Chapter 551: Chapter 551 Finally Back

The Tiger-man scanned the area, still unable to identify his actual target.

"Ha, cowards. But it’s just as well. Once you’re all dead, you won’t be a threat anymore."

Although dealing with over a thousand Legendary Level fighters was troublesome, as long as he didn’t confront them head-on continuously, they posed no great threat to him. Kill a portion, then leave; rest up and come back for another round.

As long as he kept on killing, in just two or three times, he would be able to wipe them out completely.

"Think you can take us on? Come and try. It would be quite the experience to take down a Demigod."

That Death Knight faced the Tiger-man opposite him with no hint of fear.

"What, are you the leader?" The Tiger-man looked at the Undead Knight and suddenly threw a punch. The Death Knight was prepared, but still got sent flying by the blow.

If it hadn’t been for his great Strength and his formidable Profession, he would likely have been killed by that hit. And yet, even with that, the Death Knight found most of his bones broken by the attack.

Even as an Undead, it would probably take some time to recover without rest.

After all, these were no ordinary wounds. The wounds were imbued with Demigod Level power, which couldn’t be cleared away in a short time.

A group of Undead ran out, trying to carry the Death Knight away.

But with another wave of his hand, the Tiger-man wiped out all the Undead in an instant.

At that moment, Fang Jie decided not to send any more of his Undead out, although it was unfortunate that the one outside couldn’t be saved. Sending them out in waves like that was not ideal.

Even if he were to send a troop of Legendary Level soldiers to rescue him, the losses would be substantial.

"It seems this guy is just baiting the other Legendary Level fighters out for a rescue mission. Attacking the city directly might be dangerous, but luring them out from a distance, one by one, is an excellent choice."

A gleam of realization shone in Fang Jie’s eyes; this Beastman was no simple creature.

For any other race, such a tactic by the Beastman would indeed be troublesome. Naturally, not rescuing would be understood by all, but it could still lead to loyalty issues.

Now, even though his subordinates were Undead, Fang Jie still felt humiliated and angry.

Without Strength, one was always passive and helpless against the powerful.

"It’s all my fault, I miscalculated the time they had for their training, otherwise this wouldn’t have happened." Fang Jie was filled with regret. If he’d only been more cautious, but he had gotten carried away by his smooth progress.

Looking back, it seemed his progress had inflated his confidence too much.

"If my Territory is destroyed this time, I swear the entire Beastman Empire will be wiped out," Fang Jie said with hatred flickering in his eyes. He was ready to abandon this place at any moment and relocate everyone under his command.

Then, even if he scattered these Legendary Level fighters throughout the Beastman Empire to wreak havoc, they wouldn’t have an easy time.

Just then, Fang Jie relaxed a bit.

"Finally back, and just in time." At the temple’s entrance, a figure slowly emerged—not anyone else but Fang Hao. Fang Hao had set out with others for training, among the very first to do so.

Now that Fang Hao had returned, it meant he had succeeded and become a Demigod Level fighter.

But at the same moment, Fang Jie felt a twinge of unease, unsure whether he could still control Fang Hao. If Fang Hao was unwilling to listen to him, it would be very problematic.

However, now was not the time to ponder over this issue. Fang Jie telepathically issued a command.

"Fang Hao, our Territory is currently under threat from a Demigod Beastman."

"I’ll handle this matter," Fang Jie said, not in a commanding tone, but Fang Hao responded as obediently as ever. In a flash, Fang Hao appeared at the top of the city gate.

As soon as Fang Hao appeared, the Tiger-man instinctively looked over, his demeanor no longer as disdainful as before.

"So, you’re their leader, having hidden yourself so deeply."

Fang Hao revealed his own power, and the overwhelming aura of a Demigod Level pressed firmly ahead. The Tiger-man realized that the newcomer’s strength was on par with his own and instantly grew wary.

"A Beastman from the Beastman Empire? You dare to provoke us of your own accord. Withdraw now, and bygones will be bygones. Otherwise, our Lord will fight your Beastman Empire to the bitter end."

What? Another Lord? So this one isn’t the leader either?

Among the Undead, only the most powerful commanded everyone’s obedience.

Though a God wouldn’t appear in such a place, to command a Demigod, it had to be another Demigod. And this one must be able to easily overbear the present one.

Otherwise, even if less powerful, other Undead would at best cooperate, not serve.

And one who could overwhelm the one before him would count among only one or two top entities within the Beastman Empire.

These damned Southern Undead Powers, they might well be able to confront their Empire head-on.

"Your Lord? I can’t believe a powerful being like you would submit to another."

The Tiger-man was probing. He extended his senses. If the other side was lying, he’d detect it immediately. The Tiger-man used his final tactic to gauge their true strength.

Fang Hao didn’t know, but he coolly spoke, "What do you know? The greatness of our Lord is not for you to comprehend."

Fang Hao’s derision wasn’t feigned at all. The Tiger-man was certain that Fang Hao’s Lord was truly esteemed in his eyes. And being an Undead Strong Person, what was considered greatness in their eyes needed no explanation.

The Tiger-man was reluctant but realized he probably wouldn’t achieve his goals.

If the opponent didn’t have a Demigod, or if their Demigod was weak, he could have worn them down.

But now, seeing such formidable strength displayed by the opponent, it was time to discuss strategies. He trusted the folks back home wouldn’t just crash against these Undead.

The Southern region had truly grown in power, and if cornered on three sides, that was certainly not what they desired.

Fortunately, although this force was a conglomerate, their core was Undead. Those Elves on the other side would never ally closely with Undead—they would likely prefer to eradicate these Undead.

"Well then, I understand your position," he said. "I will report this. The specifics can wait for later."

Suddenly, the Tiger-man’s expression turned grave as he looked toward the city’s interior. He sensed another Demigod’s presence, one even more powerful than the one before him.
