Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission -
Chapter 405: Legendary Training Program
Chapter 405: Chapter 405: Legendary Training Program
"Is there anything else?" Fang Jie asked, noticing that Rory had not left.
Rory immediately said, "We have made significant progress in intelligence gathering recently. This is the latest report that was just delivered."
Fang Jie took the report, then Rory left. Rory still had to continue integrating the legacy left by his family, as well as arranging matters for relatives.
Though he had grown powerful and influential, sometimes familial love could not be resolved simply by status alone.
Some were understanding, but others were greedy, and these issues were not so easily settled.
Fang Jie’s brows furrowed as he looked over the information.
This report, obtained after infiltrating deep into the true heartlands of the Empire and the Sea Alliance, was not secret, but it was not something ordinary people were privy to.
On this continent, there were a total of three empires. Fang Jie did not believe this world was limited to this; it should just be the nearby region that they had explored, with farther places possibly unknown to them.
If All Heavens Hunting Ground, which constantly devoured worlds, consisted merely of this, it would be rather ridiculous.
However, these three neighboring empires were not forces Fang Jie could easily contend with.
Among them, besides the Black Flame Empire, there were two others. The Black Flame Empire was a multi-racial empire centered around Elves, but the races here were all natural-born ones.
Humans were not accepted by them; at best, humans established some smaller nations around their territory.
Therefore, Black Feather Kingdom was also Elf-related, though mostly inhabited by Half-Elves.
As for the farther east, there was another powerful empire dominated by Beastmen. The Beastman Empire had tremendous strength, a martial culture, and was quite incompatible with the Elf Empire.
The two empires managed peaceful coexistence in part because they were quite distant from each other.
Another reason was the presence of another powerful empire to the North, a common enemy to both. Fang Jie had not uncovered specifics, only knowing that this northern empire consisted of Dark Creatures.
What were Dark Creatures? His own Undead were, as were those fallen races.
"It seems my luck hasn’t been all that bad," Fang Jie muttered to himself.
When he first arrived, it was in an area without any significant powers.
Otherwise, even if he had become part of the Undead Camp beforehand, he might have been eliminated once the safety period lapsed. Even now, his development would seem insignificant in the eyes of an empire.
If not for the diverse races under his command, once the empire discovered the presence of a formidable Undead Power here, they would probably not allow him to survive.
Fang Jie wondered if he could withstand even one elite imperial army attack.
And if a Demigod showed up, he wouldn’t stand a chance; escaping would be the real solution.
This affirmed Fang Jie’s determination to pursue his current course of action.
The countries to the North directly bordered the Black Flame Empire, so it was best to avoid disputes with them for now; he could not simply annihilate them. Otherwise, the empire would naturally start to investigate.
Then there was the Sea Alliance, which was a vast maritime domain.
Neither empire had completely relinquished this area, resulting in them sending expeditions to claim it. Their mutual apprehension prevented further conflict.
The result was an agreement by the empires: each person would occupy an island, and this area would remain a no-man’s land.
Those in control of these islands weren’t directly related to them, but rather belonged to branches of their royal families. Thus, the strongest two islands in the Sea Alliance were respectively owned by the Elves and Beastmen.
One was Dark Spirit Island, the other Blade Island. The names were a giveaway as to who controlled them.
Dark Spirit Island ruled over all the Elven islands of the Sea Alliance, but one island was an exception: Golden Sand Island. There was no helping it, the ruler of Dark Spirit Island was a Dark Elf, conflicting with the Light Elves of Golden Sand Island.
"I’m just glad they don’t get along; otherwise, trying to take advantage of them wouldn’t be so easy."
Fang Jie broke out in a cold sweat. The Elves on Golden Sand Island had always been his target. If he had been unaware, and those Elves were under Dark Spirit Island’s control, it would have been troublesome.
Fang Jie did not fear Dark Spirit Island, but he was not prepared to confront an empire.
His subordinates, over time, had grown to include more than the original nine Legendary Experts. Yet, there weren’t many of them—only thirteen in total, with others still learning, awaiting future tests to increase their chances.
On the surface, Dark Spirit Island already boasted sixteen Legends, not newly advanced ones.
Blade Island lay on the easternmost part of the Big Islands, a region Fang Jie’s influence had yet to reach.
According to their rules, any island under Beastman control required submission, and when summoned, they were bound to bring their forces to obey orders.
Their governance was stricter, so targeting those Beastman Islands casually was out of the question.
As per the information, both empires had secretly taken control of some territories, originally bestowed upon the Earth people. With these territories, combined with their resources, who knows how far they had developed.
Considering the strength developed from merely the territories, Fang Jie calculated it made his skin crawl. An Empire remained an Empire, possessing its own foundation; despite the same timeframe, the strength they developed from their territories might well surpass his.
If only he could directly create Legendary Level Experts, he wouldn’t have to live in such fear.
"No, I must initiate a new plan, the Legendary Training Program. Create a batch of Undead that don’t go through Fission, cultivate them to Legendary Level, and then allow Fission."
Fang Jie nodded, recognizing this approach might be wasteful, even potentially squandering a vast amount of resources. But if even one succeeded, the effort would be worth it.
After all, training one person to be Legendary was essentially like training ten.
Legends born from Fission might have unknown potential, but they certainly had not exhausted it; they could continue to grow stronger. If not for the lack of a Demigod among his ranks, he would have continued to develop this further.
Having decided, he set the plan in motion. The next batch of Gold Level Combat Power, although it pained him, he refrained from using Fission and instead sent them to battle.
