Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission
Chapter 544: Adding New Troops

Chapter 544: Chapter 544: Adding New Troops

The war was over, and Fang Jie had set aside other matters for the time being. What he needed now was to open treasure boxes.

Indeed, it would be strange if such a massive war did not yield treasure boxes. Therefore, there were not only treasure boxes but also a great many of them. However, lacking the enhancement of World Power, the quality of the boxes was much lower.

"I had expected the quality to degrade, but didn’t expect it to be this bad."

Fang Jie shook his head, finally realizing his intuition was correct—Undead were indeed at a significant disadvantage when it came to procuring treasure boxes during the war. It seemed to be some form of balance that the world imposed on the Undead Camp.

During the battle that breached Beastman Island, the Human Faction obtained a troop construction diagram of Gold Level inside a treasure box, along with a new type of troop, or rather, a mount.

Silver Pegasus, a mount type, of Gold Level.

Its appearance was that of a silvery-white horse, stunningly majestic, without a single misplaced hair. It also had two enormous wings sprouting from its ribs, which it used for flying.

After experimenting, Fang Jie discovered that the Silver Pegasus was incredibly fast, even faster than most flying troops.

Whether used for attacking or escaping, the Silver Pegasus was an exceptionally powerful tool.

This was the first time Fang Jie had encountered such a mount type of troop. The Silver Pegasus could be mounted by any hero unit or even by natives, making it highly versatile.

However, it had one drawback—the Silver Pegasus resisted any creature from the Dark Race.

Even Elves, including Dark Elves and Shadow Elves, were resisted, to say nothing of the Undead.

But not the Dark Night Elves. Although they also leaned towards a dark attribute, they weren’t wholly so. Fang Jie decided to produce a batch to be used specifically by more important hero units in the future.

"They can be used as rewards later on. If someone makes a significant contribution, they can also be given as a gift."

Mounts, unlike other types of troops, weren’t entirely nondistributable.

In fact, as long as one could gain the mount’s approval, anyone could take it away. Of course, this required Fang Jie’s consent.

Perhaps it was because this type of troop was a special mount troop, Fang Jie thought to himself.

If resources hadn’t been plentiful now, this could totally have been traded as a high-end product.

However, what the humans obtained in the war could not be replicated on the Undead side. The Undead almost took down the entire Sea Alliance, but the high-end items they acquired were basically similar to theirs.

A Gold Level troop construction diagram and a Gold Level building upgrade diagram.

Besides, there was only one Gold Level troop; the scale and rewards of this war were absolutely disproportionate. Moreover, that Gold Level troop was a White Bone War Elephant, an upgrade of a species he had once possessed.

Previously, his White Bone War Elephants were only of Bronze Level, not even upgraded to Silver. This time, opening a treasure box directly yielded a Gold Level, though whether it was because he already owned this type of troop was uncertain.

The Gold Level White Bone War Elephant was enormous, appearing almost like a small mountain.

Among all his Gold Level troops now, the White Bone War Elephant was probably the largest. Even the naturally large Skeleton Flying Dragon or the Infectors and Grave Guardian Demon Spiders were not as big as the White Bone War Elephant.

After reaching Gold Level, the White Bone War Elephant’s strength and defense had greatly increased, and it also gained a special power—a simplified Domain Power.

The White Bone War Elephant could create a unique gravity field in its vicinity.

All enemies within this gravity field would suffer significant effects from the intense gravity, struggling to move. Flying troops within the area couldn’t fly at all, effectively resulting in a no-fly zone.

It could be said that to deal with the White Bone War Elephant, one would have to resort to ranged attacks, as melee would be difficult to win.

Even among the Gold Troops Fang Jie possessed, it seemed none could defeat the White Bone War Elephant in close combat.

"I’m really looking forward to it, a Legendary Level White Bone War Elephant should be stronger, it’s just a pity it doesn’t have command capabilities."

The White Bone War Elephant was a special combat unit—simple-minded and lacking command abilities, thus forbidden from becoming a commander. In that case, other methods had to be used to obtain the Legend Certificate.

Such a powerful troop wasn’t easily upgraded to Legendary.

This seemed to be a common issue among all large Undead.

However, among other large Undead, there were some with command capabilities. Unlike the White Bone War Elephant, which definitely lacked any, Command Talent seemed completely absent from this species.

Then Fang Jie glanced at the two troop construction diagrams, thought for a moment, and decided to use them on the Skeleton Shooter and Annihilation Ghost.

It seemed somewhat unlikely for the Skeleton Shooter to upgrade to Gold Level by itself, so Fang Jie had no choice but to use an item. After reaching Gold Level, the Skeleton Shooter had greatly improved in all aspects.

Although standard without any special abilities, it was definitely of Gold Level.

Most importantly, the Skeleton Shooter was inexpensive by nature. In the range of Gold Level troops, none were cheaper than the Skeleton Shooter, at least among the troops Fang Jie possessed.

As for the Annihilation Ghost, these were the Ghost Assassins under Fang Jie’s command.

Originally, their assassination ability was terrifying, and now at Gold Level, it became even more formidable.

Although untested, from others’ reactions it was clear that when the Annihilation Ghosts fought desperately, they posed a threat even to the Legendary.

Especially for those who had just entered the Legendary Level, facing an Annihilation Ghost could easily result in severe injuries.

However, due to the vast difference in strength, assassinating a Legendary Expert using an Annihilation Ghost was virtually impossible. But being a threat was already enough to indicate the strength of this troop.

The diversity of the Undead Camp’s troops was once again enriched, leaving Fang Jie very satisfied.

"Very good, now even when facing two empires, I still have enough confidence."

Fang Jie then focused his attention on the building upgrade diagrams. How should these be used? Gold Level, too wasteful for upgrading troop buildings, and for his special buildings, Fang Jie started to think.

"Many need upgrading, all seem quite significant. But for now, let’s enhance a special defense first. The last battle already proved the powerful effect of the Fire Bomb Bunker," Fang Jie chose the Fire Bomb Bunker.
