Chapter 278: Chapter 278 The Mission is Finally Complete

Fang Jie summarized his losses and found that of the 1,600 Silver Skull War Generals, only less than 1,100 remained. A battle had cost him over five hundred in Silver Combat Power, an exaggerated loss indeed.

Just the White Wolf Totem alone had taken out nearly two hundred, with the rest perishing at the hands of Werewolves.

Even if a Werewolf Headquarters, reduced to this state, still possessed over three hundred with Silver Combat Power, how could an ordinary Bronze-level professional complete such a task?

Even pitting both sides against each other in combat, it was impossible to fight until none were left.

The difficulty of this disaster-level task was indeed not something an ordinary person could complete. However, once he completed it, the rewards he would receive were bound to be immense; but for now, he needed to catch his breath.

In this battle, Fang Jie’s summoned Skeleton Generals were at the very forefront.

After the combat, most were lost on the spot, with the remaining ones nearly annihilated during the fight.

Half an hour later, of the nearly five thousand Skeleton Generals, less than six hundred remained alive. Finally, only 490 were left; the others turned into Kugu in front of Fang Jie and then vanished without a trace.

The excess beyond his control was just like that, only able to be maintained for a certain duration.

The Zombie Army he brought also suffered significant losses that needed replenishing. Luckily, there were corpses everywhere on the ground now, even those of Silver level, wasted indeed.

Unfortunately, Fang Jie, not yet at Silver level, couldn’t make use of corpses of that level.

Even if he forcefully summoned them, they would only be slightly stronger than the typical Bronze-level Zombies, that’s all.

What’s crucial was that it consumed more Death Energy than other corpses. It seemed rather more of a loss than a gain.

"Forget it, if it can be strengthened a bit, then so be it. I’ll just use those low-level corpses as material," Fang Jie eventually had no choice but to waste these corpses, as he couldn’t take them back with him.

Over the next period of time, Fang Jie summoned and replenished his fighting force here, restoring his Bronze-level Skeleton Generals, until all the corpses in this place were used up.

Taking advantage of the fortifications here also reduced the damage of the Wind Bone Grass on his Zombies.

Even though the fortresses here were already damaged, they were still of some little use.

Having done all this, Fang Jie began to wander across the plains without going directly to trouble those Wild Boar Men. As time passed, their food would become scarcer and his condition would decline.

Time was on his side; Fang Jie just needed to occasionally replenish some Wind Bone Grass to maintain this environment.

Then, Fang Jie spent some time tidying up every nook and cranny of the Werewolf area, eliminating all that were hidden. He believed that even if there were any that slipped through the net, they couldn’t survive much longer.

The ground had already become desolate; one could say there was nothing to eat at all.

Had Fang Jie not brought extra food with him earlier, he would probably have nothing to eat by now.

The storages he searched out from some fortresses, Fang Jie could only let the Skeletons carry them after identification. He did not dare taste without knowing what was inside; who knows what he might ingest.

After cleaning up this side, Fang Jie’s Zombie army grew even larger.

Next, Fang Jie entered Wild Boar Man territory, starting from the outskirts and encircling inwards.

He saw some fortresses, but the people inside were skin and bones, looking very pitiful. There were some fortresses that were inherently dilapidated, with many signs of combat and slaughter evident.

Clearly, those inside had turned on each other, their whereabouts unknown.

But with the situation outside, even if they risked running out, they definitely couldn’t get far.

Fang Jie encircled and exterminated them, round after round, until finally facing the Wild Boar Man Leader’s fortress. From the air, Fang Jie saw despair on the faces inside, many skin and bones.

In the large pot in the middle, many of the contents being cooked were Ratman and Wild Boar Man corpses.

Their days were undoubtedly hard, with significantly reduced combat power.

Looking back at his own forces, Fang Jie knew this was the final moment. "Go, surround them, and start the battle as before."

Although Fang Jie said so, he still had to control them himself since these Undead were simpletons.

Even his initially summoned Silver-level Skeleton Generals had very simplistic minds, far inferior to those of the Elite Units, with no equivalent combat strength seen among them.

Fang Jie controlled the Undead from all sides, then proceeded with Fission on his own troops.

A full-on charge, with no special tactics, just a rush to eradicate everyone inside in one breath. The wall of the fortress quickly fell to the fearless Undead charge.

After use over this period, these rough walls couldn’t withstand pressure as well as at the beginning.

However, the Wild Boar Men’s resistance was much stronger than the Werewolves. After all, their individual physical strength was greater. Without speed, Werewolves were far inferior to Wild Boar Men.

This was the last battle, and Fang Jie simply let loose, not caring about losses.

With the slaughter, the Wild Boar Ancestor Spirits gradually weakened, eventually falling to the same state as the White Wolf.

One by one, the silver-strength Wild Boar warriors perished, even with their outbursts, fell to stronger Undead. Until at the end, about two hundred Silver-level Skeleton Generals remained when the last enemy Silver was killed.

Bronze-level Wild Boar Men dwindled to less than ten, swiftly wiped clean.

"Finally resolved; now to see how long the rest can hold on."

After the place was cleansed, the task had not yet been marked as complete.

Fang Jie knew that no matter how thorough the slaughter, there would always be fish that slipped through the net. But certainly not many, Fang Jie would just create Wind Bone Grass and wait here.

If it really came down to it, those collected resources had to be consumed.

"If only I had thought to spare a few Wolf Mounts." Fang Jie somewhat regretted his lack of thorough consideration. But as the food he brought neared depletion, he faced real concerns.

Fortunately, at that moment, Fang Jie suddenly received a message.

"The class-changing task has been completed, please prepare to return."

"It’s finally over." After the last great battle, Fang Jie had been waiting here for more than ten days. There was no way around it; the task required all Beastmen to be utterly vanquished.
