Chapter 291: Chapter 291 Setting Out for the New World

As a Lord, Fang Jie was set on walking the path of summoning to its very end.

The Bone Strengthening Technique and the Bone Repair Skill were both used on his own summoned creatures, specifically on bone series beings. After using the Bone Strengthening Technique, all undead bones within a few hundred meters became extremely hard.

Since the skill level had reached silver, even silver-level undead would receive considerable enhancement.

Fang Jie had experimented, and if he combined his spells with his own Silver Peak Level troops, encircling and killing a creature with Gold Level combat power was no longer as difficult as before.

As long as he could hold it back for a while, the enemy would inevitably be unable to escape.

Unless the opponent had space attribute items, they couldn’t get away even if they could fly.

The Bone Repair Skill, on the other hand, was a spell for rapid self-healing, functioning within the same range of several hundred meters and could last for half an hour. During this period, rapid recovery was possible.

If applied to skeletons at the Apprentice Level, it was practically like having an Undying Body.

Of course, if their skulls were shattered at once, they would still die; this spell only repaired bones.

This rate of recovery was much faster than the automatic restoration brought by the night and even quicker than the enhanced recovery beneath the Gathering Spirit Tower. With this spell, Fang Jie’s reliance on the environment was greatly reduced.

After completing a final check of the gear he was carrying, Fang Jie knew it was time to set out.

"I have some matters to attend to and will be away for a few days. You all handle things here yourselves, and we’ll discuss it once I return."

Fang Jie informed all his subordinates directly under him of the situation, especially those in his territory from the military. If they discovered his sudden disappearance, who knew what they might think.

Soon after, the others sent messages indicating their understanding.

After all, it was normal for Fang Jie to not manage things and to leave for periods.

Only Qin Lan seemed somewhat dissatisfied, "Where are you heading this time? I just finished up my busy period, I can join you."

Finished? What a joke, the things happening during this period were the most important. Fang Jie ignored it and straightforwardly said, "It’s related to a quest, something like a class change."

"Oh, then be careful," Qin Lan replied, knowing that she couldn’t keep up with such matters. Though disappointed, all she could do was wish him well.

"Alright, take care of yourselves. Don’t be too wilful; just keep the house clean," Fang Jie instructed the two little foxes and the little flower demon.

Then, with everyone’s reluctant gazes upon him, Fang Jie, carrying a large package, stepped by step, went into the temple.

"Are you ready? Once you accept my trial, unless successful or failed, there is no return," a grand voice echoed by Fang Jie’s ear, to which he nodded, "I’m ready."

He had prepared many things, including six Gold Level soldier cards. There was no helping it; as much as Fang Jie wanted to prepare more, the Undead Treasure Box itself had limitations.

One cooldown per day, plus the initial creation and the five days he prepared, amounted to six cards.

Thus, Fang Jie had paused many other constructions to use the accumulated spirit points to create the cards. The consumption of spirit points for this creation put quite the pressure on him.

Speaking of which, if he didn’t have the ability to fission, it would be impossible to have such a large force.

Now, creating one and after two fissions, he would have one hundred, which was just right for creating a card. However, this one card consumed more resources than creating a hundred at their full price.

Thus, the consumption of creating troops during this time had been compensated for. Moreover, the cards Fang Jie used himself were never fissioned and thus more expensive.

Fortunately, it wasn’t always like this, or his resources wouldn’t be able to support such consumption.

The Cloud God did not continue to speak. In the temple, a special magic array appeared beneath Fang Jie’s feet, and he vanished without a trace, sending not the slightest ripple through the air.

Such is the power at the level of a God, something far beyond the imagination of an ordinary person.

On the outside of the temple, it seemed as if nothing had happened. People outside desperately tried to see what was occurring inside, but the temple was pitch black, and they couldn’t see anything at all.

Elsewhere, Fang Jie felt his surroundings shift, and he found himself in another place.

"Is this the new world? Although it’s explained that this is a world dominated by goblins, I still need to explore it to understand what it’s really like," Fang Jie observed his surroundings, appearing in a mountain forest.

Next, Fang Jie released the Death Crow and hid himself in a more concealed location.

After a moment’s thought, Fang Jie set down his package and held a card in his hand, ready to use it at any time.

Before long, through the Death Crow, Fang Jie could see the outside world. "This is a highly advanced technological world? Have these goblins mastered their core technology?"

Fang Jie was astonished because the city he saw was not what he had imagined.

On the contrary, the city teemed with shining metals and some lights, which likely weren’t the glow of magic but that of lamps. This scene was different from back on Earth, yet seemed very similar.

And above them, peculiar tools dashed about.

Not vehicles that ran on wheels, but something akin to special robots with two legs.

A large cabin in the middle, with lavishly dressed goblins seated within, simply walked forward. Common goblin pedestrians dared not walk on the main roads that were reserved for this peculiar machinery.

Additionally, Fang Jie saw no presence of other races.

He did, however, see some very large special creatures working outside. But the structure of these creatures was so unique it didn’t seem like they grew normally.

"This must be biological technology, these goblins really are talented."

Fang Jie shook his head; it was a pity that this world had caught the attention of the All Heavens Hunting Ground.

Once devoured, it would be tainted with the special rules of the All Heavens Hunting Ground. By then, all this technology would be useless. Unless it was a territory with a technological type, production and further development of science and technology would be impossible.

It was unclear what was happening on the side of the All Heavens Hunting Ground, but it always seemed that such special rules were like deliberately locking up the path of technology—as if those who followed the technological route could never continue to progress on their own.
