Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission -
Chapter 300: Battling the Entire World
Chapter 300: Chapter 300: Battling the Entire World
Fang Jie had adjusted his attack targets, and two massive armies headed towards the south.
The Redfoot Kingdom in the south had no idea what was happening when suddenly the Undead Army flying in from the skies bewildered them. At first, the airships failed to assemble, and combined with their own poor combat power, they were instantly destroyed by the Skeleton Flying Dragons.
By the time they reacted, not a single organized army could be found along the border.
Although there were still two armies within the country, they could not be easily deployed, as that would be detrimental to the nation.
With no other choice, the people of the Redfoot Kingdom could only engage in passive combat, gathering their Bear Goblin troops to fight against the flying troops in the sky. Occasionally, one or two Bear Goblins could fly or were skilled in long-range combat.
But their numbers were too few to make any impact.
Aside from killing a few White Bone Griffins used as cannon fodder, they were of no use against the truly formidable foes.
At this moment, Fang Jie had used his third Golden Troop Card, leaving him with only three.
An unending stream of corpses was presented to Fang Jie, who then turned them into White Bone Griffins to send into battle. The entire world was thrown into chaos by Fang Jie’s actions, overturning heaven and earth.
Such turmoil inevitably caught the attention of the Gray Head Kingdom in the north.
Shortly after the outbreak of the major conflict, the people of the Grey Head Kingdom were quick to learn of this news. They immediately declared that this was a threat to all goblins and, for their safety, they volunteered to join the battle.
Without waiting for others to agree, their troops had already flown to the vicinity of the Pula Mountain Area.
Engaging with the Gray Head Kingdom made Fang Jie realize that their electromagnetic weapons were even more lethal to his Undead. This time, he paid a much heavier price to completely crush their vanguard.
But at the same time, more and more smaller nations were getting involved.
Although these small nations were insignificant by themselves, they were numerous. They couldn’t manufacture Golden troops, and their Silver troops varied in strength, but still, there were many of them.
Such vast numbers continuously pressured Fang Jie’s White Bone Griffins.
Were it not for the plentiful supply of corpses from the south, his troop strength would likely have been insufficient by now.
But this is how technological power is; it might burst forth quickly, but it’s too dependent on raw materials. As a great deal of raw material was consumed, the production started to slow down gradually.
Destroyed factories were also a reason for this situation.
The battle between the two sides gradually entered a stalemate. Fang Jie, fighting against the entire world by himself, had managed to achieve a remarkable outcome.
Fang Jie knew it wasn’t because he was particularly strong, but because his Territory was powerful. Without those Golden Troop Cards, he would have had no chance against the goblins.
"Turns out it’s a grave; dig it up. Any usable corpses, bring them back."
One day, Fang Jie suddenly discovered a special corpse, which had been brought back from a grave. Those White Bone Griffins did not possess such reasoning, they would bring back any corpses they found, especially High-level ones.
But to Fang Jie, the corpses they brought back looked different.
This corpse had clearly been dead for a long time, and its clothes and jewelry indicated it was no ordinary person.
Fang Jie immediately thought that this wasn’t a casualty of the recent war; it had been brought up from a grave. Because of the battle, some affected graves were unearthed, and the corpses inside fell out.
If that was the case, there was no reason to waste. Fang Jie had not intended to spare this world anyway.
Following his orders, the White Bone Griffins began to dig up the graves.
Fang Jie himself felt somewhat helpless; after all, he had only improved the Summoning Skill for the White Bone Griffins. The Skeleton Generals he summoned, if released, could only last for just over half an hour.
Even as his strength increased, this duration hadn’t extended; it was an issue with the structure of the Summoning Skill.
Otherwise, Fang Jie wouldn’t have summoned only White Bone Griffins.
However, Fang Jie’s actions, after being analyzed by a group of technologically savvy individuals, were discovered.
One day, a group of goblins reported their findings. "What? You’re saying those griffins are continuously digging up graves and taking the corpses away?" The superiors were incredulous as they read the report.
Then someone suddenly realized something: "Right, I remember now, the enemy seems to place great importance on corpses. After every battle, they’d take away all the corpses—could they have a special use?"
"I think, since they use bones, perhaps it’s related to the corpses."
Another goblin spoke up: "Based on our analysis, the energy they use is also very particular; it seems like Death Energy itself. Any living being that comes into contact with it meets only one fate: death. Preliminary analysis suggests it’s an erosion or transformation of Life Force."
Although there weren’t many results from the analysis of Death Energy, they still managed to deduce some things.
After summarizing the information, everyone realized that the power used by that special creature was completely outside their system. It was a form of power that manipulated death, likely still controllable by themselves.
Despite the goblins’ strengths, most of them relied on external objects.
Bear Goblins may be powerful, but they are simple-minded and are at most tools for others to use.
"Notify everyone immediately, inform them how the enemy utilizes corpses. Then issue an order, from now on, all casualties must be promptly collected, and the bodies burned, leaving only ashes."
After pondering, the Chief spoke again: "Notify everyone to dig up the graves and after burning the corpses, rebury just the ashes."
"But this will cause a lot of resentment," someone immediately reminded.
"Explain the specific reasons to them. If they’re unwilling, leave them be for now. But once their graves are acquired by the enemy, we will confiscate their properties to compensate for their sins."
The Chief was secretly delighted, having found another good way to make money. Clearly, many would not agree, but this excuse would make their wealth his.
Those accepting the idea of cremating their relatives were, after all, in the minority. Most people would have to suffer before agreeing. Even then, many would likely try to hide the truth in other ways.
But under his surveillance, these people were merely working for him. His wealth would quickly recover.
