Chapter 119: Chapter 119 The Head of Coastal Village

Fang Jie looked at the map, and Qin Shulan indeed had a very clear understanding of ocean development.

The dense handwriting marked on the map proved that Qin Shulan had been working very hard during this period.

"Not bad at all. So, do you have a plan for sea transportation?"

"I believe there’s no need to rush sea transportation for the time being, as we don’t have ships made according to the rules of this world. It’s not easy to operate on the ocean."

There were examples of this; Fang Jie had bought quite a number of ships, all of which were pieces that had dropped over from Earth.

However, those oil-burning ships couldn’t be used anymore, so only some retro wooden ships were still serviceable. But on this ocean, there are always some special rules in effect, so these ships were greatly affected.

Due to some accidents, many ships had already sunk to the bottom of the sea.

Luckily, since they were all skeletons and constructed troops, there wasn’t much of a loss.

In Fang Jie’s eyes, these constructed creatures, unless they reached the status of heroes, couldn’t be considered normal people, so there was no real loss.

"We need to first ascertain the situations of the nearby areas and, based on their power and acceptance levels, arrange different people to interact with them. Only then can we properly develop sea transportation."

Fang Jie nodded; indeed, there was no need to rush. In fact, the ability to develop the ocean was also related to the Death Lobster Man.

"Good. Then the position of the village chief is yours."

Fang Jie made his decision quickly and was not worried about problems. With the recognition as the Territory’s person in charge, in the future, it would be easy to mobilize the troops under this Territory and construct various buildings.

One could say that with this identity, all kinds of developmental issues became much easier, quite similar to that of a Lord.

Fang Jie appointed her so easily because he was not concerned. After all, even if she were to defect or encounter other problems, a single thought from him could remove her appointment.

This was the absolute control a Lord had over an Affiliated Territory, also considered Fang Jie’s lazy man power in his mind.

Being a bit lazy was not a problem for him, as there would never be a situation he could not control.

During this time, suddenly a Lobster Man ran over: "Lord, village chief, there’s a situation. We’ve found lots of Fishmen in the sea, and they’re gathering."

This was an Elite; although not a Hero Unit, it had no problem speaking.

Speaking of which, during the previous battles, the Death Lobster Man, often used by Fang Jie as incendiary projectiles, were lucky to have survived, and becoming an Elite was even more difficult.

"You’re doing well with your improvements. Once you continue to advance, I will permit you to go to the Hero Training Tower."

The Death Lobster Man bowed slightly; as an Undead, the Death Lobster Man didn’t have much of an emotional reaction.

"Fishmen gathering, it seems they want revenge. We previously drove away all the Fishmen from this area and now have occupied it; these Fishmen are finally prepared to take back their territory."

Qin Lan didn’t expect that the Fishmen would take so long to return after leaving, but previously, they were indeed helpless. Now however, things were different, with an endless supply of Death Lobster Men, they were not afraid.

Qin Shulan was somewhat embarrassed: "Well, I have never led a war."

"No worries, everyone has a first time. Just get accustomed to it. If you are unsure, just send the Lobster Men to charge straight into battle, they are much stronger than those Fishmen anyway."

Fang Jie was unconcerned by this, but it was time to create a Lobster Man Hero Unit to assist. After all, it seemed that she was truly not adept in combat scenarios.

Although Fang Jie said this, Qin Shulan still didn’t want to act rashly and lower her impression in front of Fang Jie.

So Qin Shulan pulled Qin Lan to start studying tactics, and although Qin Lan wasn’t skilled in this area, she had at least witnessed some. "Let’s go consult with a Hero Unit; they understand much more than we do."

Qin Lan thought for a moment and simply called over a Hero Unit. This one had participated in a great battle and had ample experience.

As for the inheritance of knowledge, although there was some disparity among Hero Units, the fundamentals were no different.

All questions the two of them were unclear about, the Hero would answer them with ease.

At this moment, Fang Jie was having Skeleton Birds fly around everywhere, performing reconnaissance. Yes, the Skeleton Birds, a result of Fang Jie using the Troop Construction Diagram left over from creating new troops.

After constructing the Apprentice-level Lobster Man, Fang Jie was left with Apprentice and Black Iron diagrams.

After some thought, he used them to create Flying Troops.

At present, the Flying Troops still relied on Mechanical Flying Eagles, without their own Undead troop types, which Fang Jie was very unsatisfied with. After the new construction diagram fulfilled the need for sea troops, Fang Jie immediately looked to the skies.

Skeleton Bird Level 1: Rank (Apprentice) Flying

Recruitment required: 1 unit of Corpse Bones, 1 unit of Spiritual Energy, produces 5 per unit

White Bone Vulture Level 5: Rank (Black Iron) Flying, Intimidation

Recruitment required: 2 units of Black Iron Corpse Bones, 300 units of Spiritual Energy

The two new types of troops, the Skeleton Birds, had poor strength, just like ordinary birds, with almost no combat ability. Produced in fives, their numbers were vast, primarily for reconnaissance purposes.

From a distance, they just looked like a grayish-white bird, barely carrying any Undead aura.

Unless caught for a close inspection, these creatures were unlikely to be noticed as anything unusual.

As for the White Bone Vulture, that was a normal combat unit. However, the intimidation ability could only be used on living creatures weaker than itself, embodying the Undead’s innate intimidation of the living.

Regarding combat power, Fang Jie had tested it; three White Bone Vultures were not a match for a single Mechanical Flying Eagle.

But one advantage was that they were really cheap, and in Fang Jie’s hands, they became even cheaper. A single material yielded sixteen; surely sixteen could defeat one Mechanical Flying Eagle.

All it needed was a Corpse, and he had plenty of Spiritual Energy points. Once the Nether God Tower was erected, Black Iron Corpses would likely not be in short supply.

At this time, many Skeleton Birds were flying over the ocean, trying to discern something through the changes on the sea’s surface.

With the massive gathering of Fishmen in the ocean, some changes were still discernible. The Fishmen couldn’t wait for too long, and as their numbers increased, some started to become restless.

Finally, after gathering for three days, the Fishmen began to move.
