Chapter 584: Chapter 584: The Powerful Three-headed Giant Snake

"Damn it, rest for a few days, then try again," Fang Jie muttered to himself.

Fang Jie’s figure appeared within his Territory, as he returned to the temple.

He could sense that the Gods had slightly lowered their evaluation of him. This was deliberately shown by the Gods, and, of course, Fang Jie knew not to trust them too much anymore.

The closer their strengths, the more conflicts that could arise between them.

Previously, when Fang Jie went out to explore, he had bad luck. For over a month, he encountered no otherworlds. Seeing the energy of the Space Bubble weakening, Fang Jie didn’t dare to rely on luck any longer.

So, he immediately activated the measures reserved by the Gods and returned to his Territory.

This time, it was a mission with absolutely no gains.

After resting for a few days, Fang Jie set out once again. This time luck was on his side, and within just a couple of weeks, the bubble had merged with a new world. However, as soon as he entered, Fang Jie sensed something was amiss.

A powerful presence suddenly oppressed him, leaving him feeling completely powerless to resist.

Under this overpowering force, even moving seemed incredibly difficult.

"It’s a Demigod, definitely a Peak Demigod," Fang Jie’s face paled; his own strength had just entered the Legendary realm, but his foundation was very solid.

Only a Peak Level Demigod could make him feel this way.

Moments later, Fang Jie saw a figure approaching from afar. It had blue skin, four arms, and stood over three meters tall, its race unknown to Fang Jie.

However, atop its head was an object resembling a gemstone that seemed to be a part of its body rather than a decorative item.

Fang Jie could feel that powerful aura emanating from this object.

Clearly, the being was no friend, and without a second thought, Fang Jie activated the Snake God Ring in his hand. At the same time, he prepared to make a strategic retreat.

The next moment, ripples appeared in the Void, and a special energy spread out.

The oppressive presence that bore down on him vanished abruptly, while the blue figure across from him looked gravely upward. A shadowy mass gradually twisted and solidified in the air above.

Squinting, it looked like a huge green Three-headed Giant Snake taking form.

This giant snake towered at least ten meters tall, each head resembling the size of a small house, with six enormous eyes looking down. After a brief glance at Fang Jie, the snake’s gaze fixed on the blue-skinned entity.

"Who are you? Why have you invaded my Territory?" the being spoke, but its focus was on the giant snake in the sky.

To them, Fang Jie was but a shrimp, insignificant compared to this terrifying enemy. Though the snake appeared as a mere shadow, it seemed quite real to them.

They didn’t realize the snake was summoned by Fang Jie.

Fang Jie mentally commanded an attack, and the next moment, a faint glow burst from the snake’s eyes. The blue-skinned being suddenly froze, turning rigid, and petrified within seconds.

"Is it dead? There’s no trace of its presence left," Fang Jie probed and confirmed the creature was indeed dead.

"Unbelievable, even though it’s a Demigod at Peak Level, can the discrepancy be this large?"

Fang Jie finally realized that the Snake God Ring was no ordinary item. The summoned servant, the Three-headed Giant Snake, was not just any Demigod.

Though labeled as a Demigod, given that it served the Snake God, it could be considered a Divine Envoy.

And the snake’s actual level was unknown; if high enough, the serpent’s overwhelming strength would be less surprising.

To instantly kill another Peak Demigod was beyond Fang Jie’s expectations.

He had planned for the serpent to hold off the entity while he escaped, not for it to be outright slain.

"No, I must retreat. This world is beyond my capacity to conquer."

Fang Jie wasn’t scared but had sensed this world’s energy aura, which was far more intense than any Plane he had encountered in his initial expansions.

This indicated that not only were there numerous Demigods here, but gods might also be possible. Such a world was not within his rights to explore; marking it would be courting death.

And so, Fang Jie hadn’t even considered marking it, even if it meant a further reduction in esteem.

He quickly approached and picked up the Demigod statue, then activated his backup plan. Suddenly, a new Space Bubble enveloped him, and he was whisked away by an unseen force.

The shadow of the Three-headed Snake God in the sky appeared thoughtful, then gradually faded away.

"That was too close; thank goodness for this ring, or I couldn’t have returned." Fang Jie shuddered with relief as he realized why others spoke of the dangers of exploring otherworlds.

Suddenly, his expression stiffened as he noticed a crack on the ring on his finger.

"So this ring can’t be used indefinitely. Judging by this crack, it may last for another ten or so uses or as few as seven or eight before it’s completely destroyed."

Fang Jie felt a mix of regret and sorrow. But it made sense.

Such a powerful Three-headed Giant Snake, if summoned endlessly, would make this ring not just Diamond Level, but at least Divine Artifact Level, or the minimum standard for a Divine Artifact: the Half-God Artifact.

As the name implies, Half-God Artifacts are used or crafted by Demigods.

Later, Fang Jie examined the stone figure, grateful for some semblance of gain.

"Pity, the Divine Fragment is shattered; otherwise, there would have been one more prize." Upon inspection, Fang Jie found the godly aspect of the statue fragmented, but the Corpse was recognized.

Though it seemed merely a statue, it was truly the Corpse of a Demigod, adding to his collection.

For the following days, Fang Jie took no further action but instead reflected on his failed attempts.

Although it was mostly a matter of luck, Fang Jie still summarized the experiences. Days later, the second batch of candidates for the Demigod trial departed.

When the ring cooled down, Fang Jie also left, enveloped once again by a Space Bubble for the journey.

Fang Jie had made all preparations, hoping that this time his luck would be a little better than before.
