Chapter 136: The Town Advancing Two Levels
Chapter 136: Chapter 136: The Town Advancing Two Levels
Vampires, as a race, were indeed very mysterious in the eyes of human societies.
So, it wasn’t strange that many things about them were unclear. However, Qin Lan remained somewhat uneasy and after giving it some thought, she said, "Let’s go and investigate, try to ensure there are no problems."
Fang Jie nodded, "Alright, then I’ll leave that to you guys. I’ll develop more during this time. We’re about to have silver-level combat power output." A glimmer of light flashed in Fang Jie’s eyes.
Qin Lan had known this already, so she didn’t find it peculiar.
What did strike Qin Shulan as surprising was the strength of the power she was part of; it had grown to such a degree. Everyone had somewhat adapted to this world over such a long time.
Qin Shulan knew that the most formidable powers in this world were always the strong ones.
Being able to produce silver-level combat power on their own probably meant their strength wasn’t far from that of the New Moon Kingdom.
After all, even the New Moon Kingdom wasn’t known to casually deploy gold-level combat power. Since they hadn’t reached that stage, it only meant that they couldn’t mass-produce gold-level combat power.
That kind of strength was mostly cultivated by themselves.
After ending the communication, Fang Jie opened the panel and stepped out. After waiting so long, his town had finally reached the level to upgrade.
Many materials had been prepared early on; the only lacking component was new servants.
"Let’s upgrade. I want to see what changes this time," Fang Jie said.
The Lord Mansion of the small town upgraded very rapidly. Although a large amount of material was used, Fang Jie didn’t know exactly where it went; it seemed as if most of it disappeared into thin air.
"Enough materials, let’s do it one more time." Fang Jie opened the panel to check and then chose to upgrade again.
This time the town was directly elevated to level 9, with a notification saying the town level had reached its limit. To continue upgrading, a new challenge was necessary—this one to elevate the city.
Unfortunately, the resources required were too high and the combat power was probably insufficient.
Origin Town Level 9: Territory Core Building, possessing certain production capabilities, able to produce Skeleton Labor, Ghost Servants, and Blood Servants. Town units, includes Affiliated Stone City Wall, Arrow Tower. Residents have a certain probability of becoming Elite Units, enhancing the chances of Elite Units breaking through to Hero Units. The territory has the capability to construct Affiliated Territories, the Talent of the Affiliated Territory being equivalent to that of the Territory itself, and absolute dominion in the region is required for construction.
Upgrade requires Refined Stone Bricks 60000 units, refined wood planks 60000 units, Marble Plate 20000 units, Carved Wood Plate 20000 units, Rune Stone Bricks 10000 units, Rune Crystal Plate 10000 units, Advanced Yin Gathering Stone 15000 units, Advanced Undead Wood 15000 units, bones 60000 units, Black Iron Bones 1000 units, bronze bone 50 units, Silver Bones 5 units, Golden Bones 1 unit, Spirit Points 1000000 units, Population 500000. Functional Building ×20, Silver Functional Building ×5, Statue ×1, Gold Level Combat Power ×10, Mage Tower
Various materials increased significantly, all being high-end materials. Fortunately, after looking over it, Fang Jie found he already had all the necessary Synthesis Diagrams, so he wasn’t short on materials, just needing some time for manufacture.
If it really couldn’t be helped, just create a few more Material Warehouses, and the manufacturing speed would naturally increase.
After several battles, Fang Jie had already amassed a considerable number of Hero Units.
Some places lacked sufficient Material Warehouses, many Hero Units were manufactured in rotation, already forming a shift system. In terms of manpower, Fang Jie considered himself well-supplied.
However, those Golden Bones, and the Golden-Level Exotic Beast Skull needed for producing his Gold-Level Nether God Tower, required the hunting of Gold-Level Combat Power. This would ideally be accomplished in the upcoming battles.
Within the Functional Buildings, Fang Jie counted his own Functional Buildings, totaling 18 types, just two short of meeting the requirement. Silver Buildings now included Material Warehouses and Hero Training Towers at Silver Level.
But he had another building, the Sun Tower.
The Sun Tower belonged to Territory Auxiliary Buildings and with the gradual elevation of Territory Level, now reaching town level 9, the Sun Tower’s level was essentially at the Silver Level.
Holding two troop building upgrade cards in his hand, he could add another two.
So, Silver Building standards were already preemptively met, it seemed quite fast indeed.
If other lords were aware of this notion, it would be interesting to see their reaction. Even local lords, after many years of development, might not have the foundational strength Fang Jie possessed.
As for the next two conditions, Fang Jie frowned. One was Gold-Level Combat Power, which represented not just combat power, but also the difficulty of his upcoming trials.
Since the requirements included having ten Gold-Level Combat Powers, one could imagine the difficulty of his challenges.
Disaster-level trials probably meant his enemies would definitely have Gold-Level strength, and certainly not just ten of them. Maybe a hundred, no, disaster-level difficulty couldn’t be that low.
So, Fang Jie thought, "I should prepare considering a thousand Gold-Level opponents, no, two thousand."
Preparing excessively wouldn’t be a problem, but being underprepared would be dangerous.
Fang Jie didn’t know exactly how many would return, although by estimates it was probably just a few hundred, but he still planned to play it safe and overprepare, as it was always better to be cautious.
Regarding how powerful Gold-Level combatants were, Fang Jie wasn’t sure but he intended to find out.
In the forthcoming battles, he definitely had to face Gold-Level Combat Power.
The final condition likely was another that depended on chance. It required a Mage Tower, clearly a special building. But as for where to acquire this Mage Tower, what was needed at the very least were diagrams. It seemed Fang Jie could only leave it to chance, leaving him at a loss for words.
After the town’s elevation, its functions also improved, with the city walls becoming Stone City Walls.
The ability of Elite Units increased, and their chances of breaking through to Hero status also rose, significantly enhancing the overall level. Most importantly, he could now build Affiliated Territories.
Previously, he could only capture and convert other people’s territories, but now he had the ability to build his own.
Although it consumed a lot of resources and required control, these were hardly issues.
