Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission
Chapter 613: Building Your Own Base

Chapter 613: Chapter 613: Building Your Own Base

By the time the two of them landed, the area had already been cleared.

Seeing Fang Jie’s methods, Sara couldn’t help but widen her eyes in shock, never having imagined that the teacher she had acknowledged possessed such abilities. It seemed that his previous performances were not the full extent of his strength.

"Sara, you should start by learning some basics from him. If there’s anything you don’t understand, feel free to ask me. I might be quite busy in the following days and won’t have much time."

Sara nodded gently, not daring to go against any of Fang Jie’s wishes.

The one Fang Jie referred to was a Ghost Mage Hero he had brought with him, who had also just barely reached the Legendary Level.

Although not as specialized as Fang Jie in various areas of knowledge, his breadth was no less extensive. To be an enlightening teacher for a little girl who wasn’t even at the Black Iron level was quite an overqualification.

Only someone like Fang Jie could afford such luxury.

Once Sara had begun her studies, Fang Jie did not stand on ceremony and directly drew a circle in the middle of the ground. Then, a large number of Undead began to dig holes, clearing out the central area.

Yes, Fang Jie was doing this to conceal his Mountain and River Spirits. It took the better part of a day to dig out a huge pit, and that was thanks to the impressive engineering capabilities of the Skeleton Labor.

As for the soil, it had all been dealt with, taken to the nearby mountains.

Some was used to reinforce the mountains, some to build defensive structures; it could always be put to use.

Only a patch of swamp at the back of the area remained, now also filled with soil. Fang Jie did not wish to have such a terrain on his land, leaving behind only a river was sufficient.

Once the pit was complete, Fang Jie waved his hand to summon forth the Mountain and River Spirits, right in the middle of the pit.

Appearing directly below, even Sara did not see it, only sensing something.

Afterward, Fang Jie began to arrange layers above it, an osseous structure materialized, sealing the Mountain and River Spirits underground, ready to exert their power.

Meanwhile, the Skeleton Labor began constructing Functional Buildings around the area.

Blessed by the Territory’s Law, the true capabilities of the Skeleton Labor could finally be unleashed, and the construction proceeded extremely quickly. By dusk, a number of buildings had sprung up, completely transforming the area.

If it weren’t for the absence of people, one might even call it a bustling town.

However, since the Territory’s rules were inherently a flat plane of construction, despite the Mountain and River Spirits now being underground, no Functional Building could be built directly above that spot.

This was why other Territories did not build a second layer of construction directly underground.

Fang Jie thought it over and felt that it wasn’t great to have such a large empty space in the middle, so he had his people build fake models on top, imitating Functional Buildings, to deceive others.

Whether it worked or not depended on the Law itself, not these structures, but outsiders wouldn’t know.

In the center, Fang Jie had a castle built to mimic the Lord Mansion. However, Fang Jie’s actual residence was in the lower layer, near his Mountain and River Spirits.

Should danger arise, the defensive structures inside the Mountain and River Spirits would come into play.

Even if a Demigod were to attack, the defensive power of the Mountain and River Spirits should be able to repel them.

"Alright, take a break, have some food, then go back to training on your own, and don’t stay up too late," Fang Jie said to Sara, who was still practicing. She nodded somewhat pitifully.

In truth, Sara, who hadn’t eaten all day, was starving.

She didn’t possess the level of strength that allowed Fang Jie to forgo food, nor was she an Undead who didn’t need to eat at all. Fang Jie felt a bit embarrassed; he had forgotten that she was just a little child who hadn’t really cultivated before.

With a wave of his hand, newly created Ghost Servants began preparing food. While these Ghost Servants weren’t very useful for much, they did have a knack for cooking and cleaning.

Once she had acclimated, Sara felt life here was even more stable than at home.

If it weren’t for the absence of normal humans, this place was practically the living of a grand noble.

For the sake of provision, Fang Jie even created a farm, a fishing ground, and a pasture nearby. With these, their supplies for living wouldn’t lack in the slightest.

At night Sara rested, but the Undead did not; they kept busy, tirelessly working.

These were ideal workers—always on call, no wages needed, and no need for food or rest. Over the next few days, the whole base changed daily as a multitude of buildings were erected and then upgraded.

The outermost layer was still filled with defensive buildings. Once these defenses were completed, fighting three or five Demigods wouldn’t be out of the question; this was Fang Jie’s standard.

But there was one problem—he hadn’t brought enough Resources.

These Resources had to be gathered from this world itself. Especially the Spirit points; without the ability to build Gathering Spirit Towers elsewhere, the vast Spirit points required for development were the true limiting factor for the speed of Territory expansion.

"According to this pace, it will probably take a month or two to fully develop."

Fang Jie did not wish to waste that much time, so he had to wage war. In the otherworld, spending too much time wasn’t a good thing. He needed to finish up quickly and then return home.

Otherwise, staying away for too long and worrying his family was not good. Who knew if anyone would start having second or third thoughts?

His own Empire was unstable, with two other Empires always coveting his lands.

Buildings continued to rise, and various troop kinds were produced en masse. Fang Jie secretly carried out Fission of the troop kinds during the day, amassing a huge military force. These forces were dispatched to claim his dominion one by one.

Those who resisted were promptly annihilated; the Undead didn’t need much talking.

With the numerous powerful troops, Fang Jie’s Territory expansion was swift.

Even the high-ranking Undead who had been watching Fang Jie were taken aback by the speed of his development. Fang Jie had come alone, but he caused quite a stir, alarming many high-rankers.

Not to mention anything else, but simply having so many Undead under his command and a good number of Gold-level ones was something ordinary people couldn’t achieve. If they knew Fang Jie also had many Legendary followers, who could say what they would think?
