Chapter 350: Chapter 350: The Path to Legendary
After adapting to the wings for some time, Fang Jie finally landed and tucked them away.
With this item, his survival ability had greatly improved.
"Don’t even think about it, this item is of too high a level for you to fully control," Fang Jie cut off the two little foxes’ desires to experiment with the wings, though it wasn’t likely they would really express such a wish.
Despite being favored, the two little foxes, influenced by the inherent views of this world, dared not make too excessive demands.
Fang Jie didn’t mind, after all, they were at full loyalty and wouldn’t betray him.
He worried that the two wouldn’t be able to control it; although the wings could provide lift against the air during flight, they didn’t offer strong defense ability.
At that speed, if they collided with anything, with their constitution, there would be nothing left of them.
Then, Fang Jie turned his attention to the huge Treasure Box. This was a Diamond Treasure Chest, which only appeared after defeating Legendary Experts. He had already encountered one before.
"I wonder what will come out this time, the quality of the items won’t be bad, right?"
The previous battle made Fang Jie realize that even Legendary Experts varied in strength.
The Beastman Legendary had held on for a few days after being surrounded by him, while this one lasted only five hours. Although the Ghost Chains played a part, it showed the difference between them.
With the achievements gained from the initial surprise attack, the Skeleton Flying Dragons eliminated totaled less than one hundred and fifty.
This was because the Skeleton Flying Dragons continued to gather and hinder the enemy, otherwise the number would be even smaller.
Fang Jie knew that in terms of strength, this Human Legendary was far inferior to the Beastman Legendary he had encountered before. In fact, his performance might even be far less than the previous Human Legendary Experts.
"So it seems, I still cannot act rashly," Fang Jie thought to himself.
He then opened the Treasure Box, which vanished, leaving its contents scattered on the ground.
Fang Jie squinted his eyes, fixating on a round object with a very strange circular symbol on it. The design looked simple, but was impossible to remember.
The longer one looked at it, the more it made one feel dizzy and blurred.
"What is this? Legend Certificate, some kind of special equipment perhaps."
Legend Certificate: The proof leading to Legendary status. A Hero Unit at the Golden Peak who wears the Legend Certificate can ascend to Legendary Level after passing a trial in the temple. If they fail, they will never get another chance to be tested. Regardless of success or failure, the Legend Certificate will disappear. If there is a temple and a God Tributor in one’s own Territory, the difficulty of the trial will be reduced.
How to obtain: In battle, solo kill five hundred Golden Level experts, or command a war with both sides having more than ten million in scale to victory, or deliver the final blow to a Legendary Expert to become the new Legendary, or gain the approval of a God. Note: All achievements must be accomplished by a Hero Unit that has reached the Golden Level.
As Fang Jie perused the specific introduction, his expression became increasingly peculiar.
"This is the path to Legendary Level, the way has been opened, and so many conditions have been listed."
"That means, with this Legend Certificate, I could have a lot of combat power at Legendary Level to use. Too bad, normal people can’t use it," Fang Jie felt a bit regretful.
If he could use it, he would definitely have kept it for his own breakthrough in the future.
After all, as time went by, it would become increasingly difficult to obtain Legend Certificates. The items from Treasure Boxes obtained on the battlefield would also degrade, which was foreseeable.
Suddenly, Fang Jie thought of something: "Wait, that’s not right, according to these standards, some of my subordinates should already be able to meet them," he suddenly realized.
The first method of obtaining was to solo kill more than five hundred Golden Strong People in battle.
Although it sounded unbelievable, it wasn’t impossible. The first Skeleton Flying Dragon Hero that Fang Jie had could definitely do it, it was just a matter of not having enough time.
But Fang Hao and Cosette, who had been involved in the battle from the beginning, should have reached that threshold, right?
And the second method, to command a battle where both sides exceeded ten million in scale, Fang Hao and Cosette could achieve this, and even Dorola and Mobs could do it, but why had he never heard of it?
The third method was to deliver the final blow to a Legendary Expert, which seemed unreachable by anyone.
Although he had hunted two, both were dragged to death by the force of Gold troops, and he hadn’t dared to let his Gold Level Hero Unit join because he didn’t want to waste them.
And without waste, it meant that through this method, it was likely no one would obtain it.
The last method was too nebulous, needing the approval of a God, and who knew what standards a God had for approval. Most people didn’t even have the qualifications to communicate with a God.
He had had such interaction only once, and after that, he never received a response from the Cloud God again.
Of course, this wasn’t a bad thing. With Fang Jie’s character, he didn’t like to be watched by a God all the time.
"This requirement, it can’t possibly be something that is only achievable after obtaining the Legend Certificate, nor could it be a new feature. So, it’s possible that those subordinates might have already obtained the Legend Certificate."
Fang Jie believed that those subordinates would not deceive him or hide from him.
Perhaps, they didn’t even know themselves. Thinking of this, Fang Jie immediately made a note of those who might have this issue. "Call these people back immediately, no matter what they’re doing, drop everything."
When Fang Jie’s commands were issued, regardless of their status, they would return immediately.
However, waiting for their return would take some time. Fang Jie decided to look at the other items on the ground.
The remaining items were also quite good, but Fang Jie felt somewhat distracted. The only one that was still decent, a troop building upgrade card, failed to stir his emotions.
"Right, this item can upgrade troop buildings; I’ll go upgrade the Ghost Academy first."
Fang Jie thought of the Ghost Academy – indeed, it was something that needed an upgrade. He knew the value of his own Ghost Mages; if upgraded to Gold Level, they would be absolutely more astonishing.
At least the Spells he would need in the future could be entrusted to them for research. It’s just a pity that they were only proficient in Darkness and Soul Systems Magic, and not good at the White Bone System, which he mainly had to rely on himself.
