Chapter 411: Chapter 411: The Poison Flying Dragon that was Countered to Death
"Those are Poison Flying Dragons, it seems they are yet again suppressed by us,"
Fang Jie observed the green flying dragons taking to the air and began to ponder their information.
They were a type of dragon species, but not true giant dragons. Naturally, they had only two legs and lacked foreclaws, somewhat similar to two-legged flying dragons, and their primary attack mode involved using lethal poison.
The poison of the Poison Flying Dragons was of a mixed type, heavily associated with the environment in which they lived.
Most other creatures produced their potent poisons internally, but Poison Flying Dragons were different, their bodies producing a foundational poison which then blended with various toxic substances in their surroundings to create a unique and deadly concoction.
Each Poison Flying Dragon had a distinct poison.
Some poisons even contained components beneficial to humans, possibly capable of healing and antidotal properties. However, these were mere byproducts that added to the variation and complexity of the poisons.
In this world, nobody wanted to mess with these things, simply because the poisons were just too much hassle.
The poison of each Poison Flying Dragon was different, and antidotes were myriad and peculiar.
Thus, for ordinary people, getting poisoned often meant no chance of survival, or at best, they could rely on luck for a possible recovery.
But such deadly toxins meant almost nothing to the Undead. Undead Creatures were not afraid of common poisons; unless a poison possessed physical corrosivity or targeted the soul, it was ineffective against them.
Clearly, these Poison Flying Dragons fell into this category.
Unfortunately for them, Poison Flying Dragons themselves lacked strong combat abilities; their breaths depended on poison to be effective, as their own Attack Power was weak.
Without foreclaws, their attacks lacked agility, and though their hind legs were thick and strong, they were even less suited for combat.
The confrontation had been one-sided from the very start. Upon encounter, both sides began to breathe their attacks, one side emitting pure gray-black, the other a confused muddle of every color.
"I didn’t expect their poison to reach so far; ordinary creatures are indeed easily suppressed by it,"
From atop a Flying Dragon, Fang Jie watched the battlefield from a safe distance. He wouldn’t dare get too close to such a place.
This poison pattern caused substantial harm to normal life forms. The entire sky turned into a patchwork of colors, and onlookers saw animals nearing this area meet unfortunate fates.
The creatures that dropped dead from the poison were considered the lucky ones; those not killed instantly were left to Lament in agony.
Even Fang Jie noticed that many animals, themselves highly venomous, unexpectedly could not resist this type of toxicity.
However, this poison had little effect on Skeleton Flying Dragons. They flew forward right through the poisons, completely ignorant to their presence.
Only a few poisons with some corrosive properties had a marginal influence on Skeleton Flying Dragons.
But such effects were too insignificant; combined with the fact the Skeleton Flying Dragons possessed Combat Power at the Golden Peak, common corrosiveness inflicted minimal harm, and couldn’t even match their healing rate.
But the Death Breath of Skeleton Flying Dragons was a different story—it was a power infused with Death Energy.
This force targeted living beings, and in an instant, numerous Poison Flying Dragons fell from the sky, lifeless.
Those not at the Gold level could die from a mere brush, while those who managed to struggle at that level would also suffer significantly, losing most of their Combat Power if directly hit.
"There are quite a few Golden Peak-level ones; it seems this place is a dominant force on this Plane,"
Fang Jie observed a large number of Golden Peak Poison Flying Dragons. Ordinary people wouldn’t dare to approach such a place so casually. Too bad they were suppressed by the Undead; soon this place would become sacrificial ground for the Undead Realm.
But for now, it was the initial stage, and there were no other Undead Creatures daring to assault this location.
Thus, Fang Jie was able to pick up the slack. With a sudden charge, the Skeleton Flying Dragons closed in on the Poison Flying Dragons.
Now, the Poison Flying Dragons were in even more pitiable circumstances. In close combat, they stood no chance against Skeleton Flying Dragons. Even those of equivalent ranking were instantly grievously wounded, then eliminated.
When the Poison Flying Dragons realized something was wrong, they found their numbers had already been halved.
At that point, the sky was essentially ruled by Skeleton Flying Dragons, who, even if they considered fleeing, had no opportunity.
Of course, below were their nests, filled with numerous Poison Flying Dragon eggs and hatchlings. These Poison Flying Dragons were, after all, creatures, and the reproductive capabilities of Dragon Species were quite limited.
Therefore, they were utterly dedicated to protecting their offspring.
Even if they were truly given a chance to escape, they now would certainly not abandon them.
As a result, the Poison Flying Dragons were torn between considering how they might safely escape and the need to fiercely guard their nests behind them; their enemies did not care about any of that.
One nest after another was destroyed, driving the Poison Flying Dragons into greater frenzy and completely suppressing any thought of flight.
The battle lasted over two hours, and with the demise of the last Poison Flying Dragon, the fight was over. There were still some Poison Flying Dragon juveniles below but those were not flight capable.
"What a pity, these things can’t be raised, and are useless to take back, just kill them all. Collect the corpses and treat them for preservation,"
A decaying corpse was not the same as an intact one. Valuable corpses needed processing unless they could be taken back directly—then, no treatment was required, and they would be preserved through Functional Buildings.
But this place was unsuitable. With its warm and humid environment, even the corpses of Flying Dragons would easily decay within three days.
With a wave of his hand, numerous Skeleton Flying Dragons began patrolling the entire Jade Slope. The area was home to more than just Poison Flying Dragons; there were a multitude of Dragon Beasts and even some highly venomous creatures.
In the forest, there was also a mutated Goblin group that possessed strong toxicity.
Under the sweep of Skeleton Flying Dragons, these were rapidly cleared out.
Meanwhile, the White Bone Griffin Knights released by Fang Jie also dismounted from the Griffins after Fission and began to handle the corpses. It didn’t take long for Fang Jie to deploy all the troops at his disposal.
After the Fission, the result was a whole hundred thousand troops with Golden Peak Combat Power.
Speaking of which, in order to fill his Undead Realm, Fang Jie had expended a vast amount of Resources. If he couldn’t make a profit from this Plane, that would indeed be a loss.
This Plane hadn’t yet merged into All Heavens Hunting Ground; although he could use his troops here, he couldn’t construct Functional Buildings. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have to deal with such trouble now.
