towards Rosen.
Feeling Rosen had stolen his thunder.
But he had heard about Rosen’s awakened hero, capable of using vast skills, far superior to his own, supposedly an illustrious realm figure.
Reflecting on this, Xu Chen dared not belittle himself further.
"What rewards can we get? I’m already impatient!" Rosen asked.
"Basic rewards include over a thousand entrance tickets to attribute-based instances, five hero resurrection scrolls, ten fortune-changing cards, and one equipment enhancement scroll."
"As for the extra reward, that’s a secret," Tang Xuanze said with utmost mystery.
"I know about instance tickets and hero resurrection scrolls, but what are fortune-changing cards and equipment enhancement scrolls?" Rosen found himself in a knowledge blind spot.
Such information is known only to prominent families, not to commoners, and there are no market strategies.
After all, if commoners get wind of these secrets, it might prompt the rise of new families, increasing pressure on existing ones, thus opting for information blockade.
"A fortune-changing card allows your luck to change for the day, albeit with risks, such as extremely bad luck, a streak of misfortune. Of course, if fortune turns grand, one could potentially establish a family overnight."
"As for equipment enhancement scrolls, they are of greater value. Since a fortune-changing card has a high probability of turning into bad luck, while equipment enhancement scrolls directly double equipment attributes, as you can imagine, it’s incredibly precious."
Listening to Tang Xuanze, Rosen was deeply shocked.
It’s important to note that his initial advantage in the Lord Dominance Competition stemmed from Mavi’s cloak.
If the cloak is enhanced, doubling its attributes, it goes from being able to summon a hundred Xiaohai, now summoning two hundred. And Xiaohai and the Goddess of Vengeance’s powers also double!
In the next competition, his power will be terrifying, crushing surrounding lords at the start won’t be an issue.
To have more equipment enhancement scrolls, wouldn’t that be delightful?
Of course, Rosen realized that these items were probably extremely expensive, which is why the reward only included one.
At this moment, Tang Xuanze clapped and three butlers brought forth the rewards.
One of the butlers handed the reward to Tang Xichen, "Miss, please accept."
As a matter of fact, Tang Xuanze didn’t need to reward his daughter publicly; doing so was for fairness, given his private addition to her rewards couldn’t be questioned.
Rosen also received his reward from the second butler, immediately selecting the enhancement scroll upon receiving it.
He found himself unable to comprehend the language on the scroll.
It’s a language not of Blue Star, presumably containing some mystery.
If he could understand it, perhaps he could craft such scrolls himself.
But the issue is, he couldn’t decipher it nor grasp the underlying principles.
Without thinking much, Rosen applied the scroll to the equipment, Mavi’s cloak, immediately.
A flash of golden light, the cloak leveled up, rising from its previous King-quality to two-star King-quality!
"Isn’t King the highest quality?"
"Certainly not, King has ten stars; beyond ten stars King is the Celestial God level, but currently only one person has enhanced equipment to Celestial God level, so no one knows what’s beyond that."
"Isn’t the person who enhanced their equipment to Celestial God level Nangong Wan?"
"Indeed."
Rosen asked again, "Can you tell me what equipment they enhanced?"
This inevitably piqued Rosen’s curiosity.
"It’s a weaponed staff; Nangong Wan rose initially by relying on the strong staff and the Twelve-winged Angel Goddess. Without the hero template, perhaps she wouldn’t reach her current peak."
"Is that so? What attributes does that weaponed staff have?" Rosen inquired further.
"Initially, it was King-level, the attribute seemingly tripled all damage output. After enhancing to Celestial God level, I don’t know the exact effect, just that Nangong Wan is unparalleled when wielding the staff’s power, and no external mention has been made about her staff, only stating the Twelve-winged Angel Goddess’s strength."
"That’s good PR, isn’t it?" Rosen responded.
"Surely, in the future when you become powerful, promote your hero template’s prowess more than any powerful equipment; otherwise, aren’t you constantly worried about theft?"
Upon hearing this, Rosen nodded and internally planned, "Seems I’ll need to craft an equipment, attributing my strength to it, so others don’t covet my hero template."
