Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission
Chapter 142: The Sudden Naval Battle

Chapter 142: Chapter 142: The Sudden Naval Battle

Fang Jie had never expected that, despite his previous complaints, he would be thrown into a sea battle so suddenly.

The most critical point was that the attack came out of nowhere. Although the Sea Beasts lacked high intelligence, they were no fools, or it might be said that some Sea Beasts were actually quite smart and not inferior to humans.

So even though these Sea Beasts kept trying to break through, once they realized this side’s strength, they began to slowly gather. Yet judging by the looks of these Sea Beasts, it was clear they had no intention of giving up.

Fang Jie had also taken advantage of these past few days to constantly produce a large number of Death Lobster Men.

Whenever he found an opportunity while the others were not paying attention, he split the Death Lobster Men, significantly increasing their numbers.

Like this, relying on a few Skeleton Conversion Fields directly under his territory, Fang Jie’s military strength increased rapidly. These Death Lobster Men had entered the water, but they were still quite a distance from the front lines.

"I feel that the Sea Beasts are behaving abnormally this time, so I had the White Bone Vultures and skeleton birds conduct a thorough investigation."

"What are the results of the investigation? Did you find anything?" Fang Jie asked.

Qin Lan nodded, "We discovered some special large bats in the ocean that occasionally appear. However, under normal circumstances, these bats wouldn’t venture so deep into the sea. Later, I had someone follow one of them and quickly shot it down."

"What do you think I discovered?" Qin Lan suddenly started to smile.

For these sorts of scheming and crafty matters, the newly born Skeleton Hero had no such thought patterns and wouldn’t consider such a possibility. But Qin Lan was different; she sensed something was wrong right away.

As she spoke, Fang Jie also sensed that something was amiss.

"Bats? Is this a tactic from Flower Plateau, and they’ve had the Bat Demon Beasts use something?"

"It’s even more direct than you think; it’s not Bat Demon Beasts but Vampires themselves entering the fray."

So that was it; it seems their move this time was no small matter. "Forget it, let’s not bother with them. It would be strange if they did nothing. Considering their current situation, they must be at their limit."

"I think so too. Drawing their attention here suits us perfectly, allowing us to secretly transport troops as part of our plan."

Although the sea was turbulent, the battleground was to the east and north of Flower Plateau. There were no issues with the sea lanes on this side. Fang Jie had constructed two Fortresses on both the desolate island and the beach.

The two Fortresses might not have looked very large, but the Hidden Soldier Caves underneath were extensive.

The entire underside of the desolate island had almost been hollowed out, which posed a substantial risk. One misstep, and the island could collapse. To counter this, Fang Jie has also reinforced the structural strength of the Fortress.

The Hidden Soldier Cave beneath the beach was even bigger, not only extending under the territory he had purchased but also reaching under the highland.

With at least five hundred meters of thickness between there and the surface of the highland, nobody would be able to detect what was happening below.

A vast amount of troops had been concealed inside the Hidden Soldier Caves, something only the Undead could accomplish since they didn’t need food or drink. When battle broke out, these Undead would emerge en masse from within.

"Report, the Sea Beasts have started their assault."

There was a certain distance to the opposing side, so there was some delay in transmitting information.

It would take at least half an hour to an hour for the White Bone Vultures to travel back and forth. Although the Stone Statue Ghosts had achieved Bronze Level, they were not as fast as the White Bone Vultures over long distances.

So if the message now said that the assault had started, that meant the battle had already kicked off.

Now, one could only trust the Lobster Man Heroes. Fang Hao had already gone to the deserted island, but he could only provide overall command. When the actual battle took place, Fang Hao couldn’t see what was happening under the water.

At this moment, a large number of Death Lobster Men and various Sea Beasts were frantically fighting each other. From time to time, corpses floated up to the surface, only to be torn apart and devoured by the Sea Beasts.

Some that drifted this way were grabbed by the Death Lobster Men behind and transported to the rear.

These items would temporarily be placed in the Corpse Maintenance Room until they could be dealt with in the future at a Corpse Processing Plant.

Both sides fought without regard for life or death, the Sea Beasts seeming mad. Fortunately, although the Death Lobster Men were somewhat more delicate compared to the Sea Beasts, they knew how to arrange their troops into formations. Under the leadership of Hero Units, they could exhibit considerable strength.

Some Death Lobster Men even deliberately approached large Sea Beasts, allowing themselves to be eaten.

The large Sea Beasts didn’t know that these Death Lobster Men’s bodies were filled with a potent poison. Once swallowed, the poison would take immediate effect, causing expulsion and death to the Sea Beast.

Though the Death Lobster Men themselves died, the Sea Beasts didn’t fare any better.

"It’s a Gold Level Sea Beast; I didn’t expect one of this tier to appear. That guy seems to be the overall commander, but he isn’t affected. What should we do?"

"Find a way to surround it stealthily; we must not let it escape. The Lord needs a corpse of a Gold Sea Beast."

The Lobster Man Heroes, who were far away, carefully started discussing upon spotting the Sea Beast, which resembled a barracuda but with a head that looked like a lion’s.

There was no helping it—within the sea, the most powerful of these Lobster Men were only of Bronze Level.

If they weren’t careful and deployed a large army for a siege, they would truly be unable to detain a Sea Beast of Golden Level. But as Heroes, they understood the significance of such a prize.

After the battle, among these Hero Units, some had reached Silver Level, but they couldn’t compare to Golden Level.

Soon, the message was conveyed to Fang Hao’s side, and his intentions were the same.

"If all else fails, let the Stone Statue Ghosts enter the sea. After all, they’re made of stone, and the sea won’t affect them too much. As long as they can block the Sea Beast, that’s sufficient."

Finally, the message reached Fang Jie, who knew the plan was in motion.

"That’s the only option we have. After all, to upgrade to a city, we can’t do without Gold Level prey." Qin Lan was unaware of the details of the Nether God Tower, but Fang Jie hadn’t concealed the conditions of the Territory Upgrade.

Without the need for him to explain, many people had already come to understand some of these details through other channels.

As messages went back and forth, by the time new orders reached the front lines, the entire battlefield had turned into a sea of red. This vast volume of blood and gore attracted even more Sea Beasts.

Even the Vampires on Flower Plateau, upon smelling such a scent, salivated.
